One of Niki’s favorite parts about Vegas is that it is a super travel-friendly city. It has multiple flights coming in and out at all times and days, making it easy for you and your guests to arrive. With the variety of hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, downtown, or even on the outskirts of the main strip, you have many options for selecting your stay. The hotels range in all price ranges; that is fine if you want to do a room block.
Many hotels also have lots of entertainment on site, so ensuring your guests have something to do at all times is not a worry. From the millions of shows, day clubs/night clubs, festivals, conventions, concerts, and other fun experiences this city offers, you give your guests an experience in a fun new city as they celebrate the rest of their visit.

Best Time of Year
You can’t go wrong when planning your big day in this lively city! If you have your heart set on an outdoor wedding in Las Vegas, it’s essential to consider the weather. Due to milder temperatures, spring and fall are generally more suitable for outdoor ceremonies. Summer can be scorching, so if you plan to marry outdoors during this season, opt for an evening ceremony when it’s cooler or keep it indoors. Their best months are March, April, May, September, October, and November. These months give you the best weather when it comes to temperatures & other factors such as wind!
Picking a Date
Las Vegas hosts numerous events and conventions throughout the year, which can affect hotel availability and prices. Check the city’s event calendar to avoid booking your wedding during a significant event that may impact your plans. Some annual events are the Life is Beautiful Festival, National Finals Rodeo, Electric Daisy Carnival, Formula One, and many more. If you are looking at the calendar in general, Las Vegas is a 24-hour town with always something going on. Want to get married on a Monday in the afternoon? No problem. Some of Niki’s favorites are The Little White Wedding Chapel and Sure Thing Chapel. They have that classic “Vintage Vegas wedding” experience & even a pink Cadillac! If you’re lucky, Elvis can appear or even be your officiant for the ceremony!
Want a little adventure? You and your partner can embrace the natural beauty of the Mojave Nevada desert! Some of the many venues that Las Vegas has to offer are Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley & Valley of Fire. These valleys, canyons, and limestone create the perfect natural backdrop to a wedding in the desert. Any of these locations provide breathtaking views and excursions for couples who want a little more than your traditional venue.
Las Vegas has some seriously unique venues for couples who crave something out of the ordinary. Make it Legal
Getting married in Vegas is super easy as well. The marriage license bureau is where you’ll file for your paperwork to make this thing official. They are open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. until midnight so lots of time to get all your paperwork in order. Here are some of the “must haves” when it come to getting your license:
You must be currently unmarried and at least 18 years of age
You must have government-issued identification with a photo displaying your current likeness (for example, a driver’s license or passport)
The ceremony must be performed in Nevada by an Officiant licensed in Nevada
Someone other than the Officiant must witness you saying your vows.
It’s important to note that there is no need for blood tests to be wed, and there’s also no waiting period to apply for your marriage license. However, keep in mind that your license has a one-year validity from the date of issuance.
Once you’ve got all your essential requirements in order, you can apply for your marriage license, which can be picked up at the marriage license bureau. Here’s the link to the license application. You and your partner must collect your license together when you arrive at the bureau. No appointment is necessary, but you’ll be required to present your identification, verify your information, and cover a convenience fee to facilitate the preparation and processing of your license.
Once you’ve obtained your license, you can provide the necessary paperwork to your officiant or planner at your wedding venue. They will guide you through the process, and you’ll be on your way to starting your forever together!
