The Most Vibrant and Citrus-Soaked Wedding Punta Mita Has Ever Seen

Featured Members

Some weddings are beautiful. This one was delicious. Hudson and Dylan showed up to The Four Seasons Punta Mita with their favorite people, a vision board soaked in citrus colors and tropical textures, and zero intention of playing it safe. The genius minds behind every jaw-dropping detail were The Dazzling Details, and honestly, they outdid themselves.

Location: Punta Mita, Mexico
Style: Vibrant, Maximalist, Chic
Time of planning: 1 year
Number of guests: 152
Setting: Beach Resort
Season: Spring

They met in their last year at the University of Oklahoma, two students from different cities who somehow ended up in the same place at the right time. After graduation, they both landed in Dallas, which in retrospect feels less like a coincidence and more like the universe doing its thing. The proposal happened on December 28th, 2023 in Cabo San Lucas, because when your relationship already has a tradition of New Year’s trips together, you might as well make one of them unforgettable.

Hudson chose sunset on the beach, a private dinner set up for just the two of them, and apparently executed the whole thing so well that Dylan had no idea it was coming, even though there were signs. One year later, they were back on a Mexican coastline, this time with flowers, a live band, 152 guests, and a nightclub waiting for them at the end of the night. The whole day was captured on video by Roma Romanov, and you can watch it right below.

Welcome Day

The wedding weekend didn’t start on the wedding day, it started the night before, with a welcome party that set the tone for everything to come. The dress code was all white, and guests actually delivered: they gathered poolside looking like the world’s most stylish summer editorial, all linen and sundresses and that specific kind of effortless that takes effort.

Inside, the welcome dinner space had soaring ceilings with oversized woven rattan pendants hanging overhead, long tables in white linen, natural rattan chairs, and warm candlelight, building as the evening settled in, clean, breathable, the perfect exhale before the maximalist main event, The Dazzling Details had been quietly constructing for a year.

Hudson showed up in cream linen trousers and a white open-collar shirt, relaxed and considered. Dylan wore a gold sequin gown with a deep cowl back that made very clear the maximalism was already loading. Punta Mita did what it always does: made everything feel effortless while quietly being extraordinary in every direction.

Bride's Morning & Fashion

Dylan spent her wedding morning surrounded by her bridesmaids, riding a wave of excitement that was already at full volume, and then the dress went on. The look she chose was a statement from start to finish: a satin mermaid gown with a dramatic pleated train by Nicole + Felicia, paired with a flower scarf and a simple veil.

For her hair, she knew from the beginning she wanted it slicked back and up. The makeup was the kind of look that photographs beautifully in both the soft morning light and the golden chaos of the reception, all pulled together by Jenn Chivers, who clearly understood the assignment.

The shoes deserved their own moment too. Platform heels that kept Dylan comfortable from ceremony to last dance, with a floral detail that mirrored her flower scarf and tied the whole look together.

Dylan’s own words about walking into that morning: “lots of excitement, gratitude, awe at the love and work and effort put into the whole weekend by everyone involved.” Which is exactly the energy you want to carry down a white aisle toward the Pacific Ocean.

Groom's Look

Hudson went custom: Ralph Lauren Purple Label, and shoes by To Boot New York. The kind of groom look that’s quietly considered from head to toe, which sat perfectly in the warm, sun-soaked palette of the whole day.

Ceremony

The ceremony was placed right at the water’s edge, a raised white platform on the sand at Manzanillas Beach, Pacific literally behind it. The elevation gave every guest a clear sightline and made the ocean part of the design rather than just the view.

The altar was two independent floral columns by Floristica PV, one on each side, rising from the ground and left open at the top with arch connecting them, just sky. Coral, peach, rust, fuchsia, and orange blooms stacked dense from the base up, spilling outward.

The bridesmaids in their mismatched deep reds, corals, and fuchsias matched the columns so precisely they read as part of the installation. There was no first look, Hudson saw Dylan for the first time on the aisle, in front of their people, with the Pacific behind her.

Moments Together

Right after the ceremony, cocktail hour hit under the Manzanilla trees lining the beach: thatched umbrellas, low rattan lounge setups, a full bar, and more than a hundred people who had just watched something really good and were ready to talk about it.

While guests settled in, the couple snuck off to the shoreline with Sasha Samsonova, and got their beach portraits done while the light was still doing that thing it does on the Mexican coast in the late afternoon.

Reception

The Dazzling Details set three completely distinct tabletop designs across the reception, and the first thing that hits you is the linen. Botanical-print tablecloths in orange and cream, the kind of pattern that makes the whole table feel like a mood board came to life. On top of that: terracotta charger plates, coral linen napkins folded loose, amber glassware catching candlelight, tall tapered candles running the length of the tables, and whole actual oranges sitting there like they were styled in.

The Floristica PV centerpieces were dense, warm, and overflowing. Roses, ranunculus, peach, fuchsia, and rust all stacked together, the exact same color energy as the ceremony arch, but now at table height and scaled across the whole room. Patterned dance floor, patterned bar, sculptural lighting suspended overhead.

The escort display was custom matchbooks, because Dylan collects matchbooks, and it turned that into a full art installation for seating assignments. At every place setting, a handcrafted bracelet personalized with each guest’s name, color-coded by table, inspired by the woven bracelets Hudson and Dylan bought on a Mexican beach early in their relationship and then kept wearing for years.

Los Creamsons ran the dance floor all night, a late-night carajillo station kept things very correctly Mexican. At 10 p.m., the final move was made: the place transformed into a custom nightclub.

Hudson and Dylan snuck off with their friend Reece, walked over together, used the few minutes between the reception and the after-party to actually talk about the day and then walked through the door into something they completely did not expect. Their words: the most epic and fun way to end the best day of their lives. We’re not going to argue with that.

 Advice from the couple:

• First, hire The Dazzling Details! Enjoy the process, try to find small moments in between the chaos to be present with each other.
