The Dolce & Gabbana Inspired Destination Wedding in Italy

Location: Sorrento, Italy
Setting: Villa
Wedding season: Summer
The number of guests: 60
How long did the couple plan the event: 1 year
Wedding theme/style: Glam.

Jennifer and David are a stunning couple with a deeply romantic story that felt meant to be. David was immediately drawn to Jennifer, a strong, attractive, and independent woman with a strong faith in God. On the other hand, Jennifer found many qualities in David that she admired, especially his kindness and the sense of security and comfort he brought into her life. Their mutual love for travel further strengthened their bond as they explored numerous countries. Their adventures together inspired them to plan a future that involved building a new house and sharing it with their lovely dog, Salvatore.

The couple desired a wedding inspired by Dolce Gabbana’s style, set against the stunning backdrop of Sorrento, Italy, overlooking the sea. With the help of planners at Elleffevents, their dream wedding became a reality. The team guided the couple every step of the way, ensuring that the event was not only memorable for the newlyweds but also left a lasting impression on their guests.

Jennifer’s bridal look was truly stunning and timeless. She chose a gorgeous mermaid dress from the Princess Collection at Kleinfeld Bridal, but searching for the perfect gown was quite challenging. The bride and her wedding planner, Natalie from Elleffevents, selected the dress in New York. Natalie shared: “The wedding was planned for June 13, 2023, and at the beginning of February, the bride called me and said that she had a problem and couldn’t find the wedding dress. And in May, she was already leaving for Europe. We had three months to find the dress. So I flew from Milan to NY to look for the dress with Jen, and we found it at Kleinfeld and took it away immediately.”

David enjoyed a peaceful morning with his groomsmen as they prepared for the big day ahead. He looked classy in a stylish white tuxedo and a bow tie.

The ceremony setting was breathtaking: “As for the design, Jen wanted something that no one had seen before, a ceremony where the view of the Mediterranean Sea had to be the protagonist. So, she chose the transparent pillars, which gave the idea of a suspended effect. Jen loves burgundy peonies, so they were used a lot in the arrangement. We accented the flowers because the Dolce and Gabbana dress with floral patterns inspired the wedding,” shared the planner.

The moment Jennifer and David exchanged vows with the breathtaking view of the sea in Sorrento was so touching that it moved guests to tears.

The newlyweds spent quality time together just before the celebration and had a beautiful photoshoot in the picturesque surroundings.

The newlyweds had a wonderful time during the cocktail hour, chatting with guests, sipping delicious cocktails, and dancing to lively music.

At dinner, the newlyweds were warmly greeted by all the guests, who showered them with heartfelt wishes while they savored the spectacular sunset.

As the sun set, Jennifer changed into an elegant dress, her hair styled in an updo. The newlyweds then cut into their delicious cake adorned with bright red roses, adding an extra special touch to the celebration.

The evening continued with the newlyweds and their guests dancing to lively tunes. Everyone enjoyed this dream Italian wedding.
