Kevin and Harrison’s wedding celebrated love, authenticity, and the deep connection they’ve built over the years. It was a reflection of their personalities—intimate, heartfelt, and filled with personal touches that made the day uniquely theirs.
Location: Vancouver, Washington, US
Style: Moody Modern European Romance
Time of planning: 14 months
Number of guests: 40
Setting: Private Property
Season: Fall
Kevin and Harrison’s love story began in August 2018, when fate brought them together at a music festival in Brownsville, Oregon. Both made spontaneous decisions that led to their meeting, and despite a slightly awkward first encounter, a deep connection sparked between them. As Harrison recalls, “That moment sparked a conversation that changed everything.” What started as a chance meeting turned into six years of love, long-distance visits, and finally, a beautiful wedding.
Kevin proposed on the street, a place full of special memories for Harrison. After a lunch at her favorite restaurant, he led her to the street where their families waited. In the middle of the intersection, he dropped to one knee, and with a “Yes!” they were met with cheers and applause.
Inspiration & Planning
The wedding vision was deeply personal, influenced by the timeless elegance of the bride’s family. Inspired by her grandmother, who epitomized class, and her mom, who carried the same grace, Harrison set out to create a celebration that honored the past. Her love for vintage pieces—whether furniture, clothing, or accessories—served as the cornerstone of her vision. The planners at Kayloe Bridal played a significant role in bringing this vision to life, carefully curating each detail to ensure it was as the intimate, romantic atmosphere as the bride envisioned.
Couple's Morning & Fashion
When it came to her wedding dress, Harrison started with a clear vision of something “plain and simple,” but as soon as she slipped into the “Posie” gown by Made with Love Bridal, everything changed. “It was the only dress that brought out a truly natural smile.” Even though her bridal party favored a strapless tulle ballgown, she knew “Posie” was the one. The dress became even more personal when Krysti at Behind the Seams Bridal worked her magic, transforming the gown into a long-sleeved masterpiece.
Harrison’s shoe search was another adventure in itself. After struggling to find the right satin heels, fate led her to a pair of Amina Muaddi Ami Pumps in a stunning green. Her accessories were simple yet meaningful, with gold pearl drop earrings gifted by her mom and Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel as her “something borrowed” from her sister. For hair and makeup, she drew inspiration from her grandma’s updos and Pamela Anderson’s classic style. She requested “skin tint, clean brown liner, minimal lashes, rosy cheeks and lips, and hair to the gods” from Jenny Bowker and the talented team at The Wildeflower Co.
The groom’s tuxedo, custom-made by Indochino, was designed with timeless elegance in mind. A deeply personal touch was the inside lining, featuring a silk snake-patterned fabric and a sweet message from Harrison: “Lover Boy,” along with their wedding date. To complete the look, he wore his late grandfather’s pearl and gold cufflinks.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in a magical “nook” in the woods on the Harrison’s father’s property, a spot he created just for them. He worked tirelessly, clearing trees, building benches, and even crafting stone steps to make the space perfect. Guests walked down the natural trail to handmade benches, leaving only the bride, groom, and officiant—her little brother—at the altar. Despite the morning rain and cold, the weather cleared just in time for the ceremony, adding to the moody, fairytale atmosphere she had envisioned.
"What mattered most was creating a ceremony that felt authentically us. Seeing our family and friends notice and appreciate those small, meaningful details is something I’ll carry with me forever.”

Planning Process
The planning journey was a learn-as-you-go experience. With Kevin’s baseball career keeping him on the road for much of the year, the couple knew they needed plenty of time to enjoy the process. “Kev was my voice of reason and a calming presence when I needed it most,” Harrison reflected. Planners at Kayloe Bridal helped turn her dream into a reality, focusing on the intimate details that made the day feel uniquely theirs.
After struggling to find the perfect venue, the bride’s father offered his five-acre backyard, setting the stage for a truly personal celebration. Its natural beauty became the foundation for an intimate, woodsy wedding with a color palette inspired by the trees and seasonal shifts.
Reception Decor & Dinner
The reception decor brought the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest indoors, blending rustic elements with romantic touches. Limelight hydrangeas, a favorite of the bride’s late grandmother, added a sentimental touch, filling the space with both beauty and nostalgia. “Their scent instantly brought me back to summers at her house,” Harrison shared. The entire space reflected their love for nature and nostalgia, making it feel like a perfect blend of the past and present.
As the evening unfolded, the celebration began with a lively dance party with everyone on their feet. The highlight of the reception was a stunning champagne tower, which added a touch of glamour to the festivities. Guests toasted with joy, surrounded by laughter and love as the couple soaked in the warmth of their family and friends.
“It felt like a perfect blend of celebration and intimacy,” Harrison reflected, as their vision for a heartfelt, unforgettable celebration came to life. The planners ensured that the evening flowed effortlessly, allowing the couple to enjoy the magic of the moment.
Advice from the couple:
• Keep it as intimate as possible. Only invite the people you truly want or need there—no more. While this might ruffle a few feathers, trust us, it’s worth it, if for anything the brides sanity and by extension the grooms! Your wedding day should be about celebrating your love, focus on what truly matters to you as a couple, and let that guide your decisions—not outside opinions or expectations.
