Location: Florence, Italy
Style: Dolce Vita, simplicity and elegance
Number of guests: 60
The time of planning: Almost 2 years
Setting: Estate
Season: Summer

Valentine and Vincent’s story began on Valentine’s Day in 2015. Nearly a decade later, Vincent proposed during a surprise trip to Marrakech—complete with a hot air balloon ride, massage, and romantic dinner. As the sun set over the Atlas Mountains, he asked her to marry him.

Italy has always held a special place in their hearts. It’s their go-to destination, a place they return to multiple times a year for its charm, food, and romance. So when it came time to say “I do,” Florence felt like the only answer—a city that matched their love for beauty, history, and unforgettable experiences.

Bride's Morning & Fashion

Valentine’s wedding morning was full of laughter, love, and champagne, shared with her bridesmaids in an effortlessly joyful atmosphere. For the ceremony, she chose a romantic Anna Kara gown—an ethereal mix of delicate tulle and embroidery paired with a flowing veil.

Her look came together with understated elegance—Kimai earrings and a matching pendant, a spritz of ByRedo’s “Mumbai Noise” for a signature scent, and soft, natural glam by Madeline Baucia, who styled her hair into a sleek, low bun. Her bouquet, a vibrant arrangement by Été Indien, added the perfect final touch.

Groom's Fashion

Vincent opted for a refined, tailored look with a suit from Jean Manuel Moreau in Paris with classic Edward Green shoes. His accessories—Viola Milano tie, pocket square, and socks—were thoughtfully chosen to complement the palette, while a boutonniere by Été Indien added a soft, romantic touch. He finished the look with a custom-made rose gold wedding band that felt both modern and deeply personal.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the breathtaking Borgo Stomennano estate, bathed in golden Tuscan sunlight and framed by arches overflowing with flowers. It was intimate and deeply personal, perfectly led by Valentine’s twin sister, Lucie, and Vincent’s best friend, Guillaume, who acted as heartfelt hosts. Every detail reflected the couple’s vision of love, family, and celebration.

One of the most unforgettable moments was when Valentine and Vincent walked into the ceremony with their parents, arm in arm, to the sound of Pavarotti’s “Caruso.” “Seeing the emotion in Vincent’s eyes and the faces of all our loved ones was something I’ll never forget,” Valentine said. The exchange of vows brought another wave of genuine emotions.

What made the ceremony truly unique was the beautiful blend of laughter and tears. Friends and family took turns sharing stories, jokes, and heartfelt words, creating a rhythm of surprise and sincerity throughout.

Cocktail Hour

After the emotional ceremony beneath the floral arches, guests moved to the front gardens of Borgo Stomennano for a lively and sun-soaked cocktail hour. The atmosphere was chic—the garden buzzed with the sounds of a strolling Italian band and the clink of spritz glasses.

A spritz bar served up classic Aperol, Campari, and custom mixes, while an elegant spread of antipasti offered a taste of Italy—prosciutto, fresh cheeses, marinated vegetables, and more. It was the perfect blend of relaxed and celebratory, setting the tone for the evening ahead while giving guests a moment to enjoy the scenery, music, and magic of the day.

Photo & Video

The team at Pinewood Weddings beautifully captured every moment of the day, preserving Valentine and Vincent’s love story in both film and digital. Their signature blend of refined narrative and editorial storytelling highlighted not only the connection between the couple and their guests but also the charm of the Borgo Stomennano estate.

From spontaneous laughter to tender, stolen glances, every frame felt effortlessly authentic. The golden hour portraits, taken just before dinner, were especially breathtaking—drenched in soft Tuscan light, they captured the vibe of the day: warm, dreamy, and full of heart.

Planning & Decor

Most of their inspiration came from Instagram and Pinterest, which they shared with their florist Charline from Été Indien early on. She styled the pre- and post-wedding celebrations, creating a cohesive and beautiful atmosphere throughout the weekend. Her thoughtful advice and expert eye helped shape every detail—especially the outdoor reception setup, which looked straight out of a dream.

Reception

For the reception, Valentine switched into her second look of the day—a stunning bustier corset gown with a thigh-high slit by Milla Nova. She paired the dress with sleek pointed-toe pumps from MID/MAY, featuring a delicate strap that added just the right amount of edge to the romantic silhouette. It was the perfect transformation for a night of celebration under the stars.

The wedding and reception were especially meaningful for the couple, with all their loved ones making the journey from France to celebrate four unforgettable days together. The dinner unfolded under a star-filled Tuscan sky, accompanied by live music from the incredible Mix and Soul, which set the perfect mood. It was a true Italian feast, catered by Kitchen Wishes — starting with pasta served directly on Parmesan-laced plates, followed by tender beef in sauce, and finishing with a classic tiramisu.

Adding to the magic, guests danced between each course, keeping the energy high and the joy flowing all night long. The entire celebration was curated by Elisabetta from EBC Event, whose attention to detail made everything feel effortless and unforgettable. The night ended on a sparkling note with a champagne tower as guests raised their glasses alongside the newlyweds—an iconic finale to a truly magical evening.

Advice from the couple:

The most complex part was the coordination; the secret is to have the time to plan everything and, above all, to have vendors you can count on!
