Captured in breathtaking detail by Natalie Hamilton Photography, the wedding is destined to leave you in awe.

Brooke and Michael Mullarkey’s love story began aboard a Mediterranean superyacht, where their shared passion for adventure sparked an instant connection. Their journey led to a dreamy proposal on Waiheke Island, New Zealand, where Michael’s nerves turned into a series of little mishaps, from breaking the ring box to losing the ring in a rose. Nevertheless, the moment was pure magic. As Brooke stepped onto a balcony, overlooking the ocean, Michael dropped to one knee. With tears of joy, she said yes. The next day, a surprise helicopter tour over her hometown made their engagement truly unforgettable.

Wedding Wishes

The couple envisioned an elegant celebration, blending clean lines with a touch of luxury. Inspired by a classic palette of white, accented with black and gold, their celebration in Bali mirrored Gatsby’s grand parties and Bridgerton’s romance. With the skilful oversight of their planner Jade from Matthew Oliver Weddings Brooke and Michael created a sophisticated yet personal celebration, where white roses, a cherished symbol from Brooke’s childhood, took center stage in the floral design.

Welcome Party

The couple kicked off their unforgettable three-day wedding with a relaxed poolside gathering, soaking up the golden sunlight and sipping cocktails alongside their closest friends and family. Set against the stunning backdrop of the coastline, the resort provided breathtaking views that added to the magic of the celebration.

"Consider hosting a welcome event like we did — it gave us more time to enjoy the wedding day without feeling the pressure to make rounds to every guest."

The festivities began with an intimate welcome party, where minimalist yet vibrant floral arrangements and twinkling fairy lights draped over palm trees created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Guests enjoyed a laid-back evening with a bao bun station and embraced the relaxed energy that set the perfect tone for the days to come.

Wedding Day

Bride's Fashion

The bride opted for a stunning off-the-shoulder gown by Milla Nova from Goldies Bridal, featuring delicate floral detailing. The structured bodice and draped sleeves added the desired romantic touch, while her sheer, embroidered veil by Poirier completed the ethereal look. The bride’s hair was styled in a soft up-do, perfectly complementing her natural, warm-toned makeup by Dollface Darlings.

Brooke completed her bridal look with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels, while her delicate jewelry provided the perfect hint of luxury. Among them, a Roberto Coin diamond bracelet held special sentimental value, as it was a cherished gift from Michael. The bride also carried a breathtaking cascading bouquet of white orchids, roses, and anthuriums. The arrangement, created by Sareta Studio, had a soft, flowing structure echoing the grace of the bridal gown.

Groom's Look

Michael wore a tailored beige linen suit by Moss Brothers that perfectly complemented the relaxed elegance of the destination wedding. A dark green pocket square by Victory & Innsbruck provided a subtle contrast, while a single white boutonnière of lisianthus flowers completed his polished look. His Loake leather loafers and sophisticated accessories, including a classic Rolex watch, and sleek cufflinks, reflected the luxurious aesthetic of the wedding.

First Look

Set against a picturesque tropical backdrop, Brooke and Michael’s first look was nothing short of magical. As Michael stood at the end of a sunlit pathway lined with towering palms, Brooke approached slowly, the long flowery veil cascading behind her.

The moment the groom turned around, their eyes met with pure admiration. Natalie Hamilton Photography perfectly captured the heartfelt essence of this moment with the stunning visuals, full of happy anticipation. Throughout the wedding day, the photographer beautifully captured the raw emotions of the couple, and their loved ones. From the intimacy of the ceremony to the dazzling firework-lit celebration, every moment was woven into a captivating visual story.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place at the Ungasan Clifftop Resort, here the picturesque ocean views provided a breathtaking backdrop for the occasion. The aisle was lined with delicate white flower arrangements, creating a dreamy pathway. Transparent chairs added a contemporary feel, allowing the natural beauty of the venue to shine. The altar was adorned with flowing fabrics, framed by a stunning floral arch of white blooms and textured greenery.

"As I walked down the aisle, I was overcome with emotion — not just because Michael was waiting at the altar, but because everything looked so breathtakingly beautiful, like something straight out of Bridgerton."

As the couple exchanged handwritten vows beneath the open sky, the serene setting enhanced the magic of the moment, making it truly unforgettable. The audience could not hold their happy tears, as they admired the couple at the altar.

As the ceremony came to a close, the couple walked hand in hand down the aisle, surrounded by a shower of delicate floral petals. We were overwhelmed with joy, and everyone was in awe of the setup, expressing how happy they were to share this moment with us. I’ve always loved the princess-style look, and having worked with florals in my job, I wanted to share this passion with our friends and family,” the bride recalls.

Cocktail Hour

Brooke and Michael chose to extend their cocktail hour to 90 minutes instead of the traditional 60. This decision gave them some time to unwind, have a refreshing drink, and fully embrace the moment before heading into photos and the evening’s festivities.

Surrounded by live music, and breathtaking scenery, guests sipped on handcrafted cocktails, chatting and sharing heartfelt congratulations with the newlyweds. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and excitement for evening to come.

Reception Decor

A chic reception display invited guests to “Take a shot, take a seat,” featuring neatly arranged bottles framed by delicate white florals. The beautiful tablescape by Semeja included crisp white linens, gold flatware, and rows of white roses, creating a refined and inviting atmosphere. Luxurious chandeliers above the tables casted a warm, romantic glow, making the entire setting feel intimate.

The white napkins were elegantly designed, featuring a minimalistic monogram of the couple’s initials, adding a personal touch to each place setting. The reception space included a dance floor with a white platform framed by floral arrangements. Set beneath the glowing evening sky, the setting looked absolutely magical, creating a perfect ambience for the dinner.

Reception

The couple was greeted with cheers and applause as guests joyfully waved their napkins in the air. Brooke and Michael took their seats at a beautifully set table, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Together, they enjoyed a thoughtfully curated multi-course meal, elegantly presented on a menu designed by Emily and Jo.

Brooke and Michael curated a playlist of timeless classics with modern remixes, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere for the celebration. A full band and singer set the tone for the night, while a saxophonist added a unique touch by performing his own DJ set. For their first dance, the couple chose ODESZA’s track ‘Something About You’ remixed by Hayden James. Brooke changed into a shorter party dress with the complementing veil by The Veil Atelier UK.

As the champagne tower overflowed, a surprise display of fireworks illuminated the sky in brilliant hues, casting a magical glow over the celebration. Brooke and Michael stood embraced, taking in the breathtaking moment as their guests cheered. This captivating scene was the perfect, vibrant finale to a day filled with love and unforgettable energy.

Beach Day

After a day filled with emotion and celebration, Brooke and Michael, along with their guests, enjoyed a relaxed brunch before heading to the VIP area of Sundays Beach Club. Surrounded by breathtaking ocean views, they had delicious food and signature cocktails, savoring the laid-back beachside atmosphere.

It was the perfect way to unwind and reflect after an eventful weekend. Brooke rocked a playful beach outfit with a short veil and sunglasses. Together with Michael she embraced their new exciting chapter as husband and wife.

"Don't be afraid to think outside the box and bring your vision to life, even if others have doubts. Everything comes together beautifully on the day."
