Number of guests: 50
Setting: Ceremony – On a ferry around Sydney Harbour, dinner – at the restaurant

Taylor and Remi’s love story began after Taylor moved from Sydney to Los Angeles, where they were introduced by a mutual friend. Now, two years later, they live in LA with their two beloved cats, Penny and Georgie, and continue to share their passion for traveling, exploring new restaurants, and cooking together.
Having lived in Remi’s hometown of Santa Monica for five years, it made the wedding all the more special for Taylor to bring her friends to her hometown, Sydney, for the celebration. Their photographer, Damien Milan, captured every moment beautifully, using both digital and film cameras to create timeless memories. His photos perfectly reflected the day’s atmosphere, from the romantic boat cruise and touching ceremony to the time spent together as newlyweds and the cozy, heartfelt dinner filled with warm wishes from loved ones. The result was a collection of images that truly captured the essence of their special day and the love they share.
Bridal Morning & First Look
Taylor’s wedding morning was filled with joy and excitement as she prepared with her closest friends and family. Her makeup was kept natural and glowing, complementing her sleek updo, which was styled perfectly to match the elegance of the day.
Her journey to find the perfect dress was a memorable one. While in Portland, Oregon, with her mother, she discovered her dream gown at Brides for a Cause, a nonprofit that resells wedding dresses to support charity. It was a fun experience—sorting through hundreds of designer dresses in a cozy, fitting room environment with her mom by her side. Taylor chose a timeless, form-fitting gown with a long, elegant train and a matching veil, and to her delight, it didn’t require a single alteration.
Taylor and Remi’s first look was a truly intimate moment, filled with quiet excitement and pure emotion. This private moment allowed them to pause, take a breath, and embrace the joy of their wedding day before the celebration began.
Sydney
Just before the ceremony, the couple took a quiet moment to be together. With the stunning Sydney skyline as their backdrop, it was a peaceful and intimate pause before the ceremony. Photographer Damien Milan beautifully captured the love and emotion of this moment, preserving the connection they shared against the breathtaking view.
Our photographer, Damien, perfectly captured our day and all the little moments throughout. We loved his suggestions on when and where to capture locations (since we truly wouldn’t have known otherwise!)

Boat Ceremony & Cruise
For the ceremony, the couple imagined something unique, where guests could mingle and enjoy the stunning surroundings before the formal sit-down dinner. A two-hour cruise on Sydney Harbour was the perfect choice. It gave their loved ones, many of whom traveled from afar, the opportunity to experience some of the city’s most iconic sights. Boarding near the Opera House, the guests had the chance to enjoy breathtaking views of the Botanical Gardens and the Harbour Bridge. The cruise allowed everyone to savor the moment and the city’s charm before the ceremony and the celebration.
The ceremony was truly special—a casual and intimate reflection of the couple’s personality. With handwritten vows and plenty of laughs and a few tears, it was the perfect way for them to express their love. Taylor and Remi’s celebrant, Bec Page, made them feel instantly at ease, as though they had known her for years, despite only meeting in person at the ceremony. She took the time to truly understand them as a couple, making the ceremony deeply personal and filled with moments of laughter. They never pictured a formal event, so the laid-back atmosphere felt just right. Guests greeted the couple before boarding the boat, which helped ease any wedding-day nerves.
Taylor and Remi decided not to have a traditional dance floor and after-party in favor of something more personal and engaging. With so many guests traveling from different places, they wanted to include moments where everyone could stand up, mingle, and truly connect. After the ceremony, they chose a two-hour cruise on the harbor, offering their guests a chance to relax, enjoy the stunning views, and spend quality time getting to know one another. It was the perfect way to celebrate—intimate, laid-back, and filled with moments of connection.
The newlyweds chose Duan and Only to perform live during their 2-hour cruise, playing their favorite songs and creating the perfect atmosphere. With his smooth vocals and guitar, Duan set the tone for the entire day, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to an already unforgettable celebration.
Cocktail Hour
The cocktail hour took place in the beautiful gardens in front of Chiswick, where guests could relax and enjoy some time outside before dinner. The setting was perfectly complemented by cocktails and fun lawn games, creating an inviting and laid-back atmosphere.
Just before dinner, Taylor made a stylish change into her reception dress—a playful and memorable gown featuring delicate tulle detailing on the shoulders. The design felt truly her, something unique and perfect for her wedding day. Remi chose to elevate the evening with a timeless and classic black tux.
Reception Dinner
Taylor and Remi had one main priority for the reception—great food and wine. The venue’s lush gardens and charming farm-style interiors meant the couple could keep their styling minimal, relieving some of the pressure of planning a wedding from across the globe. Surrounded by their loved ones, they celebrated the evening in a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, making it a night filled with love, laughter, and perfect moments.
We only had 50 guests, and it was so nice to look around the room and see everyone who was special to us. It also meant we had the opportunity to spend time with every single guest on our day.

Advice from the couple:
• Don’t sweat the small stuff – we didn’t have a wedding planner and knew that on the day, there were chances that things may not go to plan, but that was ok! At the end of the day, you’re going to be surrounded by your family and friends, and you’re marrying your best friend. We only wish we could relive it again!
