In Poland’s countryside, just outside Warsaw, Yuliia and Yaroslav hosted a wedding that felt like a story told in two chapters. The ceremony took place at Pałac Mała Wieś, a neoclassical estate often called “the Versailles of Mazovia.” Its symmetry and serene gardens set the tone for a classic day, where architecture framed emotion. By evening, the atmosphere shifted to a celebration that grew freer, louder, and beautifully alive. Together with planner Julia Solodchenko of JS Weddings Events, the couple built a vision of a modern classic that let the venue’s geometry do the storytelling.
Location: Warsaw, Poland
Style: Classic, Elegant, Undestated
Time of planning: 1 year
Number of guests: 80
Setting: Palace
Season: Spring
Yuliia and Yaroslav’s story began in the simplest way: as next-door neighbors. She was twelve, he was seventeen. He taught her how to ride his bike, they fed his dog together, and to Yuliia, he seemed like an unattainable ideal. Years went by, and what started as a childhood friendship quietly grew into love. The same boy from her childhood became the man she would build her life with.
The proposal was as cinematic as their story deserved. In Paris, Yaroslav suggested a “shopping day,” something completely uncharacteristic for him. That evening, beneath the Eiffel Tower, surrounded by candles, flowers, and a glowing Marry Me sign, he knelt on one knee. Through tears, she said yes.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
The morning began quietly, with every detail already in place. On a woven chair by the window lay Juliia’s calla bouquet, satin Jimmy Choo heels, and the Cartier jewelry box that held her engagement ring.
Her “maid of honor” for the day was her adorable puppy, sitting beside her on the bed and curiously watching every move. That sweet, unplanned companion brought a soft contrast to the refined setting as a small reminder that even the most elegant mornings can have a touch of playfulness.
The morning look was a balance of drama and femininity. Instead of classic loungewear, Yuliia chose a full-glam ensemble: a feather-trimmed robe with a deep neckline and, beneath it, a sheer crystal-embellished bodysuit that caught the light like dew.
Then came the transformation. Her gown by Milla Nova echoed the form of a calla lily: structured, architectural, and weightless in motion. Designed as part of the Grace in Motion collection, it embodied the brand’s signature sculptural minimalism. The calla motif appeared again in her bouquet and ceremony florals, tying her look to the day’s design language.
Groom’s Fashion
In another room of the palace, Yaroslav was getting ready with quiet composure. His look was a refined take on classic black-tie. The tailored suit emphasized clean lines and perfect proportions, echoing the architectural order of the venue itself. Crisp white shirt, black bow tie, and polished leather shoes, nothing unnecessary, just timeless precision.
Moments Together
The couple envisioned a modern classic wedding, elegance without excess, tradition with a contemporary soul. The idea was to highlight the venue’s geometry rather than overwhelm it. The concept revolved around a palette that mirrored nature and symbolized renewal. Green as the new neutral.
Originally, ceremonies here were held in the palace’s round courtyard. But planner Julia Solodchenko proposed a daring shift: moving it to the expansive lawn before the facade. This made Yuliia and Yaroslav’s wedding the first ever held in that field, aligning the altar perfectly with the palace axis.
A white aisle cut through the garden’s symmetry, leading to a grand floral arch that seemed to float in air. Fiori Company created a design built entirely on light and volume with thousands of white blooms interwoven with green textures and delicate structural feathers.
The palette was restrained yet alive: ivory, soft green, and gold from the afternoon sun. Every angle reflected the harmony between design and emotion, the calm geometry of the palace meeting the warmth of a spring day.
When Yuliia walked down the aisle, the air was still except for the quiet music and the sound of guests holding their breath. Their vows were deeply personal: honest, emotional, and full of shared history. As they kissed, a soft cloud of white smoke rose behind them, dissolving into the light. It felt like love expanding into the air.
Reception & Decor
The reception took place inside the palace’s grand hall. The space transformed into a green architectural dream. Fiori Company designed the decor as a living installation: sculptural greenery, anthuriams, hydrangeas, and decorative cabbages built into layered compositions.
Each table felt like a miniature garden, with depth created through texture rather than color. The contrast of black tableware and crystal glass added a refined edge, while candlelight drew golden reflections across the mirrored surfaces.
As the sun set, Yuliia changed into her second look, a white mini dress that instantly shifted the tone of the evening. The silhouette was bold yet playful, echoing the energy of a night that belonged more to emotion than to etiquette. Her hair, previously loose, was gathered into a sleek ponytail, adding a sharp, modern edge to her new look.
Then came the cake, the cutest white creation by Elite Cake Studio, accented with glossy cocktail cherries. Under a canopy of flowers, the couple cut the first slice together. The simple design mirrored the aesthetic of the entire day: modern, pure, and intentional.
Music carried the night forward. The live band Bodro Artists opened the evening with soulful covers, filling the ballroom with rhythm and movement. Later, a surprise performance by Quest Pistols Show electrified the crowd, the lights dimmed, the tempo rose, and guests flooded the dance floor.
By midnight, the celebration had reached its crescendo. Outside, fireworks illuminated the palace, synchronized with music in a pyromusical finale. The garden glowed under bursts of gold and white, as if the architecture itself joined in the celebration. It was the perfect closing scene: Yuliia and Yaroslav standing together beneath the sparks, surrounded by their closest friends, the night echoing with laughter.
