Maryana and Francisco’s wedding unfolded over two unforgettable days on the shores of Lake Como, blending elegant minimalism with authentic Italian experiences. From a tenor performance during dinner to a showcooking-style cake-cutting moment, every detail was curated with care and emotion, transforming their celebration into something truly personal and cinematic.
Location: Lake Como, Italy
Style: Elegant, romantic, minimalist
Time of planning: 15 months
Number of guests: 74
Setting: Villa
Season: Summer
Maryana and Francisco first met at a concert festival in Goiânia, but their romance didn’t begin right away. “I decided to do something charming,” Maryana said, and it wasn’t until nine months later that they got together. When love finally blossomed, it moved quickly. Francisco planned a thoughtful proposal during a trip through Italy, surprising Maryana at the stunning Lago di Braies while they were filming a video. He got down on one knee, and for Maryana, it felt like time stood still—“one of the most beautiful days of my life.”
Welcome day
The celebrations began with a sun-soaked welcome boat day on Lake Como, where Maryana and Francisco gathered their closest friends and family for an unforgettable cruise. The backdrop was pure Italian charm—colorful hillside villas, green facades draped in ivy, and centuries-old stone bridges lining the lake’s edge. Guests sipped drinks, laughed under the summer sun, and soaked in the views of Bellagio and Villa del Balbianello, setting the tone for the days to follow.
Maryana wore a chic white mini dress with sculptural draping and a soft train, paired with white block heels and delicate jewelry. Her hair was tied back into a sleek ponytail, framing her radiant smile and oversized sunglasses. Francisco kept it classic in a white shirt and beige trousers.
Together with their planner Suellen Fernandes Weddings&Celebrations, they thoughtfully prepared welcome gifts for their guests, making everyone feel included and pampered from the very beginning.
Bridal Morning
Maryana’s morning began in an elegant suite filled with soft light, where she slowly got ready while taking in views of Lake Como through open windows. She wore a romantic white robe by La Rouge Belle, with lace-trimmed sleeves and a delicate satin belt. Her long hair was styled in relaxed, voluminous waves, adding softness to the atmosphere as she toasted with champagne and admired her dress hanging nearby. Her jewelry and engagement ring were placed carefully beside her bottle of Chanel Chance—capturing a calm, joyful start to the day.
For the ceremony, Maryana wore a breathtaking Berta dress with sheer long sleeves, high neckline, and intricate floral embroidery. The fitted silhouette and dramatic open back created a sophisticated contrast to the delicate tulle veil that cascaded behind her. “My dress was more beautiful than I dreamed!” she shared. She held a small bouquet of white peonies, matching the minimalist palette she had envisioned. Every detail, from her polished nails to the subtle makeup by Kamilla Almeida, felt considered and timeless.
Groom's Fashion
Francisco spent the morning writing his vows and reading a letter from Maryana before getting dressed for the ceremony. He wore a timeless black-tie look with a white tuxedo jacket, black trousers, and a sleek black silk scarf tucked into the lapel instead of a boutonnière. The choice added a refined, personal touch to his outfit, echoing the elegant atmosphere of Lake Como. Polished black shoes and a sharp silhouette completed his look—confident, composed, and ready for the moment ahead.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the garden of Villa Carlotta, with views of Lake Como stretching out behind a circular floral arch overflowing with soft white blooms. The floral team from Figli dei Fiori Como created an ethereal scene using peonies, roses, and hydrangeas, placed not only on the altar but also spilling low along the aisle. Chairs were arranged in clean lines on the gravel terrace, with the Italian and European flags waving gently overhead. Guests added a burst of color in elegant gowns, and white parasols were thoughtfully provided for comfort during the summer afternoon.
The ceremony itself was deeply emotional. Francisco walked in arm-in-arm with his mother, and Maryana’s entrance with her father brought tears and smiles throughout the crowd. A string trio played classical music as the couple exchanged personal vows beneath the floral arch. Francisco’s heartfelt words, written by hand that morning, set the tone for the intimate exchange.
After their kiss, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle to a joyful shower of flower petals, hand in hand. The couple shared how this was the most emotional part of the day for them—and with the soft music, the lake views, and the tender energy of the guests.
"The ceremony was marked by an intimate and emotional atmosphere, reflecting the affection and love that the couple has built over the years."

Private Moment
After the ceremony, Maryana and Francisco took a moment away from their guests to walk through the gardens and historic interiors of the villa. Surrounded by dramatic mountain views, colorful parterres, and centuries-old architecture, they looked completely immersed in each other. The grandeur of the frescoed walls and arched doors framed them like a painting, giving their portraits a classical, timeless quality.
"They were both radiant during these two days of the celebration."

Their quiet walk led them to a wooden speedboat waiting by the lake. As they pulled away, Maryana raised her bouquet into the breeze while Francisco kissed her, with the rippling water and hazy mountains behind them. The moment felt cinematic yet entirely their own. The photos give a sense of freedom and movement—a visual exhale after the emotion of the ceremony.
Decor & Setting
The dinner space was styled with minimalist elegance in mind, where crisp white linens and delicate glassware met the soft glow of candlelight. Long tables stretched beneath a canopy of modern black beams and glass walls, letting the evening light filter in naturally. Blue and white hydrangeas, along with wildflowers and petite roses, stood in loose, textural arrangements in clear bud vases, offering just enough color to gently echo the lake’s tones.
Tall glass candlesticks with slender tapers added height and rhythm to the tablescape, while each plate carried a delicate watercolor card tied with twine—personalized with the guest’s name and an illustration of the villa. “With a color palette defined by delicate white peonies and elegant blue hydrangeas, the space gained a clean, sophisticated and meaningful atmosphere,” said Suellen Fernandes.
"And as much as I dreamed of blue flowers, everything remained very classic, which was my desire. My biggest wish was to enhance the setting and minimalist decor–I had already drawn the decoration in my head a long time ago!"

Reception
The reception started with their first dance beneath the soft glow of chandeliers, with guests encircling the couple as they moved through the center of the room. The setting was elegant, intimate, and emotional—framed in timeless black and white photographs.
During the dinner, guests gathered at long white tables lit by candlelight. Toasts followed, and the evening became more animated with glasses clinking and laughter echoing through the glass-walled space. As music played, the bride walked confidently through the crowd and raised her bouquet into the air—gathering the girls before tossing it behind her as a lovely tradition.
Later that night, the couple stepped outside to prepare their wedding cake alongside the chef—a traditional Italian millefoglie, filled with cream and topped with fresh berries. Laughing together as they spread layers and added strawberries, they turned the moment into a shared experience, not just a presentation. Afterward, they moved to the champagne tower, pouring together into the top glasses as guests cheered around them. It was a fun, spontaneous highlight of the night—captured in motion, joy, and golden bubbles.
"We were impacted by the affection they showed me and my team, thanking us during their speeches for all our work in making their dream come true. We will never forget this gratitude and recognition.”
