Gary, a proud native of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, Canada, and a versatile professional with titles like “Life Engineer,” CEO, and Co-Founder of Zero dB, the world’s first noise-canceling beverage, had always been a man on a mission. His passion lay in helping people engineer a life of evolved health and wellness.

Keysi, on the other hand, hailed from the vibrant city of Caracas, Venezuela. She was a mechanical engineer and held the prestigious title of Miss Universe Venezuela in 2016, making it to the top 5 in Miss Universe 2017. Beyond her academic and pageant accomplishments, Keysi served as a runway coach for aspiring models and became an Instagram brand ambassador, captivating audiences with her charm.

Their story began in the most unexpected way. Initially introduced at a lively party by mutual friends, Gary and Keysi found themselves in the same room but not yet in the same world. It took a year for destiny to weave its magic, and they finally connected. To their astonishment, they discovered a shared educational background in mechanical engineering and an uncannily similar sense of humor.

Shortly after they met, their friends organized a motorcycle ride, pairing Gary and Keysi. That ride turned into a whirlwind of joy and connection, a theme that would persist throughout their relationship. Gary added the sweetest member to their growing family to make their bond even stronger: a little Morkie named Luna, whose boundless energy and love deepened their happiness.

Their story took another beautiful turn when, in the winter of 2022, Gary proposed to Keysi on a picturesque Christmas morning in Cape Breton. This proposal was another chapter in their beautiful story that they intended to continue writing together. They were determined to celebrate their love in many circumstances and embrace every emotion that life threw their way. As life would have it, they decided to formalize their partnership in an intimate civic ceremony in Toronto, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

Stationery, a silent yet compelling ambassador of our distinctive wedding style, bore the enchanting mark of Papeterie & Confetti. The choice was deliberate, for their artistic craft brought our dreams to life. More than just pieces of paper, the stationery was the first whispers of our love story, beautifully scripted in ink and adorned with elegance.

In the fusion of vintage and romantic themes, Keysi’s envisioned look came to life.

The bride’s chosen hairstyle, a cascade of well-defined curls, exuded vintage charm, evoking a timeless femininity. Every curl was a testament to a bygone era, a romantic symphony of waves that graced her shoulders. Chelsea Dawn skillful makeup highlighted her eyes, making them the focal point of my look. Subtle smoky tones and a touch of shimmer added depth and radiance.

When Keysi’s eyes first gazed upon the designs by Di Carlo Couture, it was as though the universe had conspired to create a moment of pure magic. The fusion of vintage and romantic aesthetics in the designs was an exact match for her envisioned look. During the elopement, she made three dress changes, each one more captivating than the last, radiating a timeless beauty that left everyone in awe.

Gary’s look, artfully curated by Suitablee, exuded classic elegance with a subtle touch of “James Bond” sophistication.

Their ever-adorable Luna, a furry star in her own right, added charm to the photoshoot. Luna’s presence infused a unique brand of happiness into the atmosphere, along with the occasional cheerful bark directed at passersby. As they paraded around, dressed up, it was impossible for the public not to be drawn into their celebration, with onlookers offering their heartfelt congratulations and sharing the joy of the moment.

The enchanting moments of the elopement were skillfully captured by the artistic eye of Kristina Bastien, a photographer who possesses a deep connection to the world’s beauty. Kristina’s passion for art and humanitarianism shaped her photography journey, enabling her to authentically document the intimate facets of life and seize beauty in every fleeting moment.

Kristina Bastien’s heart comes alive when she encounters two souls in perfect harmony, making wedding photography her true calling. Her work is often described as dreamlike, poetic, a play of darkness and light, culminating in an ethereal and airy portrayal of love and life’s beauty

The couple meticulously handpicked a collection of picturesque locations for their photoshoot, each brimming with distinctive charm and personal significance. Their odyssey through these enchanting settings commenced with the timeless Old Montreal Port. This historic port, built in 1830, is a testament to the city’s rich heritage and a treasure cherished by Canadians and tourists alike. Its history is a source of fascination and pride, making it a quintessential backdrop for their pre-wedding photoshoot.
The wedding photoshoot style was a tribute to “freedom in love.” Montreal’s picturesque streets and scenic outdoor venues, notably the historic old port, were the perfect canvas for this artistic endeavor. The couple desired to encapsulate a timeless and profoundly romantic ambiance reminiscent of the love stories that have graced the pages of history.

The enchanting atmosphere on Keysi and Gary’s special day resulted from a seamless collaboration between the skilled florists at Enfants Sauvages and the expert Art de la Table CM Planification.

The exquisitely arranged table adorned with beautiful blooms was a dream brought to life by Enfants Sauvages, whose impeccable taste in floral design elevated the ambiance. This elegant and timeless wedding style drew inspiration from vintage romance and French glamour, striking a perfect balance between classic and chic. The day was truly unforgettable, a testament to the dedication of these professionals in creating a day filled with love and sophistication.

The couple chose the Vogue Hotel Montreal, a venue renowned for its elegance and style, as the backdrop for their special day.

Advice from the couple:

In love and life, remember that you’re the author of your own story. We found immeasurable joy by doing things in a way that was true to us. Love has a unique language, and when you’re fluent, the joy you experience will be universal.
