Forever Began in Ibiza’s Paradise

Ibiza — the word itself evoked images of sun-soaked shores, lush greenery, and vibrant celebrations. For Frankie and Sam, this idyllic Mediterranean island was much more than just a picturesque location; it had been a cherished part of their love story. Their celebration, beautifully captured by the talented photographer Bianca Sardi, took place at the stunning Can Rafal villa. Oversized white bows, delicate parasols, flowing champagne, and endless smiles made the day truly unforgettable.

Location: Ibiza, Spain
Style: Chic, elegant, timeless
Time of planning: 2 years
Number of guests: 78
Setting: Villa
Season: Summer

Frankie’s love for Ibiza began in childhood, with family vacations spent snorkeling in crystal-clear waters and enjoying endless plates of paella. For Sam, the connection came later; after his childhood trips to mainland Spain, he fell for Ibiza’s charm in his twenties. Their shared passion for the island became a cornerstone of their relationship, from first-date chats to annual getaways. When Sam proposed, he made sure it was unforgettable. With help from Frankie’s sister, he turned an ordinary evening at Pikes Hotel into pure magic, complete with flowers, champagne, and the ultimate question: “Will you marry me?”

“We had the most insane dinner and partied till 6 a.m. the next morning before catching a flight home early afternoon the next day — a day and night trip fully worth the next day’s struggle!” recalled the bride.

Bridal Morning

After trying on 42 dresses, Frankie found her perfect match: a stunning gown by Chosen by Kyha. Its structured corset and detachable A-line skirt provided versatility and sophistication, transitioning seamlessly into her bespoke Ibiza-inspired short-skirt party look by Annie’s. Her veil, embroidered with the sweet phrase “Love You Moore,” added a personal and sentimental touch. Frankie carried a lush bouquet of white hydrangeas and calla lilies with vintage-style ribbon for a delicate touch. It was crafted by Marbin Flowers and perfectly complements her chic style.

For the reception, Frankie transformed into a striking second look — a playful mini dress paired with elegant lace gloves and a sleek, high ponytail. This bold yet refined outfit allowed her to dance the night away while maintaining her timeless elegance. She completed her ensemble with white Prada heels, drop pearl earrings by Orelia, and a delicate forest-inspired fragrance by Roemy. Her glowy, peach-toned makeup was done by Róisín O’Neill, and her timeless slick-back bun perfectly tied her bridal transformation.

"I created a wedding magazine for each guest to enjoy and read throughout the wedding. The magazine included photos from our engagement, details of the wedding day, photos from our times on the island since we were both young and a page about our amazing bridal party! The end of the magazine also honored my late dad, who passed away when I was 11 and loved the island as much as we do now."

Groom's Fashion

Sam’s wedding-day attire was equally striking. He wore a double-breasted linen-cotton suit in a buttery cream shade by Suit Supply, perfectly complementing the villa’s sunlit setting. Paired with a pocket square and boutonnières matching the floral arrangements, his look was relaxed yet refined — a perfect fit for Ibiza’s laid-back elegance. The groomsmen coordinated effortlessly in linen suits, creating a cohesive yet distinctive bridal party aesthetic.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place in front of the breathtaking Can Rafal villa, with its elegant draped balcony and lush greenery providing a picture-perfect setting. A stunning floral arch by Marbin Flowers framed the couple, featuring an arrangement of white roses, hydrangeas, and delicate greenery, creating an atmosphere of timeless elegance. The aisle was adorned with soft petals and ribbon-tied chairs, adding a romantic touch to the intimate space.

Frankie and Sam chose not to see each other before the ceremony, making their first look as Frankie walked down the aisle truly magical. Johnny Hocking’s piano rendition of “Sweet Disposition,” a song deeply meaningful to the couple, set the perfect tone for this heartfelt moment.

The ceremony, officiated by Sunny Ramzan, a dear friend of Sam’s, was deeply personal and woven with stories of their love and connection to Ibiza. Their heartfelt vows brought tears to the eyes of their guests, many of whom couldn’t hold back their emotions. The couple sealed their promises and exited to the joyous melody of “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer, leaving an indelible impression of love and happiness on everyone present.

Cocktail Hour

Guests were treated to a vibrant cocktail hour, serenaded by Ibiza classics on the piano. The aperitif featured a selection of exquisite canapés from The Chef Ibiza, including watermelon, feta skewers, and prawn aioli — a hit among guests. A spontaneous bouquet toss from the villa’s balcony added a playful and memorable moment, with Frankie’s sister catching the bouquet, much to everyone’s delight.

Private Moment

Amid the day’s festivities, Frankie and Sam found a quiet moment just for themselves. Strolling through the villa’s beautiful grounds during golden hour, they laughed, hugged, and soaked in the magic of the day. The photographer Bianca Sardi captured it all — effortless, warm, and full of life. The golden light, their shared smiles, and the serene beauty of the setting made every shot feel like a page out of a magazine. It was a chance for the couple to pause, breathe, and simply enjoy being together before rejoining the celebrations.

"Bianca Sardi was the first vendor we booked before I even secured our wedding venue! When you see a photographer whose vibe matches yours perfectly, there is no question! Bianca captured our vision for the wedding absolutely perfectly; her use of subtle color but also black and white to give a film photography touch was exactly what we wanted. Her ability to capture movements and moments is exquisite, and I loved her creativity for unique shots whilst feeling supernatural at the same time. We will treasure our wedding photographs forever."

Decor & Setting

The wedding’s aesthetic crafted by Hidden Treasures Ibiza seamlessly combined chic sophistication and Ibiza’s natural beauty. Inspired by the island’s sunsets, hidden gems, and vibrant heritage, Frankie meticulously planned every detail. Florals featured blue and lilac hydrangeas — a nod to Ibiza’s skies and the villa’s pool — paired with vintage-style ribbons for a delicate touch. Parasols added a whimsical charm, while candlelight and festoon lighting created an intimate atmosphere as day turned to night.

"I knew I wanted an outdoor wedding where we could all watch the sun go down and have dinner at candlelight. I wanted to surprise our guests with little touches throughout the wedding and have elements encompassing traditional Ibiza heritage."

Reception

The newlyweds made their entrance to “Thinking of You” by Sister Sledge, greeted by cheering guests waving napkins in celebration. Dinner started with heartfelt speeches from the mother of the bride and maid of honor, setting a warm and emotional tone. The meal featured a delicious spread of Spanish favorites, including bread with tomatoes, seafood paella, and other local delights. Signature cocktails like rosemary Aperol spritz, strawberry and kiwi margarita, and champagne mojito added a refreshing twist. “Everyone was officially stuffed! The setting was just perfect and more than what I could have imagined,” the bride shared.

The evening’s centerpiece was the champagne tower, complete with the soulful sounds of a saxophone player and a festive champagne spray courtesy of Sam. “Our first dance took place in the villa’s pool area to London Grammar’s ‘Baby It’s You.’ With no rehearsal, luckily it all went to plan,” recalled Frankie with a smile.

Jo Mills, the legendary Ibiza DJ, kept the energy high with a mix of disco, soul, and house tracks that had everyone dancing into the early hours. “You wouldn’t find any Robbie Williams or Whitney Houston at this wedding, just pure disco and Ibiza vibes,” added the couple.

The night ended on a high note — quite literally — with guests jumping into the villa’s pool at 2 a.m., a spontaneous and joyful conclusion to an unforgettable celebration.

Advice from the couple:

• Take a moment together at points of the day just to look at your wedding you created. It’s over in a flash, and you want to lock in memories that will stay with you for life.

• We also loved having a sweetheart table at dinner. It was a great time just to be the two of us and look out for all our guests having the best time. We would definitely recommend this.
