Laura and Nick’s love story began amidst the stunning slopes of Grand Targhee Resort. Fate brought them together during a ski trip with friends, and it didn’t take long for sparks to fly. From the moment they started dating, they couldn’t get enough of each other’s company, wanting to spend every waking moment together. Their dogs, Finn and Chief, became best buddies perhaps even quicker than they did! Whether in the mountains hiking, biking, or skiing or just enjoying a simple meal after a neighborhood dog walk, happiness is always their companion.
Laura and Nick were thrilled to host their wedding at one of their most cherished locations, McCall. Nestled within the breathtaking Salmon River Mountains of Idaho, McCall is a place that embodies the spirit of adventure and outdoor exploration. Their choice of venue, Shore Lodge, has been an iconic destination for those seeking adventure and relaxation since 1948. With its rich history and stunning scenic views, it provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.
Laura and Nick’s wedding style perfectly fused clean, elegant, modern, and natural elements. Their celebration radiated a timeless charm with a contemporary twist, harmonizing the natural beauty of the mountains and lake with a sleek, sophisticated aesthetic.

The bride’s wedding gown embodied the essence of simple elegance, seamlessly blending clean, modern lines with natural elements. The dress was a testament to her exquisite taste, showcasing a timeless beauty that perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of their wedding celebration.
The groom had a hilarious mishap when he realized he had forgotten his wedding shirt just two hours before the ceremony! The catch? He’s a 6’8″, and there were no stores in McCall with shirts his size. It was like a “Mission Impossible” episode trying to find a shirt that would fit him in time!
The breathtaking natural surroundings of the mountains and lake inspired the concept for Laura and Nick’s wedding. The couple wanted to harmonize with the stunning backdrop, so they chose a theme that embraced the location’s natural beauty. Their vision incorporated simple, whimsical flowers and natural elements to complement the serene environment.
To bring their vision to fruition, Laura and Nick enlisted the expertise of the renowned floral design company Rust + Thistlefloral. With their exceptional talent and creativity, they played a crucial role in making the wedding magical. They carefully selected and arranged the blooms, ensuring each floral arrangement was a work of art.
The wedding ceremony was a heartfelt and emotional, filled with tears of joy, laughter, and touching moments that beautifully marked the beginning of a new chapter in the couple’s lives.
The wedding was filled with special touches, including Laura and Nick’s creative idea of scanning and printing old photos of themselves with their guests for the seating chart. These photos included cherished memories from preschool and other favorite moments with their guests. What made it even more heartwarming was that the groom built the seating chart with his dad and assembled it with his mom. Seeing the guests peruse the photos was a delightful sight, and the memory chosen for the matron of honor was incorporated into her speech, adding a meaningful and personal touch to the celebration. The couple picked blues and greens as wedding colors to blend with pops of color in the florals.
The uniqueness of the wedding day was defined by the bride’s parents’ thoughtful gesture of picking huckleberries, a delicious berry that only grows wild in the northwest, for several weeks during the summer before the wedding. They used these huckleberries to make little jars of jam as favors for the guests, creating a personalized and memorable touch that everyone enjoyed, as huckleberries are beloved for their unique flavor.
At Laura and Nick’s wedding, the most unexpected and entertaining event unfolded when a mischievous kid staying at the resort pulled the fire alarm. Suddenly, the venue had to be evacuated, and guests poured onto the street, still holding their drinks. As if on cue, the fire department arrived, turning the situation into a unique photo opportunity. Amidst the flashing lights and laughter, this unforeseen twist became the highlight of the wedding. This hilarious and unforgettable moment they have added an extra layer of joy to their special day.
A couple kept their photographer’s choice a secret. The excitement buzzed through their guest list as they speculated about who would be entrusted with capturing their most precious moments. Little did they know that Jenny Losee was the elusive artist they had chosen. Jenny’s signature style was unmistakable. Her photographs exuded a sense of romance that was both tender and profound. Each shot conveyed the love between the couple, unadorned and pure. Her work was a testament to her mastery of the craft, and it left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to witness it.
