Carly and Brian’s love story began in 2016 when they coincidentally found themselves working in the same downtown Detroit building in Michigan. What started as cordial smiles and friendly waves from their respective offices soon evolved into something more when they shared an exciting experience at a Red Wings hockey game. Embarking on a journey together, they eventually decided to move to the bustling New York City to start their new life.
Their days are always brimming with joy, thanks to the wonderful company of their cherished friends and loving family and their shared love for various engaging activities that fill their lives with delightful moments.
And one day, on the patio of their West Village apartment, Brian got down on one knee and proposed to Carly. The couple’s siblings played a heartwarming role in the proposal, while the parents arrived shortly after to share in the joyous occasion.
For their wedding weekend, the lovebirds wanted the venue to blend Southern charm and the urban vibes of New York. Also, the couple’s great wish was to bring all of their worlds together, allowing their guests to relish in the numerous delights offered by the venue, from engaging in activities like tennis, pickleball, and poolside lounging to boating adventures and beyond. The idyllic setting of Montage Palmetto Bluff made it possible for guests to seamlessly move from one experience to another, whether on foot, bike, or golf cart, without ever having to venture beyond the stunning confines of the property.
The bride’s wedding vision revolved around achieving a sense of timeless, clean elegance. With a penchant for minimalism, she aimed for a look that exuded sophistication while remaining understated. Her hair was adorned with delicate pearl accessories, lending an ethereal touch to her overall appearance. A fresh and natural makeup style was chosen to accentuate Carly’s beauty flawlessly
Carly shared about the choice of her dream dress: “I purchased a beautiful Liz Martinez wedding dress, but as we got closer to the wedding, I couldn’t shake the feeling that the dress didn’t feel like me. Three weeks before the wedding, I purchased a pre-worn dress and couldn’t have been happier. (Grateful I had an incredible tailor on hand!)”
Brian’s anticipation grew as the time neared for him to see Carly in her breathtaking bridal gown. He made his entrance, resplendent in a tailor-made Christopher Korey Collective emerald suit, eager to share their special day’s joy.
As their eyes met, time appeared to stand still for the enamored couple. Their profound affection was palpable, evident in their eager anticipation as they prepared to exchange heartfelt vows during their momentous ceremony.
The guests eagerly anticipated the couple’s arrival and prepared to witness the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
Carly and Brian’s wedding ceremony was enchanting, enveloped in an atmosphere of wonder and delight. As the couple exchanged their vows, there was a sense of warmth and love, making the whole event feel intimate and inviting. Everyone present was filled with joy, which was evident through their shared smiles and affectionate glances.
One of the most cherished moments of the wedding ceremony for the couple was the signing of their Ketubah (a Jewish document) in the beautiful chapel. The couple felt a deep sense of significance as they combined their Jewish and Christian backgrounds in this special act. It symbolized the union of their diverse traditions, creating a beautiful and meaningful connection between their respective cultures.
The couple envisioned creating a unique wedding atmosphere that balanced chic, neutral, earthy, and moody elements with a touch of New York edge, all within a Southern venue. To bring this vision to life, they enlisted the expertise of the incredibly talented planners from Reagan Events. The couple’s expectations were not only met but exceeded, leaving them overjoyed.
The design concept was fresh and seamlessly integrated with the venue’s beautiful ruins. The team played with minimalist graphic design, layered monochromes, and texture combinations to create an ambiance reminiscent of a sleek NYC dinner. Structurally, handmade clay pots and concrete bars provided a strong foundation, while plush lounge groupings were placed for maximum comfort. Fresh blooms were artfully incorporated among these raw elements, adding an organic and soft touch to the space.
Carly and Brian radiated sheer bliss as they celebrated their love surrounded by cherished guests in a truly enchanting location. Their eyes gleamed with an unending love for each other. Clark Brewer skillfully immortalized every special moment of this exceptional wedding.
The reception exuded abundant joy and beauty as the couple and guests reveled in every moment. A highlight of the evening was the remarkable performance by the incomparable band Jesse’s Girl. During the cocktail hour, their captivating three-piece ensemble set the perfect ambiance before smoothly transitioning into an expanded band that kept the festivities alive for the remainder of the reception.
Their after-party unfolded in two distinct parts. The first part was held in an exclusive speakeasy-style wine cellar, concealed from their guests until they entered the mysterious mirror Murphy door. The second part featured cozy lounge seating by the inviting fire pits, where everyone indulged in the timeless pleasure of s’mores.
The hora, a traditional Jewish dance, transcended expectations and became the longest and most exhilarating dance experience the newlyweds have ever encountered.
The reception carried on with lively and exhilarating dance-filled moments. Thanks to Reagan Events, the wedding was transformed into an unforgettable affair, creating a dreamlike experience for the newlyweds and all the guests.
