Priscilla and Manuel’s wedding was more than a celebration—it was a true reflection of their style, story, and vision. Every detail felt intentional, from the lush florals to the cinematic atmosphere, creating a day that was both timeless and deeply personal. The talented Diego De Rando captured it all in a way that feels just as real and magical as the day itself.
Location: Miami, Florida, US
Style: Ethereal, enchanted, romantic
Time of planning: 1 year 1 month
Number of guests: 200
Setting: Modern Barn
Season: Winter
Priscilla and Manuel, Cuban-American and Miami-born, had crossed paths more times than they could count—from their days at FIU to mutual friends’ weddings—but the timing was never quite right. “Priscilla had to meet many frogs before realizing her prince was Manny.” When it finally felt meant to be, their matchmaker encouraged Priscilla to give love one more shot and told Manuel to reach out. One Instagram DM later, they found themselves talking for hours at Fiola—and just like that, something real began.
Their proposal was lifted straight from the screen, inspired by a romantic moment in the Spanish Netflix series Velvet. Manuel planned a heartfelt scene with that same cinematic magic that captured both their love story and the elegance of the show they adored.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
Priscilla’s wedding style was glam, goth, and unapologetically anti-bride. She stunned in a Kim Kassas gown, later switching into a Wiederhoeft reception skirt, Loeffler Randall heels, and layered accessories from Vivienne Westwood and Cult Gaia.
Her makeup, created by Lindsay Brooke, was pure couture magic—“Unique, avant-garde, and a little goth too,” with clean, sculpted skin and statement sparkly eyes that caught every bit of light thanks to Czech-Austrian crystals.
Priscilla dreamed up something deeply personal for her hair: a nod to Princess Leia and her christening hairstyle. “The final look was breathtaking and undoubtedly the best wedding hairstyle I’ve ever seen,” her stylist Brittney Wilmore shared. Priscilla carried a dramatic bouquet of deep red anthuriums and white ranunculus, with wild, flowing details that perfectly matched the vibe.
Groom's Morning & Fashion
Manuel’s look was a true reflection of his passion for fashion. Growing up in a family-run retail business, he knew he needed a one-of-a-kind outfit for a once-in-a-lifetime event. Inspired by a classic Ralph Lauren silhouette, he crafted a look that felt timeless yet uniquely his own. His tuxedo—custom-made by MDO in Loro Piana fabric—was worn with a formal shirt from Strenstroms and finished with a Dion Neckwear bow tie and vest in soft ivory, chosen to subtly complement the bride’s gown.
Ceremony
Priscilla and Manuel’s ceremony at the Church of The Little Flower was everything they dreamed of—classic, emotional, and meaningful. With their Catholic faith at the center, they knew they wanted something traditional but still exciting.
After saying, “I do,” they walked out of the church feeling “like actors walking off the set of a Hollywood movie”—completely surreal and unforgettable.
Reception Decor
Priscilla curated the entire wedding concept herself with the help of the planners at Sari Sosa Events, crafting a vision that felt deeply personal and incredibly intentional. As their florist at Volver Flowers beautifully put it: “You had a vision, and everyone you chose to be part of your dream understood your concept. I personally saw your soul and who you are, and I took off on that!” The inspiration behind the day was cinematic and unforgettable: “The Godfather meets the Victorian Era.”
The soft glow of over 500 candles, each tied with velvet ribbons in crystal holders, added another layer of magic. “Her idea of designing her centerpieces with mood moss and Spanish moss immediately evoked a sense of romance and timelessness,” the florist shared. A final touch of white taper candles, tied with satin moss-green bows, made the whole scene feel both subtle and unforgettable.
A Cake Like No Other
The wedding cake by Maria Amaria was anything but ordinary: Vanilla-Almond Sponge Cake with Salted Tahini Buttercream, Chocolate Ganache, Maldon Salt, and Brown Sugar Sesame Brittle—a true flavor experience that left everyone talking. Champagne toasts flowed with Veuve Clicquot, perfectly wrapping up a night that felt intimate, personal, and unforgettable.
Party
An open-format playlist kept the energy high and the dance floor packed all night, starting with their first dance to “Until I Found You” by Stephen Sanchez—a moment that felt straight out of a movie.
Signature cocktails brought a personal touch to the night: the Nuñez Negroni and the Martinez Margarita were crafted especially for the couple, blending classic flavors with their own twist.
Their guests couldn’t stop talking about this magical day, calling it “the wedding of the century” and saying it had “the best food and drinks ever.” People were “blown away by every detail” and told them it was “the most beautiful wedding” they had ever been to. It was the kind of day you don’t forget.
