In 2017, Ben and Lydia’s love story began at their workplace in Brooklyn, New York. They bonded over shared values, a love for music and the outdoors, and dreams of one day calling San Francisco home. A pandemic delayed their journey westward, but they now savor a slower-paced life, surrounded by nature and cherished by their dog, Delta, alongside a tight-knit community.

Their wedding beautifully blended tradition with personalization. It featured classic elements like a cocktail hour and dinner yet was filled with heartfelt touches that made it authentically “them.” Their love story, celebrated on that special day, remains a testament to the beauty of love and shared dreams.

The couple had one clear vision for their special day – a wedding with equal parts humor and heartfelt moments, exuding a fun and funky vibe.

Lydia’s bridal look was a vision of elegance and practicality. Her hair and makeup, artfully styled by the inimitable Katie Nash, were the finishing touches to her radiant bridal look.

She wore a stunning Lihi Hod dress, its detachable sleeves allowing her to transition seamlessly into the end-of-the-night dance party.

Lydia was resplendent in her wedding dress, exuding timeless beauty. Floral Luxe, the talented florist, crafted her bouquet as a true masterpiece, adorning a white Calla lily with an exquisite pearl, making it an artful and elegant accessory for her special day.

Ben’s attire added a playful and personal touch to the celebration. He looked dashing in a custom teal-blue suit from Knot Standard, which featured a whimsical paisley lining. Inside the suit’s interior pocket, a sweet surprise awaited – the stitched names “Pengy and Jammy,” the endearing nicknames they lovingly called each other.

Their fun-loving spirit was evident from the start, even during their first look. Laughter filled the air, but it did not diminish the significance of this incredibly intimate moment.

As you see, Lydia and Ben are a couple who know how to make each other laugh and keep the fun alive. During a weekend escape to a charming Tiny Home in Cobb, CA, Ben had a surprise that perfectly encapsulated their playful spirit.

One morning, as Ben took Delta for a walk, he dressed her in the tiny wedding gown and had her excitedly run to the front door of their Tiny Home. However, the twist in the tale was that Lydia still needed to put in her contacts that morning. When she saw Delta in the dress, her confusion was palpable, thinking the dog was inexplicably covered in napkins.

Once the misunderstanding was cleared up and the laughter had subsided, Lydia and Ben continued to relish their weekend. They enjoyed a tranquil escape filled with picturesque hikes, rejuvenating hot springs, and delectable home-cooked meals in their remote and cozy haven. Laughter and love, indeed, were the defining notes of their delightful getaway.

Chloe Alise Events, with their expert planning and design, transformed Ben and Lydia’s special day into a vibrant and vivid celebration. Their meticulous attention to detail, creative vision, and dedication turned the couple’s dreams into a breathtaking reality. Chloe Alise Events didn’t just do a job; they crafted an unforgettable experience that perfectly encapsulated the couple’s unique love story, ensuring every moment was as extraordinary as the love the couple shared.

Ben and Lydia chose The Pearls as their venue – a warehouse-style location in the Dogpatch area. With its industrial-chic indoor space and an outdoor rooftop, it perfectly matched their vision for a unique and stylish wedding.

Overall, the wedding theme and dress code was “Loud Chic”. The guests wore vibrant, fun outfits and ready to leave it all on the dance floor. The couple communicated the vision to guests on the wedding website with the following:

“What to wear – Easy answer? Cocktail. Real answer? Loud chic.

Confused? Fair. To explain, “loud chic” means our wedding is an opportunity to express yourself. We encourage you to wear bright and bold colors and offbeat patterns &/or use this as your chance to wear that thing you’ve always wanted to but have yet to have a reason to. Last but definitely not least, we want you to have fun, feel comfortable, and be ready to BOOGIE. If this dress code makes you sweat, please know it’s only meant to get you inspired and not at all required.”

Guests took the “Loud Chic” dress code seriously and created a beautiful spectacle of colors through their fabulous outfits. People really leaned into the experience with fun patterns out-there outfits, and one guest even dyed his hair blue for the occasion.

What set their special day apart was the incredibly personal and heartfelt wedding ceremony. Ben and Lydia’s love story was uniquely celebrated through a ceremony co-led by two significant figures in their lives: Liza, Ben’s sister, and Sam, their shared best friend. This decision brought the community even closer to the heart of their love story.

What made this ceremony exceptionally touching was the care and effort that Liza and Sam invested in crafting it. Before the big day, the officiants prepared a questionnaire for Ben and Lydia. This thoughtful step allowed them to understand the couple’s desires, dreams, and the essence of their relationship deeply.

With this intimate knowledge, Liza and Sam added layers of personal history, heartfelt humor, and their own unique style to the ceremony. The result was a deeply touching and truly one-of-a-kind experience that not only celebrated Ben and Lydia’s love but also reflected the warmth and love of their community. It was a ceremony that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all who attended, a testament to the power of personal connection and the beauty of a love story shared with those closest to your heart.

Photographer Melissa Habegger was pivotal in capturing the essence of Ben and Lydia’s special day. Her lens didn’t miss a single moment, ensuring that every smile, every laugh, and every heartwarming instance was beautifully preserved in her photographs. Through her work, the true spirit of the day, which was all about love and laughter, shines brightly.

Loud Chic was indeed the driving force behind every aspect of this wedding. The couple’s vision aimed to strike the perfect balance between “LOUD” (maximalism, creative expression, and boldness) and “CHIC” (elegance, wabi-sabi aesthetics, and contemporary style). To bring this vision to life, they curated a vision board that drew inspiration from their shared loves, such as concerts, music venues, Burning Man, and their creatively vibrant circle of friends.

Their meticulous planning led to a chosen color palette and a few must-have elements, including disco balls, a checkered dance floor, and a hanging floral display. The rest of the details naturally fell into place around these core ideas.

The creativity extended to even using AI to generate inspiration for the hanging floral design. When handed off to the talented Floral Luxe, the result exceeded all virtual expectations, blooming into a stunning reality, and Chloe Alise Events – the masterminds behind the entire concept, who flawlessly brought the Loud Chic vision to life.

The first dance was nothing short of remarkable, as Ben and Lydia took the floor for a choreographed performance set to the upbeat rhythm of “Groove Is In the Heart” by Dee-Lite. Quoting Dee-Lite:“We are going to dance! We’re going to dance and have some fun. Groove is in the heart-art-art-art”

The combination of the vibrant floral arrangements and the dazzling discoballs from GOT Light turned this wedding into an unforgettable funky party.

Even the cake from Cake Coquette was grooving that night! Just take a look at this vibrant masterpiece.

They craved a dance floor to ignite the night. Dancing held a profound place in their relationship and community, and they made one demand: that everyone stay on the dance floor all night long.

With the skilled guidance of Chloe Alise Events, their dream became a reality, and their wedding day was a whirlwind of laughter, love, and unforgettable dance moves that lasted long into the night.

Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham wed in a star-studded affair at her family’s oceanfront estate in Palm Beach.

The bride wore a Valentino Couture gown complete with a sprawling train and platform heels. Brooklyn’s little sister, Harper, served as a flower girl, whereas his brothers Romeo and Cruz acted as best men. The couple’s first dance was to the song “Only Fools Rush In,” performed by South African musician Lloyiso.
