Mia and Matt met online during the height of the Covid pandemic. Their first getaway to San Antonio was the beginning of a beautiful journey together. Three years later, they celebrated their love with a wedding and a baby on the way. Matt’s proposal in Bali was a storybook moment, despite the pouring rain and his ear infection. He surprised Mia with a romantic dinner by a waterfall, accompanied by live ‘gamelan’ music, making it a night to remember.
Built in the 18th century, Chateau de Champlâtreux is close to the heart of Paris. Its large reception rooms and vast decors make it the ideal location for Matt and Mia’s wedding. The landscape garden with cypress trees and a sweeping view bounded by trees, featuring an ornamental water pond in stone in the middle, added to the romantic setting.
The couple worked closely with their planner, Sofia Weddings & Events, through video calls to bring their dream wedding to life. Despite the distance, Sofia’s attention to detail and ability to understand the couple’s vision made the process enjoyable and stress-free. The planner’s experience and skills truly brought this dream wedding to life.
On the wedding morning, Mia looked radiant in her romantic lace gown, complemented by soft waves and natural makeup by Fanny Wong Beauty. Her accessories, including delicate earrings and a simple veil, added a touch of elegance. The bridal bouquet by Atelier Mimoza Paris was a beautiful arrangement of white roses and greenery, perfectly matching the bridesmaids’ flowers.
Matt, looking dapper in a traditional tuxedo, prepared with his groomsmen, who matched his sophisticated look. The bridal party’s attire was unified by the elegant bronze silky dresses of the bridesmaids and the classic black tuxedos of the groomsmen.
The ceremony took place in a richly decorated hall with red and gold accents, where guests were surrounded by lush floral arrangements of white and green. A string quartet provided a beautiful musical backdrop, enhancing the ceremony’s emotional atmosphere. Mia and Matt exchanged vows in front of their friends and family, promising each other their “happily ever after.”
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a delightful cocktail hour on the château’s elegant grounds. They sipped champagne and savored appetizers while mingling under the summer sun. The stylish white bar adorned with greenery and elegant vases added a chic touch to the outdoor setting. This time allowed guests to relax and enjoy the beauty of the venue before the evening festivities began.
The couple took a moment alone and walked around the château’s grounds. Cristina Ilao Photo captured their love against the backdrop of the château’s stunning architecture and lush greenery. The photos reflect the intimacy and joy of their special day.
The reception decor included elegant table settings with white flowers and candles, perfectly complementing the château’s grand interiors. The stationery by Anna Jayne Designs, adorned with delicate green leaves, added a touch of nature to the sophisticated setting.
The dinner featured a lively mix of cultural elements, with Indonesian dancers from Devi Yohanita Gallery captivating the guests and a live swing band, Whisper Note, setting a joyous tone for the evening.
As the evening progressed, guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner catered by Grand Chemin Traiteur in the grand reception hall. Mia and Matt shared their first dance as a married couple, surrounded by their loved ones.
The highlight of the evening was the cake-cutting ceremony, where the couple cut into a three-tiered cake adorned with fresh flowers. The night concluded with a spectacular fireworks display, leaving guests in awe and providing a grand finale to a perfect day.
