Their first official date at a Miami Heat game set the tone for their fun-loving relationship. Years later, during a weekend getaway at the iconic Breakers Hotel in West Palm Beach, where they indulged their love for art, Gabriel surprised Katherine with a proposal on the beach. “All I could do was cry,” Katherine recalls. “And, of course, I finally said yes!” They tied the knot on their eighth anniversary, making their love story come full circle.
The couple describes themselves as the perfect complement to one another. “Gabriel is always the man with a plan,” Katherine says. “He’s the type who needs to know every ETA, a huge planner.” On the other hand, Katherine’s laid-back nature made her the “chillest bride ever,” according to her wedding planner. Their balance of spontaneity and structure makes them unstoppable, a true testament to the saying that opposites attract.
The bride’s vision was to create a wedding that exuded timeless elegance with subtle modern touches. She drew much of her inspiration from the venue itself, captivated by its garden mazes and the grand architecture of the estate. “I wanted to transport my guests to Italy, all while staying in Miami,” she explains. The goal was for every guest to feel like they were stepping into an Italian villa, surrounded by classic beauty and charm.
Wedding Morning & Fashion
The morning began with Katherine surrounded by her bridesmaids, sharing laughs and excitement as they prepared for the day ahead. For her wedding look, the bride was inspired by classic elegance. She chose a stunning ivory strapless gown from Wona Concept with a modern twist—a chic slit that added a touch of flair. Her hair was styled in a sleek low bun, a practical yet stylish choice to combat the Miami heat. “I was so nervous about the weather,” she admits, “but it turned out to be the most perfect breezy Miami day.”
Wearing her mother’s freshwater pearl earrings and diamond tennis bracelet made the day even more special as her “something borrowed,” adding sentimental value to her timeless look. As for her shoes, Katherine finally found the perfect pair after months of searching—elegant Aquazzura platforms that completed her effortlessly chic bridal style.
Gabriel chose a local gem for his wedding attire, opting for a custom tuxedo from Sartori Amici, a renowned Italian tailor in Coral Gables. For the ceremony, he wore a classic black tuxedo featuring suede lapels and matching suede loafers for a refined, timeless look. To add a personal touch, Gabriel made a quick tux jacket change for the reception, swapping the black for a sleek white tux jacket with black accents, bringing a modern twist to his classic style. The outfit change added a fresh element of elegance to the evening’s celebration.
First Look
The couple’s first look was an unforgettable and calming moment, setting the perfect tone for their wedding day. The moment they saw each other, all anxiety was replaced by pure joy and love. “First looks are an absolute must,” Katherine shares. “It made the day flow so smoothly, and seeing each other early on really eased our nerves.” The private moment gave them time to connect, savor the excitement, and take in the day’s significance before the celebrations officially began.
My husband's father passed away early in our relationship, and I gifted him a pin he wore on the inside of his tux jacket all day. I gave it to him during our first look, and it was so special!
Ceremony
The ceremony was magical, set in the historic estate adorned with lush white florals lining the mirrored aisle, creating a reflective elegance that amplified the scene’s beauty. Every detail, from the vintage-inspired chairs to the soft greenery, transported guests into an enchanting Italian garden atmosphere. As Gabriel and Katherine exchanged vows, the air was filled with the melodies of a string quartet, adding to the serene and romantic setting. Giselle Films captured the emotions perfectly, ensuring every touching glance was preserved, allowing them to relive the beauty of the day forever. It was a moment of pure love, in a setting no one will soon forget.
Just before the celebration and dinner, the newlyweds spent quality time with their wedding party, sharing laughs and receiving heartfelt well wishes from their closest friends and family.

The reception space was an enchanting combination of elegance and nature. Classic green and white hues set the tone for the overall design, perfectly complementing the venue’s lush garden atmosphere. The planners truly outdid themselves by incorporating large trees into the reception area, bringing the garden indoors. The stunning meadow altar was a showstopper, surrounded by greenery and delicate florals that mirrored the beauty of the outdoor setting. It felt like a celebration under the stars, with chandeliers hanging among the foliage, casting a magical glow over the entire space. Every detail, from the gold-rimmed place settings to the floral arrangements that adorned the tables, contributed to a timeless and romantic aesthetic that made the evening feel truly unforgettable.
The celebration and reception were unforgettable, with unique touches that made the evening magical. The custom dance floor was one of the most extraordinary elements of the night. “I had this crazy idea for an elevated flower-filled shadow box dance floor,” the bride recalls, “and my insanely talented wedding planner brought it to life!” It was a stunning feature that left guests in awe, seamlessly blending with the garden-inspired theme.
While the historic Miami venue provided the perfect scene with its timeless charm, the little details made the night exceptional. The evening exuded romance, from the elegant floral arrangements to the stunning Italian cake. “I could go on for days about every single detail,” Katherine shares, reflecting on how the night perfectly captured their vision of beauty and joy. The atmosphere was vibrant, intimate, and full of love—a perfect celebration to start their life together as husband and wife.
There isn’t one particular thing that made the wedding day unique for me because so much thought was put into every detail. My wedding wouldn’t have been so unforgettable and perfect if it wasn’t for every single vendor, my planner, and the venue!
