Behind every refined celebration lies a creative hand that knows how to translate vision into atmosphere. For this wedding at Luttrellstown Castle just outside Dublin, The Art and Romance shaped a world that felt intentional, poetic, and seamlessly personal.
L & R met in their twenties, and years later, a proposal at Bow Bridge opened the next chapter. Their path led from a civil ceremony in Monaco to an intimate celebration in Ireland, with forty loved ones, framed by heritage and quiet Jewish traditions.

Time of planning: 7 months
Number of guests: 40
Setting: Castle
Season: Summer
The Vision & Location
The celebration was built on three intersecting aesthetics. Garden naturalism shaped the ceremony with florals that appeared rooted in the earth and draped fabrics that moved with the breeze. Old-world elegance came through the castle’s interiors: gilded accents, historic paintings, and crystal chandeliers that framed the dinner setting with depth and weight. And layered within this was a touch of coastal freshness: the blue-and-white palette, anchored by blooms, echoed the ease of a Nantucket summer, bringing clarity and lightness to the grandeur of an Irish castle. The reception reflected this same balance, with long tablescapes set under chandeliers and candlelight that extended the atmosphere into the evening.
“What we really wanted was coherence. A sense of unity between the space, the music, the mood, and the images, everything orbiting around the same feeling. And that’s exactly what Gabi at The Art and Romance managed to do.”
The Сouple
Among the details, one of the most distinctive touches was the use of Toile de Jouy, the iconic French blue-and-white pattern dating back to the 18th century. Traditionally seen on fabrics and porcelain, its naturalistic motifs brought a sense of heritage and refinement into the wedding design. Placed alongside hydrangeas and roses by Bella Botanica, the pattern added texture and depth, softening the grandeur of the castle with an element that felt both historic and contemporary.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
The morning began in a suite of the castle, where soft light fell through tall windows and reflected off marble surfaces. The bride prepared in quiet elegance, surrounded by heirloom paintings and botanical sketches that echoed the refined atmosphere of the venue. The stationery, designed by Bemo Line, carried the same restrained luxury: ivory tones, delicate gold foiling, and calligraphy in soft lines. Even in these small details, the design philosophy of coherence and unity was carried through.
The bride’s look started with natural makeup by Noeleen Cunningham, focused on luminous skin and soft tones, paired with hair styling by Aidan Darcy, who created an effortless yet polished shape that framed the veil with movement.
She wore gowns by Mila Nova and Rosie Etienne, paired with a Rosa Clará veil that added fluidity to her silhouette. The accessories were chosen with intention: Roger Vivier shoes with crystal detail, jewelry by APM, and a Boucheron Quatre wedding band that matched the groom’s. Each piece spoke of refinement without excess, complementing rather than competing with the atmosphere.
Ceremony
The gardens of the castle became the stage for a ceremony defined by purity and restraint. White chairs were placed in simple lines on the lawn, each aisle marked with single blooms that mirrored the floral language of the day. The facade of the castle, covered in ivy and framed with arched windows, stood as a dramatic backdrop, its Gothic symmetry softened by greenery.
The bride walked across the grounds holding a bouquet of ivory roses, their fullness echoing the timeless elegance of her gown. It was a moment that merged intimacy with grandeur, where every gesture felt measured and sincere.
One of the most heartfelt touches was a hand-drawn portrait of the couple’s beloved dog, Prosper, accompanied by a note: “I know I could not be there today. You know I am not one for loud noise or big crowds. I just love your quiet company. While you danced, I daydreamed. While you toasted, I wagged. And while you said ‘I do’, I whispered ‘I love you’ very softly in my sleep. I cannot wait for cuddles, your stories and being close again.”
The ceremony closed with a blurred frame of their kiss, flowers in the foreground, a tender image captured with artistry by Anna G that encapsulated the day.
Reception & Decor
Inside the castle, the reception unfolded with cinematic precision. A single long table stretched across the room beneath chandeliers, its white linen base lined with blue-and-white floral compositions. Gold candlesticks and crystal stemware reflected the candlelight, while menus embossed with the couple’s bespoke crest added a personal mark of refinement. Every place felt considered: guest names handwritten on cards, silk details at each setting, and florals echoing the ceremony’s palette.

The cake by Fern Cakery stood as its own sculptural moment: layered in white, framed by clusters of flowers, and set on a table draped in ruffles. Cutting it together became a gesture of quiet intimacy, framed by love and devotion.
As the evening deepened, candlelight took over the room. Dozens of slender flames lined the table, their reflections multiplying against crystal glassware. The atmosphere shifted from structured to fluid, captured in blurred frames of laughter, raised glasses, and the glow of conversation.
"It was a celebration that honoured their story in the most meaningful way, and one that reflects the heart of what we create at The Art and Romance."
Gaby of The Art and Romance
Music filled the air, carrying guests into the night. The celebration closed outdoors, where fireworks by Emerald Fireworks lit the sky over the castle, a spectacle that crowned the day with brilliance.
Advice from the couple:
• Don’t waste time trying to get quotes from every vendor on the planet. There will always be something ‘better’ somewhere; instead, choose 2 or 3 options for the right reasons, and commit.
• Don’t expect to rest in the days leading up to the wedding; you’ll be finishing all the last-minute details you never even thought of.
• Whatever budget you set at the start… double it. But also know this: a few months later, you’ll laugh about it and you won’t regret a single cent spent on such a unique moment in your life.
• And finally: once you’ve lived through all of this, you’ll find it hard to imagine how you could have done it without Gabi!
