Nicole is an architect with a penchant for design and a love for shopping, especially shoes. Her groom, Douglas, is a finance professional and a dedicated marathon runner. Despite living in different parts of the world—Nicole from Singapore and Douglas from the UK, currently residing in Switzerland—their love story unfolded beautifully. Initially set to tie the knot in 2020, the couple faced challenges due to the global pandemic, prompting them to reschedule their wedding not once but twice. Initially planning to relocate to Europe, Nicole found herself navigating through unforeseen circumstances. The couple remained patient, embracing the changes life threw at them.
The picturesque Masseria le Carrube served as the perfect backdrop for Nicole and Douglas’ wedding. The ceremony took place in the symbolic olive grove within the estate, followed by an enchanting aperitif in the courtyard. The outdoor dinner, set in the main courtyard under fairy lights and the shade of the iconic Carrubo tree, was a vision of romance.
Nicole looked absolutely stunning in her exquisite gown by Ines di Santo. Wedding dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoes. While her hair and makeup by Beauty Livery exuded old-times elegance with an updo.
Nicole’s favorite color is green, and this was subtly woven throughout the entire wedding. One of these “green accents” was showcased in the beautiful bridesmaids’ dresses.
For his wedding attire, Douglas opted for a traditional black tuxedo, complemented by an elegant bow tie. Notably, the groomsmen wore green bow ties, harmonizing with the bridesmaids’ dresses.
The venue for the wedding ceremony, surrounded by an olive grove, was magnificent. Amid nature there was an arch adorned entirely with greenery and white roses, accented with dried flowers. White chairs and a decorated aisle created a unique and enchanting atmosphere. The decor, meticulously planned by the White Emotion team, seamlessly integrated with the natural beauty of Apulia, showcasing the pinnacle of wedding artistry.
The ceremony unfolded in a romantic setting, bathed in the glow of the setting sun. The guests became witnesses as Douglas and Nicole exchanged vows of love, creating a beautiful and heartfelt moment that left no one indifferent.
A brief photo session following the ceremony provided an opportunity to capture memorable pictures of Nicole, Douglas, and their guests.
As the sun started dipping below the horizon, romantic portraits of the couple were captured by Benjamin Higgins, adding a touch of magic to the celebration.
Nicole’s love for green and white inspired the planners at White Emotion to create a unique fairy-tale decor that would seamlessly blend with the beautiful venue hosting the wedding reception. The combination of greenery and white roses with dried flowers perfectly complemented the location’s natural beauty. The fairy lights illuminating the dining table added a romantic touch. The outdoor dinner was terrific in the central courtyard under enchanting lights and in the shade of the iconic Carrubo tree.
During the reception, the appetizers were served in a distinctive and colorful manner, highlighting the local flair and adding originality to the dinner.
Nicole and Douglas made a grand entrance at the reception, greeted with sheer delight by the attending guests.
What made the day truly unique was the relaxed atmosphere and the deliberate absence of formalities, creating an environment where love and celebration took center stage.
The wedding cake stood out with a presentation that seamlessly blended into the surrounding atmosphere. Not only was the cake a masterpiece of confectionery art, crafted in a classical style and adorned with berries, but it was also remarkably delicious, adding an exquisite touch to the celebration.
In the evening, Nicole changed into a more glamorous attire. She adorned a light, straight silk dress with a delicate cape made of the finest feathers and sparkling sequins, creating a special festive look. In this dress, Nicole could dance the night away, just like all the guests, as the evening was filled with lively music.
