The talented videographer Courtney Clayton ensured that every wedding moment was preserved with a fantastic film for the couple. She highlighted all the emotional and fun aspects of their day, seamlessly weaving candid moments, heartfelt speeches, and joyful celebrations into a beautiful narrative reflecting the couple’s spirit.
The story behind the ceremony’s location is very inspirational. The historic Basilica of the Immaculate Conception has a rich past as one of the oldest Catholic churches in north Florida. It is undoubtedly a magnificent building with a captivating facade and enchanting interior. But also is the same church where Lexi’s parents were married over 30 years ago, adding a touch of family tradition to the celebration.
Lexi always knew that she wanted a classic bridal look. As with the location, she found her dress in Orlando at The Collection, the same store where her mother found her wedding dress. Lexi’s dress was a stunning ball gown with intricate lace detailing from legendary Monique Lhuillier. The sweetheart neckline added a touch of romance, while the fitted bodice highlighted her elegant silhouette. The skirt flared out gracefully, creating a fairy-tale, timeless, and enchanting effect. A short veil added a playful and vintage touch to her ensemble, perfectly complementing her timeless aesthetic.
Planning a wedding in eight months is no small feat, but Lexi and Willy created a grand and intimate day. With 175 guests, the couple ensured their closest family and friends were part of their unforgettable day. The speeches delivered at the reception were sincere and touching, with each guest sharing funny and warm stories about the couple. One of the most memorable speeches was from Willy’s cousin, Marcello Hernández, a comedian. The inspiration behind the theme was to create a sophisticated and traditional atmosphere that would stand the test of time. The decor and overall ambiance reflected this vision, resulting in a stunning experience for everyone. The venue was adorned with tall, opulent floral centerpieces on every table, creating a lavish and enchanting atmosphere. The checkerboard floor came alive with a vibrant mix of Spanish and American music, reflecting and honoring the diverse cultural backgrounds of Lexi and Willy. As a personal and exotic touch, guests were gifted with custom cigars from the Dominican Republic, adding an element of luxury and celebration to the festivities.
