Virginia and Mattia first met in July 2010. At the time, Virginia had just graduated from high school and was preparing to start her college journey. Virginia found a mentor in Mattia, who was already navigating life as an off-campus student. A year after their first meeting, they fell in love while attending Bocconi University in Milan. “Lots of studies, a library open day and night, and, outside of there, a city to be discovered: these are the ingredients that mixed and gave rise to our story,” Virginia recalls. They spent countless hours studying together and exploring the city. She hooked him on cooking, including keeping it clean after cooking, while he taught her how to ski and made her fall in love with the mountains even in winter. Their mutual passion for travel, particularly in Southeast Asia, also significantly impacted their relationship.

As they grew together, Virginia and Mattia became successful managers—Virginia in the fashion industry and Mattia in the financial sector. Their shared values and mutual support helped them establish a strong foundation for their relationship. The couple celebrated their love with a dream wedding at an Italian villa, beginning their married life with the curation of talented planners from The Different Twins.

The couple loves nature and history, and they had no doubts about the venue they chose for their wedding: the 19th-century Villa Rizzardi and Italian-style gardens, renowned for their verdure theatre and spectacular perspectives. The villa is situated near Verona, the city of love, at the center of an area of historical and cultural interest and a hub for the area’s wine-growing nature.

The lovebirds prepared for their wedding in the villa, surrounded by their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Every detail, carefully selected for the couple, was ready to start the big day.

Virginia has always had a minimalist approach to her choices. When it came to her wedding dress, she wanted something beautiful and unique. She ultimately chose a Lanvin Grecian-style gown in ivory color charmeuse with ruffles and elegant drapery. The sleeveless dress featured a V-neckline that complimented her physique gracefully. The bride wore tasteful sparkling drop earrings and a delicate necklace to add subtle details to her bridal look. Her hair was styled in a refined updo, and her makeup was done with a natural palette, highlighting her features with poise.

Mattia’s well-tailored, classic navy blue suit perfectly fitted his frame. He wore a small white flower boutonniere that matched the white of his tie and bride’s bouquet. The groomsmen opted for suits identical in color and style to the groom’s; instead of white ties, they wore light mint color ones.

The bridesmaids’ dresses were made of light, sheer tulle in a delicate sage green. They featured a V-neckline, ruched bodice, and gathered skirt, providing a dreamy and feminine look.

A civil ceremony took place along the cypress-lined avenue within the Pojega Gardens. The Different Twins organized a mesmerizing setting, creating a stunning floral temple at the center of the avenue where the couple should exchange their vows. This floral marvel featured cascading white flowers forming a tunnel-like effect, with giant lilies and delicate baby’s breath among the blooms. Guests sat on transparent ghost chairs, adding to the intimate atmosphere. The bride and groom entered simultaneously from opposite ends of the avenue, meeting at the flower temple for a truly enchanting moment.

After the wedding ceremony, the guests went to the grove for an aperitif. There, they enjoyed glasses of champagne, live cooking corners, and music, including swing, jazz, and Italian songs played by a live band.

The team at The Different Twins made the table plan more lively. A calligrapher crafted personalized place cards for each guest, featuring their names. Every card had a watercolor image of the villa gardens on one side and their assigned table name on the other. During the cocktail hour, guests also had the chance to enjoy a unique fortune-telling experience with a tarot card reader.

The dinner took place in the amphitheater. The decided layout was a mix of rectangular and round tables. The tables were covered with green Toile de Jouy tablecloths, with handcrafted Florentine wood carved underplates, gold cutlery, and Melody crystal glasses placed on them. The menus were made of handmade paper and contained the name of each guest written by hand. A notable personal touch was the naming of each table after a destination Virginia and Mattea planed to visit on their honeymoon, such as Japan and Polynesia. The couple’s logo was featured on all the details of the day.

The couple had a private moment, which was captured in a series of poignant photographs by Zonzo Studio. The historic surroundings of the villa and grand architecture served as a backdrop. The soft evening light bathed them in a warm glow, highlighting the closeness they share.

As the sun set on the joyous occasion, the atmosphere transitioned to a spirited party celebrating love and unity. The festivities unfolded under the night sky. The backdrop was lit with a mesmerizing pattern of blue lights that mimicked a celestial ambiance, adding a magical touch to the open-air setting. The warm glow from candles and spotlights created an intimate space.

Music and dance took center stage as Virginia and Mattia shared their first dance, inviting everyone to join the celebration. The joyful and lively atmosphere perfectly set the stage for the evening’s festivities.

The couple’s wedding cake was an elegant cream tart adorned with fresh raspberries, and the cake-cutting ceremony was a highlight of the event. It took place in front of the villa, beneath a beautifully decorated flower temple, creating a memorable and picturesque moment for all the guests. And then the happy dancing continued late into the night.
