Weihan and Chloe first met at a university through a mutual friend: Chloe was meeting with a childhood friend who happened to be taking the same course as Weihan. They began spending more time with one another and, a year later, started dating. After 5 years, Weihan proposed where they first went on a hike together as friends. “Funny enough, it was called the “friendship trail” and years later, we would come out more than friends.” laughed Chloe.
Sincerely Studio brought the garden’s lush backdrop and the venue’s rustic charm into harmonious focus, complementing the wedding’s joyous spirit. Each frame highlights the natural beauty of the setting and allows the couple’s emotions to shine through, capturing not just the event but also the subtle glances and genuine smiles that give the celebration its heart.
Weihan and Chloe’s wedding day was inspired by wildflowers and a laidback garden party vibe. They chose an old chapel at Cranberry Creek and wanted to incorporate the venue’s natural landscape into their celebration.
The bride’s gown by The Modern Bride is decorated with floral appliqués, complementing her soft glam makeup and loosely waved hair. Her bouquet, featuring white and blush flowers among verdant greens, echoes the dress’s floral theme.
In their first look, the bride and groom share smiles that radiate a deep connection and joy. They take a stroll through the chapel’s gardens, capturing beautiful moments together before the ceremony begins.
The wedding ceremony was set against lush gardens and an old white chapel. Groomsmen wore the traditional Filipino dress shirt, known as a ‘barong,’ and the bridal party, in shades of pink and cream, added a soft splash of color. The bride and groom stood hand in hand, radiating joy and smiles in front of their loved ones.
“During the reception, the power went out due to a massive thunderstorm. The backup generator wouldn’t kick in and was stuck in the reception barn for half an hour. Fortunately, we had candles everywhere, which illuminated the barn and made it very romantic.” shared the bride.
The cake featured ube, a purple yam flavor popular in Filipino desserts, as a nod to Chloe’s heritage and one of her favorite tastes. Following the cake-cutting and dinner in the barn, guests stepped outside to join the newlyweds for dancing all night long.
Advice from the couple:
• Don’t sweat the little stuff, be flexible, and take humor out of situations out of your control, like our power outage.
