Alessia and Alessio met at university, and their friendship blossomed into something more unique and special when Alessia understood that Alessio was not just a friend but someone whose presence had become special and important in her life.
“Today, as we look at them together, after working alongside them for a year to plan and create their wedding, it’s clear how strong the bond that unites them truly is. They are different, yes, but it’s precisely this diversity that makes their relationship so rich and profound. They complement each other, support each other in their passions and dreams, granting each other the freedom that only true love can give,” adds their planner, Sara Tusset.
Choosing the wedding venue was easy, thanks to the excellent job done by planner Sara Tusset in providing suitable options for the couple: “As I always do for my couples, after an initial interview to understand their dreams and expectations, I begin the selection of locations that may be perfect for the couple. I always present 3, and I am sure that from these, couples always choose their heart location.” This time, the couple discovered their perfect spot: Oltre il Giardino, an unusual Provencal-style loft on the Appia Antica with a stunning garden view. Knowing they wanted a modern, glamorous, and cool setting to match their style, Alessio & Alessia fell in love with this location. The planner ensured that every detail was taken care of, resulting in a flawless wedding for the couple and their guests to enjoy.
The bride’s wedding morning was filled with excitement. She wore a stunning Pronovias dress adorned with lilies, purchased in Rome on one of the capital’s most beautiful streets. The same lilies decorated the church, encased in a plexiglass case to symbolize that beauty must be protected. Her Jimmy Choo shoes perfectly complemented the dress, adding an extra touch of elegance. The bride’s bouquet, designed with the reception palette in mind, was an energetic floral explosion that reflected her vibrant personality.
Alessio’s morning was a blend of calm preparation and joyful anticipation. He wore his suit, ensuring every detail was perfect, from his cufflinks to the final adjustment of his tie. The attention to detail and the love poured into every moment of their preparations set the tone for a perfect wedding day.
The couple chose to have their ceremony at the Basilica of St. Sabina on the elegant Aventine Hill in Rome. Established in 425, this church was typically known for its austere gray color. However, the planners decided to bring a light and airy feel to the ceremony by incorporating a total white theme. The church’s design, while contrasting with the basilica’s powerful presence, still honored its sacred significance. The choice of plexiglass seats ensured that every element reflected the purity and lightness of the occasion.
The ceremony was a heartfelt and deeply personal affair that truly reflected the love between Alessio and Alessia. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows about their journey together and their dreams for the future. The atmosphere was filled with emotion, every moment steeped in significance. This beautiful fusion of history and modern elegance made their wedding day unforgettable, a true celebration of love and commitment.
The bride's entrance into the church was the most memorable moment! It always excites me to see the bride make her appearance with all the guests glamorizing her beauty. At that moment begins what I call the "ciack si gira." From this moment, everything has to be perfect!

Right after the ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed intimate moments together, captured beautifully by their photographer, Elisa Rinaldi. The picturesque setting perfectly mirrored Alessio and Alessia’s vibrant personalities. The wedding cake, adorned with bright cherries, echoed the colorful theme of their celebration. Alessio and Alessia also delighted in a champagne tower, adding a touch of elegance and fun to their day.
The event was hosted at Oltre Il Giardino, a charming Provençal-style loft on the Appia Antica. The reception was a vibrant explosion of floral colors, with even the wines chosen to complement the day’s palette. The bride’s lipstick, Mars – Walk This Way in Warm Leatherette, inspired the reception’s color scheme. The palette reflected the couple’s character and featured fuchsia, magenta, nude pink, warm lilac, tangerine, and cloud pink. The couple also had a special cocktail designed for them, named A2, which matched the chosen colors. This delightful drink, made with prosecco, strawberry juice, and grenadine, added a personalized touch to their celebration.
Sara Tusset, the couple’s planner, played a crucial role in designing and creating the wedding of their dreams. Her expertise and creative vision ensured that every detail was perfect, making their special day truly unforgettable.
We and Sara worked together on our wedding planning naturally, with enthusiasm and care. Sara listens to you and welcomes you, her ideas like an extension of my thoughts, right from the start she was like a dear friend, familiar and caring.

The reception was exceptional, with the newlyweds savoring every moment and spending quality time with their loved ones. For the music, the couple selected a singer with a vintage flair to perform captivating shows throughout the meal. His performance transported and entertained the guests, adding a unique touch to the celebration. The couple chose “Senza di Te” by Zibba for their first dance, creating a magical moment. What truly made their wedding special was the culmination of a year’s meticulous planning and the love and support of all their guests.
At the end of the wedding, Alessia decided to forgo the traditional bouquet toss and instead handed out a rose to each unmarried friend in attendance. This sweet and personal touch made the moment even more special.
I had been following Sara Tusset on social for some time, I had madly fallen in love with her style and ideas, I dreamed of having her for our day even before I received the proposal. Meeting her made everything wonderful, our day was intense and magical.
