Brandy and Casey are both veterans of the United States Marine Corps. They met while on active duty in California and were only 22 years old when Brandy proposed. “We did not have a lot of money, so the actual wedding was postponed until we were in a position to have our dream wedding,“ shared Casey. That is why, after 10 years together, they decided to hold a beautiful vow renewal at Texas Hill Country Resort.
They really wanted an elegant yet earthy wedding that highlighted the beautiful oak trees and the fall weather. The wedding planner Lotus Events made their dreams come true. Each setting appears thoughtfully curated to embody a romantic atmosphere. The attention to detail, from the beautifully adorned ceremonial arch to the elegantly styled reception, reflects a masterful blend of elegance and charm.
Casey’s wedding dress features long sleeves and intricate lace detailing, leading to a sweeping train for a timeless bridal appearance. Her hair falls in graceful waves, and she holds a bouquet rich with autumn hues, including orange blooms and white flowers set against fresh greens.
“I wanted the groomsman to be a lighter color blue than the groom, and it was important for our 3 boys to be there to see their parents renew vows after 10 years. The bridesmaids all had different shades of green, that matched perfectly with the men’s navy suits.” the braid said.
The ceremony took place in the gardens of Camp Lucy Sacred Oaks. The bride, escorted by her father, walked towards the groom, who waited under the arch decorated with fall-colored flowers. Following the renewal of their vows, the couple proceeded to the bell tower to ring the bell, celebrating the occasion with joy.
The reception was held outdoors in the warm rays of a setting sun. Guests were moving to the music on a patio under a canopy of trees. The venue was alive with conversation and laughter, with people mingling and enjoying the warm day.
In the quiet before their reception, the couple strolled together through the oak garden, enjoying a serene walk alone and tender kisses.
“Everything about the day was absolutely perfect! The number one person who made the day this way was Tara Blackwell from Lotus Events. It was absolutely stress-free, and she literally took all the stress and anxiety away from the bride! Another shoutout to our photographer and videographer—they made the event so fun!” shared the bride.
The reception unfolded in a warmly lit space adorned with elegant floral arrangements and candles, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Guests danced to heartfelt music, their happy toasts and laughter echoing through the hall. A tender moment was captured as the couple shared a kiss, illuminated by the sparkle of fireworks, marking a joyous celebration of their commitment.
