Jo and Bruce’s love story commenced on the grounds of the University, where chance encounters and shared dreams laid the foundation for a bond that would stand the test of time. Fast forward 15 years, and the duo found themselves standing at the altar, ready to embark on a new adventure together.

The festivities kicked off with a pre-wedding pool party, where guests immersed themselves in the celebration carefree. This party set the tone for the joyous occasion that followed, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

Choosing the venue for their special day was a breeze for Jo and Bruce. Marrakech, a city that had captured their hearts years ago, hosted their wedding festivities. The Beldi Country Club, with its diverse settings, proved to be a match made in heaven for the couple. From the iconic glasshouse for the ceremony to the traditional Beldi courtyard for drinks and the Arabian dining room for dinner, every corner of the venue echoed the couple’s aesthetic vision.

Amidst the enchanting tapestry of Marrakech’s wedding landscape, Jo’s chosen wedding attire stood out for its elegance and incredible refinement. Her wedding gown, crafted by her talented friend and wedding designer from Bon Bride, became the epitome of sophistication. The choice of Carvela mules and Victoria Chapman earrings added a distinctive touch to her bridal look.

Reflecting on her choice, Joe exclaimed, “I couldn’t be luckier that one of my best girls is a wedding dress designer! I had admired her designs for years watching her grow her business and knew I would be a Bon Bride one day. I felt a million dollars in my dress, it was so special.”

As for Jo herself, she chose a loose hairstyle, allowing her hair to cascade in gentle waves, culminating in a delicate updo. Her subtle and tender makeup accentuated her natural beauty, enhancing rather than overshadowing her radiant presence.

Jo’s bridesmaids were nothing short of stunning in the enchanting Marrakech wedding. Adorned in striking dresses crafted from silk fabric in various shades of pink, they looked enchanting amidst the backdrop of this Eastern fairy tale. The overall effect was a bride and her entourage who effortlessly embodied the grace and charm of a modern-day fairy tale.

Bruce exuded a timeless and festive charm. His attire was a testament to his impeccable style, radiating sophistication amidst the exotic backdrop of their celebration. Bruce embraced a classic and refined look, opting for a tuxedo ensemble that effortlessly blended style and celebration. The ensemble featured a sleek black jacket paired with crisp white trousers, creating a striking contrast that added a modern flair to the traditional tuxedo. The ensemble was punctuated with a stylish bow tie.

Jo and Bruce’s wedding ceremony unfolded in the breathtaking setting of a verdant glasshouse. The venue, reminiscent of a tropical paradise, immersed the couple and their guests in a lush oasis, creating an atmosphere of ethereal beauty.

The glasshouse, adorned with transparent walls and ceilings, allowed the soft Moroccan sunlight to filter through, casting a gentle glow on the surroundings. This play of light and the abundance of greenery created an illusion of weightlessness and airiness. There was a feeling that  time stood still.

Jo and Bruce’s wedding ceremony unfolded as a poignant and beautiful moment, filled with emotion and tender exchanges. The anticipation peaked as Bruce and their little son, Anderson, walked towards the altar.

As Jo, adorned in her exquisite wedding gown, made her way down the aisle escorted by her father, the atmosphere was filled with awe and adoration. The presence of Anderson added an extra layer of warmth, symbolizing the union of two souls and a family embarking on a shared journey of love and togetherness.

The guests gathered to witness this beautiful union and became the observers of a ceremony infused with love and sincerity. Jo and Bruce exchanged vows that resonated with the depth of their affection.

In the transition from ceremony to celebration, Jo and Bruce invited their guests to indulge in the enchantment of a traditional Beldi courtyard. The August evening, warm and sultry, set the stage for a cocktail hour that would become a highlight of their wedding festivities.

Magda, the founder of Fotomagoria, played a pivotal role in immortalizing the love story of Jo and Bruce through her lens. With a true artist’s creative vision, she crafted portraits that reflected the couple’s deep affection and encapsulated the beauty of their wedding day.

Magda’s photographic prowess extended beyond mere documentation. Her images radiated with the warmth of love and the tender emotions shared between the couple. Each portrait, a masterpiece in its own right, conveyed the narrative of a day filled with joy, laughter, and the magic of Marrakech. Her lens transformed the surroundings into a visual symphony of Eastern allure, highlighting the exquisite beauty of the location where Jo and Bruce’s love story unfolded.

The reception unfolded in the intimate setting of a riad, bathed in the warm glow of candles and the soft illumination of typical Moroccan lamps suspended overhead. Inspired by the rugged Berber style and nestled within a botanical haven, the decor exuded simplicity and charm, creating an atmosphere that spoke of understated elegance.

The tabletops, adorned with the essence of the Berber aesthetic, eschewed traditional floral arrangements in favor of a more distinctive touch. Instead of blooms, the tables featured oversized green palm leaves sourced from the local company Le Kiosque à Fleurs à Marrakech. These botanical statements, accompanied by a rustic bouquet of dried flowers, seamlessly blended with the natural surroundings, invoking the spirit of Marrakech’s vibrant landscapes.

Jo and Bruce added an exotic twist to their wedding celebration, opting for a mesmerizing Moroccan-style dance instead of the conventional first dance. Stepping onto palanquins Jo and Bruce chose a Moroccan song that echoed through the air. The sultry rhythms of the music set the tone for a dance that blended tradition with a contemporary twist. Their friend, the DJ, worked his magic, transforming the palanquin procession into a rendition of Whitney Houston’s empowering anthem, “I’m Every Woman.”
