One can call Silja and Josh’s love story “right person, right time.” Josh is from the USA, while Silja is from Germany. They both took a boat tour in Dubrovnik, expecting just your ordinary tourist activity, but ultimately, finding their love. A year later, they decided to take a trip to New England, and since then, Silja and Josh have become inseparable. Their genuine affection grew stronger each day, no matter the vast distance of the Atlantic Ocean between them.
Bride's Fashion
Silja’s look was clean and sophisticated. She went for an Enzoani white satin gown with a voluminous trail. For the shoes, the bride chose pointy cream-colored heels from Jimmy Choo. Pearl detailing on the strap added a playful yet elegant touch to the attire.
As for the makeup, the bride kept it natural, adding soft peachy blush and dusty-rose lipstick. To showcase the open neckline in the back of the dress, Silja had her hair in a voluminous low bun. Mirroring the detailing on the shoes, she added golden hairpins with chunky pearls.
Silja’s Chanel earrings were a wedding gift from Josh, which perfectly complemented her monochromatic look. The bride also wore dainty golden bracelets and a ring from Tiffany & Co.
Groom's Fashion
Josh opted for a dark navy suit with a sky-blue bowtie. He wore an intricate pocket boutonniere to match his bride’s white roses bouquet. The friends of the groom followed the same color palette for their attire.
Ceremony
The outdoor ceremony place overlooked vast green vineyards of the Burg Schwarzenstein castle, which served as the perfect backdrop for the occasion. The guests took their places in the sunlit backyard; each of them was offered an elegant umbrella and a fan to ease the August heat.
Josh stood waiting at the altar; behind him was a square-shaped frame decorated with white flower arrangements. As Silja appeared, all eyes turned to her. The gorgeous pearly-white gown was glowing in the sun.
Before exchanging their vows, Silja and Josh sat in front of their beloved audience. The wedding celebrant Deine Traumhochzeit opened the ceremony with a heartfelt speech while live piano music softly played in the background. The ceremony was done in English, making the couple’s international guests feel included and welcomed.
After finally saying the cherished “Yes, I do!” the couple shared a sweet kiss, and the audience erupted with loud applause. As the newlyweds made their way down the aisle, the guests cheered joyfully, throwing white rose petals into the air. A picturesque ending to an unforgettable ceremony.

The reception was held right next to the ceremony location. The luminous space with vast windows allowed the guests to have a view of the vineyards even during dinner. The hall was just the perfect size for the intimate number of guests. The decor mirrored the elegant aesthetic of the wedding. White tablecloths, silver cutlery, exquisite white flower arrangements on top of the golden structures, translucent chairs, and crystal chandeliers made the space feel breezy and light, just like the rose petals.
Reception
The couple and their guests enjoyed a great selection of wine, delicious food, and fruit desserts. One by one, the family members gave little personal speeches, recalling the couple’s past and wishing them the happiest future together. The atmosphere was peaceful and full of genuine affection; the newlyweds could not stop smiling, admiring each other and their closest friends and family.
