Yoon-Ah and Moonsoo first met in their teenage years and developed a deep connection in their twenties. Their love story began in high school when a mutual friend brought them together. However, like many high school sweethearts, they went their separate ways when life took them to different places. “A random six years later, Moonsoo got in touch with me, and the first question he asked me was, “You’re not married yet, are you?” From there, we fell in love again,” – shared Yoon-Ah.
The wedding had an enchanting, fairytale vibe and atmosphere. Held outdoors, it was filled with lots of white flowers with touches of blue and greenery, creating a dreamy setting. The couple chose to work with photographer Maricle Kang to capture stunning photos of their special day. She beautifully captured all the special moments, including their celebration of love, heartwarming ceremony, and cherished traditions.
For Yoon-Ah’s hair and makeup, the aim was to create a contemporary yet classic style. She wanted her bridal look clean, minimal, effortless, sophisticated, and elegant. The makeup featured subtly defined eyes, long lashes, and flushed lips without overpowering the look. Her ceremony dress was simple yet striking, complemented by a veil adorned with pearls.
Moonsoo’s wedding look perfectly matched the timeless theme of the wedding. He looked stylish in a classy tuxedo with a white bow tie.
Yoon-Ah and Moonsoo’s first look was truly magical. Moonsoo couldn’t take his eyes off Yoon-Ah, who looked absolutely radiant in her elegant wedding gown. Moonsoo was captivated by his soon-to-be wife’s beauty as they prepared for their special ceremony.
The venue boasts a rich historical heritage, with remarkable architectural details and a picturesque outdoor setting. Yoon-Ah and Moonsoo aimed to have a beautiful garden wedding ceremony. As the couple exchanged vows, their guests were moved by the heartfelt speeches. It was a truly magical moment filled with love and joy.
Yoon-Ah wore a modern version of Hanbok, a traditional Korean outfit typically worn for weddings, that she bought in Korea for the reception to celebrate their culture and traditions. Instead of choosing a traditional Hanbok with long sleeves, she wore an off-shoulder Hanbok with a light floral pattern. The ensemble looked stunning and elegant on Yoon-Ah, elevating the overall aesthetic of the wedding. Moonsoo couldn’t help but smile whenever he looked at Yoon-Ah, his eyes lighting up with love and affection.
The terrace was the perfect setting for the reception, bringing the couple’s vision to life with every detail carefully coordinated. Everything came together effortlessly, from the elegant decor to the beautiful floral arrangements, to create the dreamy outdoor wedding the bride had always imagined. The simple yet sophisticated decor set the tone for the evening, while the botanical-inspired flower arrangements added a natural touch to the celebration. The all-white palette for the reception florals and decor allowed other details, such as the cake and venue, to shine brightly. With its modern yet timeless design, the invitation suite perfectly set the stage for the wedding at the historical Hycroft venue.
The reception overflowed with love and heartfelt well-wishes. “We hope the wedding will inspire other couples about a contemporary yet classic wedding that will never go out of style,” added the newlyweds.
