Selina and Nick, a charming couple from Germany, have always shared a deep love for Provence. For Selina, summers spent on the French Riviera as a child left her with an enduring love for the region’s sun-drenched charm. Over the past seven years, she’s passed that love on to Nick, together exploring hidden beaches, sailing along the coast, and savoring local wines and Tarte Tropézienne. Provence became more than just a destination for them; it became part of their story.

Location: Gard Region, South of France
Style: Elevated, timeless, touched with vintage charm
Time of planning: About 1 year
Number of guests: 70
Setting: Château de Fontarèche
Season: Summer

They chose to celebrate their wedding most authentically with an intimate gathering of about seventy loved ones. The day reflected everything that defines them: elegant yet relaxed, full of laughter, emotion, and sincerity. The ceremony, officiated by one of their closest friends, set the tone for a deeply personal celebration. Even the DJ was a longtime friend, adding another layer of meaning to the day. Every heartfelt moment was beautifully captured by the talented team at Gioia Visuals, both in photo and film.

Couple's Morning & Fashion

The inspiration for the wedding came from the timeless style of the 1960s, from Selina’s corset dress to Nick’s classic tuxedo and the timeless florals that tied it all together. Selina wore a beautiful corset-style gown with a soft, flowing veil that felt chic and understated. Her makeup was natural and fresh, perfectly complementing her look. She carried a bouquet of white dahlias, calla lilies, and green and white hydrangeas—simple, elegant, and a perfect fit for the setting. Selina finished her look with classic ivory sandals, while her bridesmaids added a touch of sunshine in butter-yellow dresses.

Getting ready surrounded by her sisters and closest friends, she was calm, radiant, and full of excitement, with a few happy tears when it all started to feel real.

Nick looked effortlessly stylish in a white tuxedo jacket, classic black trousers, and patent leather shoes, his vintage-inspired hairstyle and minimalist white calla lily boutonnière adding an understated touch. A personal detail, the couple’s initials embroidered inside his jacket, made the look even more meaningful. On the morning of the wedding, he relaxed by the pool with friends, radiating genuine happiness and excitement as the day approached.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place in front of the Château de Fontarèches, framed by lush green and white floral arrangements by Fleurs Raison filled with seasonal blooms—a setting that felt natural, refined, and beautiful. Blending modern and traditional touches, the décor echoed the Château’s timeless charm, with a white carpet lining the aisle and elegant details enhancing the romantic atmosphere.

Though the ceremony lasted just about 30 minutes, it was heartfelt and deeply personal. Selina and Nick exchanged their vows surrounded by their closest friends and family, their emotions shining through every glance and word. The intimate setting was exactly what they had imagined—warm, genuine, and full of joy. As they walked back down the aisle, guests cheered and celebrated them with pure happiness, marking the perfect start to an unforgettable day.

Cocktail Hour

The cocktail hour took place in the beautiful gardens in front of the Château. Guests gathered under the afternoon sun, sipping Spritz and Champagne from a stunning fountain while enjoying delicate petits fours. Laughter, music, and the scent of fresh blooms filled the air, creating a scene straight out of a French summer dream. It was relaxed, elegant, and full of joy—the kind of moment that makes you fall in love with France all over again.

Reception & Decor

Dinner took place in the backyard, overlooking the Château, and it was pure magic. Long tables draped in crisp white linens stretched beneath the open sky, adorned with lush florals and twinkling fairy lights. The atmosphere was intimate, joyful, and full of warmth, an evening designed for laughter, love, and connection.

With only their closest family and friends, the celebration planned by Your Eco Story and coordinated by Mamma Mia Events felt like a happy little bubble filled with dancing, smiles, and one unforgettable surprise: the bride’s father serenaded the couple during dinner, and his voice was incredible. You could truly feel how loved Selina and Nick are.

To top it all off, the party carried on in a cozy stone cave nearby, complete with a candy bar and late-night dancing that lasted well into the night. It was the perfect ending to a day that felt both elegant and effortlessly fun—a true reflection of the couple’s spirit.

Advice from the couple:

Don’t stress on the day. If things don’t go exactly as planned, it doesn’t matter — the day will still be beautiful! Trust your carefully chosen team of service providers and enjoy the moment. Take a step back from time to time during the big day to take it all in and truly enjoy it together.
