High on the cliffs of Son Marroig in Mallorca, Sarah and Henri tied the knot in a celebration that was both effortless and unforgettable. With panoramic sea views, golden hour light, and an atmosphere filled with love, the day felt straight out of a dream. Every candid moment, every tear, every detail was beautifully captured by Vijo Wedding, who turned the couple’s vision into timeless memories. Intimate, modern, and deeply personal, this wedding was about creating a magical experience surrounded by the people who matter most.
Location: Mallorca, Spain
Style: Elegant & classy
Time of planning: 1,5 years
Number of guests: 50
Setting: Son Marroig Venue
Season: Summer
Sarah and Henri’s journey began 11 years ago when they met at school, and a decade later, they chose to celebrate their love with a romantic wedding on the island of Mallorca. After Henri’s beachside proposal, knowing how much Sarah loves the water, it was only fitting to say “I do” by the sea. Their wedding was everything they dreamed of: intimate, warm, and centered on what mattered most – family, close friends, and creating unforgettable memories together under the Mediterranean sun.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
For her bridal look, Sarah stayed true to a vision she had since childhood. “As a child, I drew myself in my wedding dress, and even then, it was always strapless. That’s why I ultimately chose this.” Her gown was by Brautnest, paired with the soft and elegant scent of Chloé Atelier Des Fleurs Papyrus.
Keeping her style timeless, her makeup by Always & Forever Brautstyling was completely natural, while her hair, half down and curled for volume, was also Henri’s favorite. To complete the look, she carried a romantic bouquet of lush peonies by Echtzeit Floristik, a flower she adores and the very reason she dreamed of marrying in June, when they are in full bloom.
Groom's Fashion
Henri chose a timeless beige suit that perfectly matched the Mediterranean setting. While his first thought had been a dark blue suit, Sarah quickly said “no”, and in the end, Henri agreed it would have felt too heavy and out of place against the sunlit island setting. The soft, neutral tones of his suit struck the perfect balance and were completely in harmony with their Mallorca celebration.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at the stunning Son Marroig cliffs, overlooking breathtaking views of the sea. Under clear skies, with loved ones gathered, Henri stood waiting at the altar as Sarah prepared to walk down the aisle.
"The walk down the aisle was also very special. That's the moment every girl looks forward to, and it was a really beautiful moment. The walk was long and there was plenty of time. My dad took me there, it was always my dream. I will definitely never forget that moment.”
Sarah, The Bride
“When you see your husband standing there against that breathtaking backdrop, all you can think is, ‘Wow, one and a half years of planning are over and now the time has come!” The couple wanted the ceremony to be heartfelt but not too long, especially with the summer heat. What mattered most was revisiting their story and including their parents and loved ones in the speech – and it was done so beautifully. “My husband even cried – and he never cries”, shares Sarah. For them, it was essential that the ceremony felt emotional and deeply personal.
Cocktail Hour & Moments Together
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a lively aperitif and admired the champagne tower. Laughter, smiles, and warm congratulations surrounded them as everyone celebrated their ‘I do’ and the beginning of this exciting new chapter together.
As the golden hour set in, the newlyweds had their portraits captured by the talented Vijo Wedding. They documented every moment of the celebration, preserving all the details and emotions of this unforgettable day.
Reception Decor
The timeless atmosphere was brought to life with the help of the wedding planners at From Sophie With Love and the stunning floral design by Ars Festum. Although the bride loves color, she chose an all-white palette of roses and hydrangeas, classic flowers that never go out of style. With the sea and breathtaking view, the décor was kept elegant and natural, ensuring a beauty that would feel just as timeless decades from now.
Reception
At the reception, touching speeches from parents and friends set the tone for an evening full of love and laughter. One of the most memorable highlights was the couple’s wedding dance, a beautifully choreographed moment that brought everyone to their feet and one they still love to practice together even now.
The bouquet toss followed, sparking laughter, excitement, and plenty of emotions as friends eagerly gathered to catch a piece of the bride’s happiness.
Into the Night
From there, the celebration flowed into the sweetest finale: the cutting of the wedding cake, a symbol of love and new beginnings. Sarah then changed into her chic party dress, ready to dance the night away. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the newlyweds and their guests filled the night with music, joy, and unforgettable memories that carried on until the early hours.
Advice from the couple:
• Take a moment with your husband, step back, and take it all in. Realizing that it’s your own wedding that’s taking place. And it’s important to spend plenty of time with your spouse. Because ultimately, it’s your day, and you’re not there to entertain the guests. Because it’s your day, and it’s a shame to spend the whole time apart. But my advice is definitely to take plenty of time together and also to enjoy getting ready with the girls.
• And it was always important to me to have a party dress, because I could move so much better and dance a lot.
