Nicole and Angel’s journey to the altar is a charming tale of fate and enduring love. They both attended Florida State University for their undergraduate studies, surrounded by many mutual friends. Yet, their paths never crossed until they were drawn back to the same campus for their master’s degrees. Their romantic story began unexpectedly one evening when a mutual friend of both Nicole and Angel invites him to Nicole’s apartment. This casual pregame night started a beautiful friendship that slowly became a deep and loving relationship.

Their bond strengthened over the years as they grew together personally and professionally. It was almost poetic that after eight years, they decided to tie the knot on the very anniversary of the day they first started dating—a nod to the significant beginnings and journey they had embarked on together.

The Norton Museum of Art, with its expansive gardens and unique art installations, provided a sophisticated backdrop that perfectly complemented Nicole and Angel’s love for the arts. The museum’s Great Hall, where the reception took place, boasted tall ceilings and a modern yet elegant atmosphere, creating a festive and vibrant space for the celebration.

Nicole dazzled in a stunning Ines Di Santo wedding gown paired with chic Jimmy Choo shoes and a delicate Maria Elena headpiece. Her makeup, inspired by Charlotte Tilbury’s glamorous looks, and her low bun hairstyle enhanced with a crystal and pearl headband exuded sophisticated glamour.

Angel was the epitome of style in a custom tuxedo from a Miami menswear store, complete with Cartier cuff links and Italian designer shoes.

The first look between Nicole and Angel was a tenderly poignant chapter of their wedding day, a moment frozen in time by the lens of Melannie Morfa, the couple’s wedding photographer. When Angel turned to see Nicole, the rush of emotions was palpable: admiration, love, and a touch of awe at the sight of his bride. The expression on his face spoke volumes, echoing the depth of their connection, all exquisitely captured in photographs that they will treasure for years to come.

Following their heartfelt first look, Nicole and Angel took advantage of the serene surroundings of the Norton Museum of Art, stealing away for a private stroll. Melannie Morfa skillfully documented these intimate moments as they walked hand in hand, creating stunning and stylish portraits.

The ceremony site was a vision straight from a storybook, meticulously arranged in the museum’s lush gardens. Amidst towering palms and verdant foliage, a beautifully adorned arch stood as the centerpiece, entwined with vibrant flowers and fresh greenery. Transparent chairs lined the aisle, lending the air of delicate grace to the setting, while vivid floral arrangements along the pathway immersed the guests in an enchanting garden atmosphere.

Nicole and Angel walked down the aisle with their parents, signifying their deep respect for family ties. The guests witnessed a beautiful ceremony where the couple exchanged vows of love and rings. It was a stunning and touching ceremony.

Inspired by the museum’s contemporary art and vibrant color splashes, Nicole and Angel worked closely with their florist to craft a décor palette that reflected their vision of a fairy-tale wedding. Pastel yet vibrant colors dominated the scene, with tall floral centerpieces and sweet mirrored tables adorning the reception area. Projecting the guest list on the museum’s digital wall added an innovative and enchanting personalized touch.

The reception commenced with the newlyweds’ enchanting first dance. Nicole and Angel took to the dance floor, swirling elegantly to a beautiful melody that seemed to echo their love harmoniously. As they moved in sync, lost in each other’s eyes, the guests encircled them, beholding the grace and love that radiated from the couple.

As a delightful alternative, Nicole and Angel opted out of a conventional wedding cake and provided their guests with a tower of vanilla cupcakes. Alongside the cupcake tower, slices of sumptuous vanilla cake were served, ensuring that the essence of wedding cake customs was preserved while infusing their unique flair into the celebration.

The couple’s deep appreciation for music was evident throughout their wedding day. The DJ spun unique remixes of their favorite songs, adding a personalized soundtrack to the festivities. A highlight of the evening was an LED drummer who performed alongside the DJ, bringing an electrifying energy to the celebration.

Advice from couple:

Do not stress the small stuff because everything always works out the way it’s meant to be! Put your trust in your team—they have all the experience and talent—that’s why you hired them! Allow yourself to enjoy every second—this is your day to celebrate your first day as Mr. and Mrs. with all the people you love in one room. Take in every second!
