Set in the rolling hills of Tuscany, David and Hind’s wedding at an Italian villa was a stunning blend of classic elegance and modern charm. With an intimate outdoor ceremony in the villa’s Italian gardens, a beautifully styled reception under the stars, and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, every detail felt effortless and intentional. Guided by the expertise of Giulia Alessandri, the celebration captured the essence of a timeless Italian summer—where love, family, and beauty came together in perfect harmony.

Location: Siena, Italy
Style: Elegant, relaxed, refined
Time of planning: 1,5 years
Number of guests: 86
Setting: Villa
Season: Summer

David and Hind met in Hong Kong 10 years ago, since then they have been sharing their passion for traveling, collecting memories while living in different countries. David popped the question in the beautiful vines of Burgundy, France. Having a Tuscan wedding was a dream coming true as they absolutely adore Italy and especially the picturesque countryside of Tuscany.

Bride's Look

What truly made the bride look like a princess straight out of a fairy tale was a Jesús Peiró dress with a deep V-neckline, voluminous puff sleeves, and a high waist that flowed into a soft, structured skirt. The satin fabric caught the golden Italian sunlight, adding an effortless glow to her look. She paired it with custom-made and vintage jewelry, each piece carrying a unique charm, and white-framed sunglasses—both a stylish touch and a necessity for the hot summer day.

For fragrance, she chose Christian Dior Ambre Nuit, a scent that blended elegance with warmth, perfect for the Italian setting. Her Sézane shoes, with delicate pleats and a golden hue, peeked from beneath her dress, adding a hint of vintage romance.

Trusting Samantha Pretto for hair and makeup, she went for a classic nude look, enhancing her natural beauty with soft, sun-kissed tones. Her hair was gathered into a sleek low bun, with a few delicate strands left loose to frame her face.

Her bouquet, designed by Lucacozza Flower Special Events, mirrored the vibrancy of an Italian summer, combining sky blue, baby pink, and fuchsia blooms with soft yellow accents. The loosely tied arrangement felt fresh and natural, perfectly complementing the romantic garden setting.

Groom's Fashion

The groom opted for the effortless elegance of an Italian summer in a light linen suit custom-made in Hong Kong. He paired it with a crisp white shirt and dark brown suede loafers. A boutonniere with soft blue blooms echoed the colors of the bride’s bouquet, tying their looks together. He added a silver watch and classic sunglasses, perfect for the sun-drenched setting.

His friends matched the laid-back yet refined style in light blue linen suits, creating a fresh contrast against the Tuscan landscape.

Ceremony

Set in the lush Italian gardens of Villa Catignano, the ceremony embraced the natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside. Rows of terracotta pots filled with vibrant greenery framed the aisle, leading to a historic stone alcove adorned with soft, pastel blooms. Lucacozza Flower designed the floral arrangements with a mix of sky blue, baby pink, and fuchsia flowers, weaving in warm yellow tones that mirrored the golden summer light. The scene felt intimate yet effortlessly grand, blending classic elegance with the relaxed charm of a countryside wedding.

"Everything was very special, having a small wedding at a spectacular venue and the best wedding planner anyone can wish for. Giulia made everything so seamless. "

The couple chose a non-religious wedding ceremony, making the moment deeply personal. As guests settled into their seats, the warm afternoon sun bathed the setting in a golden glow. The bride and groom exchanged vows, sharing their love and memories with their closest friends and family. After the ceremony, the celebration began with a joyful petal toss, filling the air with floating rose petals as the newlyweds walked hand in hand down the aisle, surrounded by smiles and cheers.

Private Moment

After the ceremony, David and Hind stole a quiet moment together, wandering through the gardens of the villa as the golden hour bathed the Tuscan landscape in soft light. Away from the guests, they walked hand in hand along the stone pathways, pausing to take in the beauty of the historic estate. Against the backdrop of ancient statues and manicured hedges, their embrace felt effortless—just the two of them, wrapped in the magic of the day.

Photographer Michael Cosenza masterfully framed these intimate moments, using the interplay of light and shadows to highlight the couple’s connection. From black-and-white portraits that emphasized emotion to sunlit shots where the warm hues of the bouquet and landscape blended seamlessly, every image told a story.

"We did it in the Italian gardens overlooking Sienna, and it was one of my favourite memories."

Decor & Setting

The reception was set in the charming courtyard of the villa, where long tables draped in vintage-inspired blue and white linens created an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere. Delicate floral centerpieces in soft pastels blended roses, carnations, and wildflowers. Tall, slender candles in muted blue and ivory lined the tables, casting a romantic glow as the evening unfolded. String lights crisscrossed above, illuminating the historic stone walls and ivy-covered archways, setting the perfect scene for an intimate, joyful celebration under the Tuscan sky.

"It all started with the table cloths we fell in love with. Italian print, light blue quite vintage looking and we added a touch of colours by adding colourful pastel-ey flowers and candles."

Reception

As the sun set over the Tuscan countryside, guests settled in for an evening filled with good food and heartfelt toasts. The dinner was a true celebration of Italian flavors, with fresh cheeses, perfectly aged prosciutto, and a selection of regional dishes that kept everyone savoring every bite. Glasses clinked as speeches brought laughter and emotion, creating an atmosphere that felt both intimate and lively. It was the kind of dinner where time seemed to slow down, allowing everyone to soak in the joy of the moment.

For the cake-cutting, the couple opted for a traditional millefoglie, layering crisp pastry and delicate cream. With a piping bag in hand, they decorated the final touches themselves, turning the moment into a lighthearted, shared experience. A kiss followed as they sliced into the cake, surrounded by cheers and applause.

Behind it all was the planner Giulia Alessandri, ensuring that every moment unfolded seamlessly. “Everything went super smooth, and as a bride, I felt so relaxed because I knew it was all under control,” she shared. The evening flowed effortlessly from dinner to dancing, with Giulia’s refined eye guiding every transition. Her ability to blend organization with warmth made the entire experience not just flawless but truly enjoyable for everyone.

“Honestly, it was all so perfect! Giulia's kindness is very infectious—we can’t thank her enough and recommend her enough. She’s an absolute star."

Advice from the couple:

• Choose your wedding planner wisely, I’d say having Giulia plan and execute everything was one of the best decisions ever! In our opinion, it can make or break a wedding.
