Paige, new to Dallas from Los Angeles, hosted a Cinco de Mayo party, inviting a college friend and his friends, including Colby. As the Mexican music played and the night sky sparkled, a connection between Paige and Colby ignited. Three years of love and laughter followed until Colby proposed, sealing their love story. Sometimes, love finds us in the most unexpected moments, like that fateful Cinco de Mayo night.
Colby orchestrated a breathtaking proposal in their cherished destination, Cabo San Lucas. Their connection to this place ran deep, as they had shared numerous vacations there, spending every Christmas and New Year with Colby’s family. During these holidays, they always set aside one special evening for a romantic date, just the two of them.
With Paige’s planned romantic date night at the exquisite Las Ventanas hotel, Colby seized the opportunity to pop the question without arousing any suspicions. As they sipped drinks by the beach, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun, Colby knelt before Paige, and with a heart full of love, he asked her to be his forever.
But the surprises didn’t end there. As they made their way to their dinner table, Paige was greeted by the presence of her best friends, flown in by Colby that very day. It was a night of perfect moments, a proposal filled with love and a celebration of their connection, surrounded by those who meant the most to them.
Although Paige and Colby had chosen Cabo for their wedding, Paige had always dreamed of a wedding reception with a distinct Hamptons coastal vibe. She envisioned lots of blue and white, twinkle lights, rattan lanterns, and more. Their wedding planner, Lauren Lemke of Amy Abbott Events, worked her magic, striking a perfect balance between the coastal charm Paige desired and the vibrant Mexican setting.
The stationery, beautifully crafted by Mospens Studio and Bells + Whistles Cabo, perfectly captured the essence of their style, tying together the coastal aesthetics and the Mexican spirit for a wedding that was uniquely theirs. It was a harmonious fusion of two worlds, making their wedding day reflect their love, style, and the beautiful destination they had chosen.
Adrienne Redman took charge of the bride’s hair, while Brittany Kroll, both from The Luxxe Beauty Company, worked their magic on the bride’s makeup. Paige’s vision was an elegant style that would highlight her natural beauty, and they executed it flawlessly.
As for the bridesmaids, Los Cabos Makeup ensured that each member of the bridal party looked their best, complementing the bride’s vision and creating a stunning and cohesive bridal party look. With their expertise, Paige and her bridesmaids radiated beauty and grace throughout the special day.
Paige chose a stunning Monique Lhuillier wedding gown, which looked gorgeous on her special day. Her dress was a testament to elegance and timeless beauty, enhancing her radiance and making her wedding day truly unforgettable.
The bridesmaid dresses from Misa Los Angeles came in two different, complementary colors – bright pink and pattern pink. These vibrant shades perfectly matched the colorful and blooming flower chuppah at the ceremony, creating a harmonious and picturesque backdrop that added to the day’s beauty.
The first look between Paige and her father was an emotionally charged moment, filled with love, pride, and a few tears of joy. It was a heartwarming exchange of smiles and unspoken words, a precious memory they would both treasure forever.
The wedding ceremony was a vision of beauty, with a large chuppah adorned in vibrant hot pink bougainvillea that made a bold statement. The hot pink floral arrangements behind the chairs added to the grandeur of the decor. To keep the focus on this stunning display, the bridal bouquets were kept elegantly simple in all white. The magical touch of Luca from Aria Vera Floral Design made this day even more unique and unforgettable, elevating the floral arrangements to an art form that perfectly complemented the love and beauty of the moment.
Their love for Cabo and the countless cherished memories made there, both with each other and their loved ones, made it the ideal place for them to say their vows. However, their journey to finding the perfect venue had a few twists. Initially, they had booked another hotel, but halfway through their planning, the hotel unexpectedly closed its doors for good.
Fortunately, their amazing wedding planner Lauren Lemke of Amy Abbott Events came to the rescue, guiding them to the stunning Montage hotel. Coincidentally, it was at the Montage where they had attended the grand opening party three years prior, sharing a magical evening dancing under the stars and watching the band Kilometro FUN perform. Little did they know that three years later, they would return to the same Ocean lawn where their love story truly began, walking down the aisle to say “I do.” It felt like fate had come full circle, and their wedding day at the Montage was destined to be a celebration of their love.
One of the most cherished moments of their wedding day was the exchange of vows. They had both written their heartfelt vows, and Paige, in particular, underestimated how emotional the moment would be. As she began to speak, her voice quivered, and tears welled up in her eyes. Yet, she gathered her strength and continued, realizing that most of their friends and family were also moved to tears by their words.
Colby’s vows struck the perfect balance between sweetness and humor, eliciting laughter and tears from the crowd. It was a beautiful mix of emotions, a true reflection of their love and shared bond.
For Paige, standing under the Chuppah with her parents, even though it was a new concept, felt incredibly special. It was a poignant symbol of the start of her life with her husband, surrounded by the people who meant the most to her. This moment under the Chuppah was a testament to the joining of two families and the beginning of their journey as a married couple.
The groomsmen added a pop of color to their crisp linen suits with hot pink boutonnieres, adding a touch of vibrancy to the overall look. The fun and lively bridesmaids’ dresses beautifully complemented the color scheme. With the chuppah and boutonnieres, everything came together seamlessly, creating a harmonious and striking visual theme for the wedding.

The reception was a vision of elegance with a blue and white color scheme. The tables were adorned with blue and white florals, and the soft glow of candlelight added to the romantic ambiance. A magnificent five-tier white wedding cake was adorned with matching blue and white flowers, creating a seamless integration of the color theme.
From the patterned dance floor and stage to the floral arrangements and the cake, everything was meticulously coordinated in shades of blue and white, offering a harmonious and visually stunning atmosphere. Del Cabo Event Design played a pivotal role in providing the furniture that complemented this color scheme, adding a touch of sophistication and creating a cohesive and memorable setting for the reception.
As Mr. and Mrs. Ray, Paige and Colby shared a magical first dance that would be etched in their hearts forever. The soft notes of Aerosmith’s “Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing” filled the air, and it seemed like time stood still. Everyone rose from their seats, drawn to the dance floor, and began to sing along in unison.
As the song reached its powerful chorus, cold fireworks burst to life around the dance floor, showering the couple with a mesmerizing display of light and creating a moment of pure enchantment. The crowd erupted in cheers, their smiles and joy reflecting the love and happiness that surrounded Paige and Colby.
It was a truly romantic and extraordinary moment, filled with the warmth of their friends and family, who had gathered to celebrate their love and happiness. The first dance was a beautiful testament to the love they shared and the memories they were creating together.
The wedding reception featured a magnificent five-tier white wedding cake, adorned with flowers in the same color scheme as the overall décor. The florist skillfully covered the tiers with matching blue and white blooms, seamlessly integrating the cake into the elegant and harmonious design of the entire celebration. It was a stunning centerpiece, both visually captivating and a delicious delight for all in attendance.
The biggest splurge of their wedding was undoubtedly the after-party. The reception, elegant and enchanting, featured the live band Kilometro, and the night was filled with music and celebration. At 10:30, as the party was in full swing, everyone was given club sparklers, and cold fireworks illuminated the dance floor, creating a magical atmosphere.
But the real surprise came when the planners threw open the doors to a hidden ballroom, completely transformed into a nightclub. The space was equipped with a DJ, a well-stocked bar, an LED dance floor, and disco balls, not to mention a neon sign that read ‘What Happens in Cabo.’ It was an unexpected and delightful surprise for the guests, taking the celebration to a new level.
As the night continued, Paige and Colby found themselves on stage with the band, dancing and enjoying every moment. The joy was infectious, with their friends and family having a fantastic time. At one point, they even took the bold step of stage diving, with Paige still in her wedding dress!
For the late-night festivities, Paige changed into a vintage sequin mini-party dress and had her hair put up in a ponytail. The atmosphere in the nightclub was electric, with everyone letting loose. The party transformed into a music festival, with people dancing, some even shirtless, and mini breakfast burritos and pizza being passed around. The celebration continued late into the night, creating unforgettable memories for everyone in attendance.
‘From getting ready for the ceremony to the reception, the day was exactly how I dreamed it would be: effortless, filled with love, and the most fun I could have ever imagined.
Planning a wedding is an excellent test to see how a couple gets through stressful moments. As any bride knows, there are always things that will go wrong (like your venue permanently closing), but it is how you and your partner handle it together that matters. Colby was so patient when I was stressed, and it showed me how great of a husband he would be. Looking back, you realize how silly the things you stressed over are and that no matter what goes wrong, when you’re marrying the person you love, it will be the best day of your life.’
