A Snow-Kissed “I Do” in the Mountains

Taylor and Harrison’s winter wedding in Park City was all about creating a day that felt deeply personal, one that reflected their love story, their style, and their shared passion for skiing. Tossing out the traditional rulebook, they crafted a celebration that was equal parts intimate, joyful, and refreshingly their own. From mountaintop to dance floor, every moment was filled with meaning, fun, and love.

Location: Park City, Utah, USA
Style: Warm, modern, elegant
Time of planning: 9 months
Number of guests: 100
Setting: Ceremony – ski resort hotel, reception – restaurant
Season: Winter

Taylor and Harrison’s story began at the University of Denver, where a chance encounter at a house party sparked something unforgettable. Taylor was a sophomore, Harrison a junior, and the moment he saw her, he knew he had to say hello. Nine years later, that spark was still burning strong. While vacationing in Santa Barbara, Harrison planned a dreamy sunset bike ride to Butterfly Beach. There, with the waves whispering in the background and the sky painted in gold, he asked Taylor to spend forever with him.

Welcome Day

The couple kicked off their wedding weekend with an unforgettable welcome day in the snowy wonderland of Deer Valley Resort. Wanting something lively and personal, they planned a full ski weekend for their guests, a chance not only to gather everyone in one place but to share an experience that was pure fun from the start.

They hit the slopes together, surrounded by friends and family, with plenty of laughs and spirited energy. Before the dinner at the Courchevel Bistro, the group gathered for après-ski at the bottom of the hill, where they toasted the weekend with Aperol Spritzes in hand, basking in the mountain sun.

Wedding Day

Bride's Look

Taylor opted for Danielle Frankel gown, a sleek silhouette with graceful long sleeves and a soft sheen that caught the light beautifully. Together with the dreamy gown, the bride wore a pair of elegant Jimmy Choo heels, classic pointed toes decorated with bold, crystal-embellished buckles that added just the right amount of winter sparkle.

Tatum Wetzel styled Taylor’s hair in a loose, romantic bun, allowing a few delicate strands to frame her face, and the makeup by Makeup by Cherisa was kept natural and understated, just enough to highlight Taylor’s features without overpowering the look. The bridesmaids wore a gorgeous array of earth-toned satin gowns, each one unique yet harmoniously coordinated. The soft, flowing fabrics and muted palette let Taylor shine at the center while still feeling like part of a beautifully curated ensemble.

For the finishing touches, the bride kept her accessories minimal, choosing delicate drop earrings that added a subtle hint of shimmer without distracting from the gown’s striking open back. Her bouquet of crisp white blooms was inspired by the chilly winter itself.

Groom's Fashion

Harrison wore a custom Atelier Munro suit, tailored to perfection in a soft blue tone. Paired with a crisp white shirt, a textured tie, and brown shoes, his look was polished yet relaxed. As he got ready with a quiet smile, he radiated one thing above all, pure excitement for the day ahead.

First Look

The couple’s first look was nothing short of electric. They met on a staircase, Taylor walking down with a radiant smile, her gown catching the light with every step, while Harrison’s eyes were fixed only on her. When they reached each other, time seemed to pause as they shared a warm embrace and a kiss that said everything their hearts were feeling.

Seconds later, their beloved dog, Poppy, hurried up to join the moment, tail wagging and dressed for the occasion with a charming blue bow. The couple’s joy was beautifully captured by Tippy Jordan, who shared in the magic of the moment, snapping heartfelt visuals as the day unfolded. Throughout the entire celebration, the photographer masterfully conveyed the dreamy essence of a winter wedding, each image as unique and captivating as the snowflakes falling outside, preserving every emotion with warmth and artistry.

Ceremony

The Goldener Hirsch Auberge hall became a serene dream with the help of Canvas Weddings and Events. The space, elegant and intimate, with snow-covered trees visible through tall windows that framed the scene like a painting, brought the winter theme seamlessly indoors. Lush arrangements, created by Urban Chateau Floral, featuring white blooms, leafy branches, and soft greenery echoed the landscape outside. The aisle was lined with organic floral installations, creating a natural, forest-like path that felt both magical and romantic.

The ceremony unfolded in the evening, as the snow gently fell outside, adding a storybook charm to the already magical setting. Taylor and Harrison envisioned something intimate and meaningful, choosing simplicity over formality, and it was perfect. Tribeca Ensemble, a string quartet, played soft prelude music, filling the space with warmth as guests settled in.

Adding to the deeply personal atmosphere, Taylor’s sister, Kenzie, officiated the ceremony. Her words weren’t pulled from a script, but straight from the heart, funny, moving, and perfectly tailored to the couple. Every line reflected their unique bond and love story, making the moment unforgettable. After exchanging the vows, Taylor and Harrison walked hand in hand down the aisle, beaming with joy and soaking in the cheers of their loved ones.

Reception

The reception took place at the High West Saloon, a cozy, character-filled venue that perfectly suited Taylor and Harrison’s vision for a relaxed celebration. The couple chose not to have a formal seated dinner. Still, the decor reflected Taylor and Harrison’s refined taste, with lace runners draped across cocktail tables, vintage candlesticks, and elegant crystal glassware. Matte slate-blue plates and gold flatware added a sophisticated touch, while ski resort-themed illustrations on the menus by Maizie Clark gave each setting a personal feel.

The evening kicked off with heartfelt speeches that had guests laughing one moment and tearing up the next, setting the tone for a night full of emotion and celebration. Taylor and Harrison then took to the dance floor for an unforgettable first dance, moving effortlessly together under the warm, dim glow of the saloon lights. The couple looked absolutely radiant, their joy shining brighter than any spotlight. Guests gathered around, clinking glasses and swaying to the music.

The wedding cake by Granite Bakery was a simple yet stunning two-tiered dessert, finished with smooth white frosting and decorated with delicate, cascading blooms that echoed Taylor’s bouquet. The couple shared a sweet kiss as they cut the first slice, a happiness-filled moment that felt straight out of a movie.

The live band Jake and Heist brought incredible energy to the room, playing a mix of smooth tunes and lively hits that kept spirits high and the dance floor full. Their sound added the perfect rhythm to the night, turning every moment into a celebration.

For the afterparty, Taylor changed into a dazzling sequin slip dress that shimmered playfully, paired with a feathered jacket. The look was glamorous and fun, perfect for dancing the night away. As snowflakes fell softly outside and the last songs played, the couple stole one final kiss under the stars. It was a night filled with joy and unforgettable moments, an ending as magical as the beginning.
