A Sicily Wedding Weekend Built on Surprise and Style

Featured Members

Set in Sicily, this wedding weekend was designed as a full experience instead of a single-day celebration. From Taormina to Noto, each location introduced a new atmosphere, building excitement with every step, including a venue reveal kept secret until the very last moment. Planned and brought to life by the team at SPARX Wedding, the entire concept moved with intention, balancing bold ideas with a natural flow that kept guests fully immersed. It felt more like a journey, layered, unexpected, and completely unforgettable.

Location: Taormina & Noto, Sicily
Style: Electric, bold, colorful
Time of planning: Around 1 year
Number of guests: 98
Setting: Estate
Season: Summer

A modern love story that begins in Hollywood, more specifically, at a pool party tucked into the winding hills above the city. Luga, founder of London Alley, a Los Angeles–based production company, and Madison, who represents an international clothing brand in the U.S., actually crossed paths twice through mutual friends, only remembering the second time. It was a holiday weekend, a poolside setting high above the city, where something about the moment stayed.

That second meeting quickly turned into a first date when Luga casually convinced Madison to “swing by” a shoot he had in Malibu. What was meant to be a quick stop turned into hours watching the sunset at Soho Malibu, followed by spontaneous weekends in Palm Springs and a quiet realization that this might be something more. A few years later, Luga planned the ultimate surprise, transforming Mr. Parker’s into an intimate setting for a proposal in April 2024.

Planning & Welcome Party

The couple wanted to take their guests on a full journey, so the celebration extended far beyond the wedding day itself. It unfolded over five days, beginning with three days in Taormina before a complete shift to the streets of Noto for a dinner the night before the wedding. Even the venue was kept a surprise, ensuring that every moment felt unexpected and immersive, with guests discovering each part of the experience as it happened. Brought to life by the team at SPARX Wedding, the entire concept was executed effortlessly, turning their vision into something truly unforgettable.

Photographers at Arabella Wedding Photos and videographers at Handcraft Pictures captured the entire experience with a natural, cinematic feel, from the welcome dinner to the most meaningful moments of the wedding day, holding onto the atmosphere and emotion of every moment.

Bride's Morning & Fashion

For the ceremony, Madison wore a custom Elly Sofocli gown, a modern take on a classic princess silhouette that felt both timeless and fresh. She complemented it with Jimmy Choo shoes, while her earrings were custom-made by Ambrosia Jewelry, a small business based in Nebraska, adding a personal touch. Her fragrance of choice, Le Labo Santal 33, completed the look.

For beauty, Madison wanted to feel like herself, just elevated, opting for clean, glowing makeup by Frankie Falkingham from the UK, while doing her own hair. She carried a bouquet of pink peonies, a meaningful nod to her great-grandmother’s favorite flower. “It felt surreal,” she shares, even recalling how she practically ran down the aisle.

Groom's Fashion

For the ceremony, the groom wore a custom Tom Ford suit, a choice that, as they joke, came naturally once they were already deep into the fitting process. He wore it with Ferragamo shoes, later switching into Travis Scott x Jordan sneakers for a more relaxed, personal touch. His jewelry carried special meaning, including a custom pendant by Ambrosia Jewelry made from a meteorite, a gift from Madison on the day of the wedding. Even his cufflinks came with a story, after losing an eBay bidding war, Madison ended up purchasing them at full price, making them a small but memorable detail of the day.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place on a floating platform overlooking the Sicilian countryside, framed by cascading florals and guest seating set along the water’s edge, cinematic yet intimate at the same time. The couple was married by a longtime friend who also happened to be the reason they met, making it feel like a full-circle moment.

They wanted the ceremony to feel personal while still honoring tradition, so they wrote and read their own vows. One of their favorite details was how the moment came together, guests stood as Luga walked down the aisle and only sat once Madison made her entrance. “I loved being able to see him already waiting for me,” Madison shares. “It made everything feel even more emotional, and a little surreal.”

They chose to skip a first look, saving the reveal for the ceremony itself, which made the moment feel even more heightened. The ceremony lasted around 30 minutes, followed by the wedding party and family photos on the floating platform as the light began to shift. A string quartet played modern songs throughout, many of which Luga had worked on over the years, adding a subtle, personal touch to the soundtrack.

Reception Decor

The wedding day concept was built around a color evolution, with each part of the evening introducing a new mood. Waiting below were two sweeping curved tables draped in navy velvet, layered with colorful florals, and set under a canopy of string lights. Luga even designed the menus himself, drawing inspiration from one of their favorite restaurants, Carbone.

Dinner became the creative anchor of the entire design. Madison’s request was simple: “So many candles you could see them from space.” Luga’s was a little more unexpected, a string quartet playing Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar during dinner. Nearly every idea started with, “This might sound crazy, but…,” and the team at SPARX Wedding was right there to bring it to life.

Reception

As guests made their way to dinner, they were greeted by a wall of custom tambourines displaying their seating assignments, setting the tone with a playful, slightly chaotic twist. From there, a candlelit staircase, glowing almost like a runway, guided them down into the main yard. At the bottom, a mirrored installation featuring “5.25.25” became an instant photo moment, giving everyone a chance to take their own signature “Madison Mirror Selfie.”

For Luga, one of the most memorable moments came as they entered the reception. “Seeing everyone already seated, glowing under the lights around Madison’s custom tables, something we had been planning for a year, it was one of those moments where you realize, we actually pulled this off,” he shares. Throughout dinner, the string quartet carried the energy, weaving in modern hits that created those familiar, unexpected moments, all unfolding alongside heartfelt speeches from friends and family.

Into The Night

After dinner, the party moved to the gold dance floor, and from that moment on, no one slowed down. The energy carried from open-air dancing into a surprise indoor afterparty, where an international DJ kept the pace high and the room full.

The newlyweds closed the night their way, with a hookah lounge and a late-night pizza cart waiting at the end. It was the perfect final note, relaxed, a little unexpected, and exactly what everyone needed by 3 am.

Advice from the couple:

• Don’t be afraid to make it your own – lean into the crazy ideas. Be in the moment together.

Create an environment where your guests feel comfortable celebrating with you.
