Renee and Mark had their hearts set on the picturesque Lake Como as their wedding destination, and with a small guest list, the Mandarin Oriental was the obvious choice. The greenhouse, with its romantic and timeless atmosphere overlooking the lake, provided the perfect setting for the couple’s celebration. It was classic and upscale yet comfortable, allowing Renee and Mark to enjoy their special day surrounded by their closest loved ones.
Ema Giangreco, wedding planner:
“Renee was the epitome of a dream bride for every wedding planner – radiating beauty both inside and out, with a gentle and kind demeanor that exuded elegance. With such impeccable taste and attention to detail, it was imperative that her wedding was a reflection of her personal style.
To maintain the organic feel of the greenhouse, we added hanging ivy throughout the room, especially atop the long table. The color scheme incorporated green with white, ivory, and silver accents. The invitation suite was a sophisticated collaboration between Renee and myself, and it was one of the most exciting projects we worked on together.
The ceremony took place in the Mandarin Oriental’s garden, beneath a stunning tree that offered a breathtaking view of the lake. As Renee walked down the aisle in her Galia Lahav wedding gown, she looked positively radiant. The white flowers and simple half arch framing the couple during their vows added to the beauty and elegance of the moment.”
“But it’s true, you can fall in love with people’s souls. With people’s gestures, hearts and morals. With people’s smiles and with people’s minds – without exchanging a single kiss, and without exchanging a single word.”
“The best gifts in the world are not in the material objects one can buy from the store, but in the memories we make with the people we love.”
From the Bride: “Ema, our wedding planner, was the key to make sure our wedding day was seamless. From the invitations to the day after the wedding boat tour, Ema was a huge element in making sure everything was running smoothly and a voice for us in Italy when we couldn’t be there, as we were planning 100% remotely from the United States. She helped finding vendors, such as the makeup artist, photographers, rental company, music and florist, who were all an amazing additions to our day. The venue, the beautiful loction, the planning that went behind it all, our wedding was a success is so many ways. A day we will talk about forever!!!”
