Max and Scott’s love story began with a digital connection, and their journey to forever love was filled with twists and turns. After canceling their first date due to a business trip, they serendipitously reunited at a party and instantly knew they were meant for each other.
The picturesque location for their wedding was Isla Holbox, Quintana Roo, Mexico, where they chose to exchange their vows on a beautiful beach in the winter season. They reserved the entire Las Nubes de Holbox hotel for their guests, creating a private and intimate weekend. They chose Diana Romo Weddings to ensure that every aspect of the wedding was thoughtfully curated.
Diana Romo recalls the enchanting journey of planning Max and Scott’s wedding: “Holbox is a magical place, is a secluded Caribbean island in Mexico. When I first met Max and Scott, they told me they wanted to marry in Beautiful Holbox. I did not hesitate for one second. Design-wise, having a stylish couple from West Hollywood, I knew It would be unique. And boy, it did not disappoint. We based the color palette on the island colors, the sunset, flamingos, white sand, and natural beauty.”
The morning of the wedding unfolded in a beautiful and friendly atmosphere. Max and Scott had the opportunity to chat with their friends and then change into their wedding attire. Both grooms, Max and Scott, opted for white linen suits for the ceremony. Scott wore a custom linen herringbone suit from Suitsupply, while Max donned a double-breasted look from Banana Republic. Later in the evening, they changed into attire from Valentino and Salt Murphy for a night of beachside dancing.
The first look was such a sweet moment. The anticipation until their gazes finally met. And then, nothing but joy and love.
The vision for their wedding was meticulously crafted through collaborations with wedding planner Diana Romo Weddings and the groom, Max, who is a designer. They drew inspiration from Max’s preferred vibes and colors, resulting in a luxurious experience at Las Nubes Beach Club and Hotel, where the lush jungle meets the serene sea. The color palette transitioned from soft, neutral tones to rich, warm colors as the wedding day progressed.
The wedding ceremony took place on the beach, bathed in golden sunlight, creating a particularly romantic atmosphere. Both grooms walked hand in hand with their beloved mothers.
The moment when Max and Scott exchanged their wedding vows left no one untouched. It was a touching and special moment of the union of two hearts.
The wedding’s color palette, meticulously designed by Diana Romo and brought to life by Floweriize‘s florals, played a pivotal role in setting the mood. Blush and natural tones marked the ceremony, gradually transitioning to rich ochres, oranges, and reds for the dinner and reception. Modern bohemian décor from Minimal 4.0, along with signs and stationery by Modern Social, complemented the theme perfectly.
So many wonderful words were spoken in praise of the newlyweds during the wedding reception. There were moments when it was impossible to hold back tears, as the congratulations were incredibly touching.
While working on their design, the inspiration was the incredible sunsets of Holbox, natural textures, and local touches; as the night progressed, the color palette got darker, finishing in a hand-painted dance floor designed a fire show and the best party led by the amazing DJ Funky Mustacho.
The first dance was a beautiful culmination of this wonderful evening.
The reception came alive with DJ Alessio (Funky Mustacho), fire dancers, and a custom dance floor, resulting in an unforgettable weekend. Diana describes planning Max and Scott’s wedding as a dream come true and extends her gratitude to LuxArt Photography and Frame Wedding Films for capturing the day perfectly.
The wedding cake was also adorned with flowers, just like the rest of the wedding, fitting perfectly into the surrounding aesthetics.
Also, here is their fabulous review:
Diana Romo and her team made our dreams come true for our wedding. She exceeded our expectations and made the most memorable, beautiful time for us and our guests. Her energy is so infectious, positive, and joyful that just having her around to show us the way was worth it in and of itself. Diana was organized, in control, creative, and professional, and they brought so many beautiful ideas to the table and made them a reality. We had our wedding on a remote island, which could have proven challenging to arrange. Still, Diana came through with fantastic vendors, organized special surprise performances for our guests, and quickly got our wedding guests to and from the island. I could not recommend her enough and could never imagine having such an incredible, stress-free, joyful wedding day and week. We cannot wait to renew our vows in a few years so we can do it again with Diana Romo and her team! Thank you, Diana!
Advice from the couple:
• The best advice we can give is to hire a wedding planner! Diana Romo and her team made the wedding planning process easy, stress-free, incredibly fun, and joyful. Diana created a luxurious and one-of-a-kind experience for our guests. She went above and beyond, including helping everyone get to a tiny remote island without cars for the wedding. Many of our friends and family have told us this was the best wedding they have ever been to, and though we are biased, we have to agree!
