Christy and Brian tied the knot in a celebration unique to their love story. They met through their work in San Francisco. Initially, their relationship was purely professional, but it transformed into a romantic one after they attended a mutual friend’s wedding in 2012.
Embracing their opposing personalities, they learned a lot from each other. The lovebirds have created a harmonious partnership, personally and professionally, as seen in their joint venture, LOHO Bride. It’s a bridal store in California known for its unique, non-traditional bridal styles, where Christy is the owner and Brian is the co-founder. The couple’s weekend-long wedding reflected their individual tastes and the ethos of LOHO Bride.
The wedding took place at the Frederick Loewe Estate in Palm Springs. It’s a favorite getaway for the couple, where the warm weather and chic ambiance perfectly align with their vision. Inspired by the Midcentury Modern aesthetic, the venue required minimal decoration, setting the tone for a stylish and elegant celebration.
The bride’s getting ready was effortlessly stylish and undoubtedly one of the most elegant we’ve witnessed. Flowing robes in neutral hues, white anthuriums nestled amidst lush leaves, and the cozy ambiance, blended upholstered furniture, glass elements, and warm wood accents.
Christy wore multiple dresses from different designers throughout the wedding. Her choices included three dresses by Toni Maticevski, a gown by Odylyne for the reception, and a final outfit by Houghton for the afterparty. She effortlessly blended various styles and showcased unconventional bridal fashion. Each dress complimented the different parts of the wedding. Her low chignon, styled by Christine Symond, and her natural makeup by Jen Tioseco perfectly accentuated her elegance and the modern vibe of the wedding.
Brian complemented the theme in a Ralph Lauren Purple Label tuxedo and Gucci boots.
The day began with a heartfelt first look between Christy and Brian, capturing the genuine emotions before the ceremony.
The couple’s union was sealed with love, witnessed by their closest friends and family in a minimalist setting that effortlessly blended personal and professional elements. The surprise gospel choir, performing ‘Oh Happy Day,’ added a touch of joy and celebration, making the ceremony a memorable and harmonious start to their life together.
After the ceremony the bride changed her dress to unconventional yellow dress and the couple had a stylish and elegant photo session together.
The reception stood out with sophisticated decor and long tables adorned with floral arrangements matching the minimalist and earthy aesthetic of the venue, with a focus on complementing the natural beauty of the Palm Springs landscape. The use of solar-powered light balls added a modern and whimsical touch.
The couple’s first dance was to Charles Bradley’s ‘Loving You Baby’, a song with personal significance to them.
Another interesting detail is that instead of a wedding cake, the couple opted for mochi ice cream, emphasizing their desire to break from tradition.
As the day drew to a close, Christy and Brian’s celebration transitioned into an intimate evening, filled with warmth and joy. Surrounded by the glow of Palm Springs, the couple and their guests enjoyed the final moments of their weekend-long affair.
