David and Julieta first crossed paths at a friend’s birthday celebration in Rosedale. Their chance meeting sparked a connection that blossomed into a second date on Ossington and a romantic journey of life together. After the engagement, they decided to celebrate their wedding on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.

Sasha Somsonova skillfully used light to capture their wedding day, creating a timeless feel in her photographs. Each image tells a story filled with emotion and the beauty of the setting. Her work stands out for its clarity and soft colors and encapsulates the joy of the couple and their guests.

The wedding weekend started with Mexican culture and seaside festivities, featuring Giant puppets, a neon-lit Prehispanic show, and a live churro station. Julieta and David ensured their guests enjoyed every moment with events like a sunset catamaran trip, complete with a DJ, snacks, an open bar, and water sports.

On the big day, Teitiare Estate, a private luxury home surrounded by natural jungle, greeted the guests with Julieta and David’s favorite drinks by the beach while the couple was getting ready.

For the wedding ceremony, the bride wore a “Glenda” dress by Calla Blanche featuring detailed lacework. She paired it with a simple white flower bouquet, capturing the timeless wedding style that she was aiming for.

The groom chose a grey Armani suit paired with a white shirt. His attire was effortlessly stylish and perfect for a beachfront wedding look.

The short and sweet wedding ceremony was held on the beach in front of the ocean. Guests shaded themselves with elegant white umbrellas as the couple exchanged vows. The celebration continued with a lively cocktail hour featuring a live Mariachi band.

Julieta’s vision for a warm and romantic atmosphere at the reception came to life with three long white tables, hosting all 108 guests under a canopy of string lights and tiki torches on the beach. A tequila wall served as the seating arrangement, and the custom-made blown-glass tequila shots were the favors for the guests.

As the sun was setting down, the bride and groom took a quiet moment by the sea, with just the sound of the waves and the warm evening light around them. It was a peaceful and happy break from their busy day, reflecting the start of their life together.

The evening was alive with festivities, from heartfelt speeches to the couple’s first dance, all set under palm trees and strings of lights, with a dazzling disco ball overhead, cold sparklers, and the comfort of a beachside bonfire. The bride, glowing in her flowing PatBO dress, danced to the tunes of a live violinist on the dance floor.

The celebration continued the next day with a brunch and a spirited pool party, extending the joyous occasion.
