Yasmin and Amir’s love story began seven years ago during their final year at university. Yasmin had decided to take a break from the dance society to focus on something more academic and joined the board of the society called Enactus, where Amir was the Student President. Their paths crossed frequently through this society and at various social events, where they laughed and enjoyed each other’s company. What started as a friendship quickly blossomed into something more, and a few months later, they began dating.
Although they initially thought their relationship might fade after university, here they are, seven years later, still deeply in love. Yasmin was immediately drawn to Amir’s beautiful eyes and the smile that could light up any room. Reflecting on his feelings, Amir shares, “I was drawn to Yasmin’s charming personality and her beautiful eyes. I was always happy in her presence; she made life’s stresses go away and made me a better person.” Their connection only grew stronger over time, and two years ago, they moved in together just after getting engaged.
Their wedding wishes were shaped by countless hours spent exploring Pinterest, dreaming of a celebration that would be both unique and deeply personal. Together with their wedding planner at Villa Taj, they envisioned a multi-day wedding where each day would stand out with different decorations and outfits, ensuring every moment was memorable. They wanted more than just a beautiful venue—they sought a location that would bring Amir’s Moroccan heritage to life, nestled in a spot with stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. Their hearts were set on Morocco, where Amir’s family could join them in the celebration. Above all, they longed to create an atmosphere where every guest could feel the joy and share in their love, with plenty of time to connect and savor the experience.
Day 1 - Pre-Wedding Day
The first day was a welcome dinner inspired by the enchanting theme of Arabian Nights. With Amir being half Moroccan, it was important for them to celebrate his heritage, especially in the heart of Marrakesh. Local Moroccan musicians set the tone for the evening, playing as guests arrived. Amir and Yasmin stepped into a beautifully lit tent, where soft candlelight and twinkling lights created the illusion of a starlit night sky, capturing the magic of the moment.
Beyond the breathtaking venue design, the couple added special touches to delight their guests. Embracing the Arabian Nights and Aladdin theme, they introduced a mocktail called “Genie in a Bottle.” Each guest received a small, personalized bottle with their name written in Arabic. Accompanied by magical instructions, guests were invited to make three wishes before sipping the blue glitter potion to make it come true.
Yasmin and Amir put great thought into ensuring their outfits perfectly complemented the themes of their three-day wedding celebration. For the welcome dinner, Yasmin embraced the Arabian Nights theme with a touch of glamour. She chose a stunning dress from Forever Love and Friends, pairing it with moon and star-themed jewelry to reflect her middle name, Leyla, which means “night sky” in Arabic. To honor her South Asian heritage, she also had her Mehndi done the night before the events began. On the other hand, Amir opted for a black velvet suit, accentuated by a Moroccan printed pocket square—an idea inspired by Yasmin—and balanced the look with white linen trousers. Their outfits embodied the theme and highlighted their cultural roots and personal styles.
Day 2 - Wedding Day
Couple's Morning
The wedding morning started beautifully, with Yasmin and Amir surrounded by their loved ones. Yasmin thoughtfully chose her ceremony outfit to reflect both her English and South Asian heritage, blending tradition and elegance. She selected a stunning skirt and collaborated with the team at Frontier Rass to design an Indian-inspired top that perfectly matched the soft pink and cream theme of the day, creating a meaningful and stylish look.
Yasmin’s bridesmaids were all smiles and excitement as she stepped into view, holding her bouquet. Their reactions were filled with love and joy, capturing the perfect moment of friendship and excitement before the ceremony.
Amir was inspired by the classic style of James Bond in Skyfall, where Bond wears a white tuxedo. He wore for an all-white linen double-breasted suit, pairing it with a khaki linen shirt for a fresh, modern twist on the iconic look.
Ceremony
The ceremony space was a stunning reflection of a boho vibe, blending with the pink and cream tones of Yasmin’s Indian Lehenga. Cascading floral arrangements and delicate drapes created a dreamy, ethereal ambiance, while the artful placement of pampas grass added a touch of natural elegance and texture to the setting. The thoughtful decor tied everything together, making the space feel both intimate and enchanting.
The ceremony was deeply moving, bringing many to tears as Yasmin and Amir exchanged their heartfelt vows. Tobi Films captured the beauty and emotion of the moment, weaving it into a love story on film that perfectly reflected the depth of their love and connection.
We were both so nervous about walking down the aisle in front of all of our guests that we forgot to ask my maid of honor (my sister) to bring Amir’s ring too. So when we had to do the ring exchange, we quickly realized that Amir’s ring was still in my room.
Yasmin, The Bride
Fortunately, Amir was already wearing a gold ring that Yasmin had given him after they got engaged. Originally, Amir thought Yasmin was joking when she mentioned that women typically get two rings—an engagement ring and a wedding ring—so she thought it would be fitting for him to have two as well. They quickly used that ring during the ceremony without drawing attention and discreetly swapped it out before their photos were taken. As the ceremony finished, Yasmin and Amir walked down the aisle, beaming with joy as their guests showered them with petals.
Moment Alone
Right after the ceremony, the newlyweds were thrilled to steal a few moments together, soaking in the joy of finally becoming husband and wife. In the picturesque surroundings, the photographers at Klassen Weddings beautifully captured their love and happiness, preserving those special emotions in every frame.
Cocktail Hour
The entire celebration took place at a stunning villa set towards the desert in Marrakesh, offering breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains. With all of their friends and cousins staying at the villa, it felt like one big holiday surrounded by their favorite people. The couple wanted to create an unforgettable atmosphere, and one of their must-haves was the inclusion of a saxophone, which added a lively and soulful touch to the cocktail hour. As guests sipped on their drinks, the sound of the saxophone filled the air, enhancing the joy and celebration shared among close friends and family. The picturesque setting, combined with the music and laughter, made the day feel truly magical and unforgettable.
The sunset views on the rooftop while the saxophonist played was one of the most beautiful things you could experience.

Reception Décor
The reception decor was a stunning fusion of elegance and natural charm, with every detail thoughtfully chosen to reflect the couple’s vision. The tables were dressed in delicate floral arrangements, featuring soft pink and coral roses that brought a fresh vibrancy to the space. Pampas grass added a whimsical, bohemian touch, blending beautifully with olive green, cream, and gold earthy tones. The mirrored chargers and gold flatware lent a touch of sophistication, while the woven chairs and overhead wicker lanterns added a rustic, cozy feel.
Reception
For the reception night, Yasmin changed into a stunning pink and cream Lehenga by the Indian designer Payal Keyal, selected from Nikaza Couture. Yasmin had always admired Payal Keyal’s work, and when she tried on this particular outfit, she knew it was perfect. The moment she slipped it on, she felt like an Indian princess and knew instantly that it was the one. What made it even more special was that it was the only outfit that she, her mother, and her sister all fell in love with together.
Yasmin and Amir were surrounded by their dearest friends and family, who were overjoyed to be part of their special day. The reception was alive with laughter and conversation as friends and cousins mingled effortlessly, their positive vibes filling the space with warmth and happiness.
The newlyweds infused their evening celebration with personal and unforgettable touches. The entertainment started with a mesmerizing fire-breathing performance that left guests in awe, followed by a dynamic drum show that brought everyone to their feet. As friends and family gathered around the beautifully lit pool, the atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, music, and the warmth of loved ones.
As the night unfolded under the Moroccan stars, the cake-cutting ceremony became a moment of pure joy for the newlyweds. The elegant, white, four-tiered cake stood as a centerpiece, adorned with delicate floral details and a classic design that echoed the sophistication of the evening.
The night ended on a high note, with everyone hitting the dance floor, laughter and joy echoing in the air. Friends and family danced the night away in celebration, while the couple led the fun with carefree moves and beaming smiles. It was the perfect finale of a magical evening, filled with unforgettable memories and happiness.
Day 3
On the third day of celebration, the vibe was inspired by the playful colors of the sunset. The morning began with Yasmin’s Brunch, where she initially found a maxi dress that echoed the sunset’s hues with fun cutouts. However, after wearing long outfits throughout the festivities, she transformed the dress into a mini, adding a playful twist that she absolutely loved. Guests spent the morning by the pool, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere and gearing up for the enchanting events that awaited them later in the day.
The desert itself played a role in the ambiance, with the pathway leading to the tents gently illuminated by small lanterns, guiding guests through the rugged terrain. The tents, with their warm, amber glow, stood like an oasis in the barren landscape, offering a cozy and inviting space for the gathering. Inside, the tables were adorned with lanterns that cast a soft, flickering light, adding a touch of romance to the evening. The special touches extended beyond the decor to the experiences shared by the guests. Traditional Moroccan tea was served with a flourish, poured from high above into ornate glasses, adding an authentic cultural element to the evening.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the desert sky in hues of gold and pink, the newlyweds stole a quiet moment together. In that intimate setting, they exchanged personal vows, words of love and promise. Tobi Films were there to capture this magical moment, where it felt as though the world paused, leaving only the couple and their love in that serene space. It was a moment that perfectly encapsulated the essence of their three-day celebration, a beautiful and unforgettable ending for both them and their guests.
It was such an honor to be part of their multi-cultural three-day celebration in Marrakech, and I am so happy to have met those two wonderful souls.

Advice from the couple:
• Enjoy the moment—Try to spend as much time as possible with your guests, enjoy celebrating with them, and show appreciation.
• On the day, the most important thing is that you are having fun. Don’t worry so much about small things that are inevitably going to go wrong. The only thing people will really remember is the vibes. If you feel stressed or uncomfortable throughout the day, this will show in your photos.
• At the wedding, assign someone to bring you food and make sure you eat—it’s so easy to get lost in the moment and forget about food and water!
• Think about what’s most important to you on the day and focus on that. For us, it was music, making sure guests were having fun, and having a great photographer and videographer, so we invested most of our time and budget into that.
