A Laid-Back Elegant and Romantic Wedding in Italy

Location: Ronciglione, Italy
Setting: Villa
Season: Summer
How long did the couple plan the event: 1 year
The number of guests: 100
Wedding theme/style: A charming fusion of rustic simplicity, vintage sophistication and a 1950s vibe.

In the heart of Italy, amidst the charming town of Ronciglione, a love story unfolded, bringing together Romy and Elias, a Lebanese couple with a passion for adventure and shared interests in camping, dogs, tennis, and a penchant for watching the same movies repeatedly. Their journey began while working abroad, and their love story quickly evolved into creating a home in a foreign land.

The enchanting Natural Relais Villa Lina, with its Mediterranean gardens and organic estate, provided the perfect canvas for their vision of a laid-back Italian elegance.

Romy’s bridal look exuded timeless elegance, courtesy of a gown designed by Sara Mrad, blending classical and contemporary styles. Giada Russo’s expert touch in hair and makeup created a simple yet captivating frame for Romy’s face, capturing the essence of effortless summer romance.

The radiant bride, Romy, embodied magnificence and romantic tenderness in her wedding ensemble. Drawing from timeless beauty, she epitomized a harmonious blend of elegance and grace in her wedding gown.

In a moment that touched the hearts of all present, the first look between Romy and her father was a testament to the purest emotions. When her father laid eyes on her for the first time in her bridal attire, a wave of admiration and emotion swept over him.

Elias’s wedding morning was filled with joyous camaraderie as he prepared for the day’s festivities surrounded by close friends. For his wedding attire, Elias opted for timeless elegance, choosing a classic tuxedo paired with a bow tie. The stark black of the suit, complemented by the crisp white shirt and perfectly tied bow tie, showcased a refined and sophisticated look. Elias’s choice exuded a sense of enduring style.

The couple entrusted Tarte Aux Poires Weddings, a Lebanese-based destination wedding planner, to turn their dream into reality. Drawing inspiration from the venue’s historic charm, Romy and Elias envisioned a celebration that unfolded seamlessly within the natural landscape, rich in history and emotion.

The wedding ceremony, held at the iconic Duomo di Ronciglione, featured a serene style with lush green and white flowers, seamlessly integrating with the church’s timeless beauty.

The wedding ceremony unfolded a beauty, with Romy gracefully making her way down the aisle, accompanied by her father. Amid the gathered loved ones, Elias focused solely on his bride. The way he looked at her was a symphony of love and admiration, with tears of happiness glistening in his eyes. It was a moment where time seemed to stand still, and the world around them faded into the background. The guests witnessed the beautiful mystery of the birth of a new family.

Exiting the church, Romy and Elias were greeted by  Italian band, leading them through the medieval streets of Ronciglione. Laughter and dancing ensued, creating a lively spectacle for the small village, making the celebration truly unforgettable.

Before the reception, the guests gathered at poolside, creating a lively atmosphere filled with laughter, conversation, and the delightful clinking of glasses. This pre-reception time became a charming interlude, where friends and family came together to enjoy the company of one another while sipping on delicious cocktails.

Every beautiful moment of Romy and Elias’s wedding was immortalized by the dynamic duo of videographer and photographer, Erica & Manu. With their lenses, they turned fleeting moments into eternal memories, preserving the essence of the couple’s special day. Thanks to their creative approach and expertise, they went beyond merely taking photos – each snapshot became a canvas filled with the raw emotions of love.

Their ability to weave a narrative through their lens resulted in true works of art that will stand the test of time. The sunny portraits of the couple radiate love, showcasing the expertise and passion that Erica & Manu poured into their craft.

The venue for the reception was a visual masterpiece, reflecting not only the individuality of the couple but also the vividness and emotional depth of their union. It was a place that echoed the couple’s uniqueness and captured the essence of the season and the surrounding landscape. Italy became the perfect canvas for the celebration with its vibrant hues, warm sun, and a sea of emotions.

The tables were adorned with citrus fruits and lush greenery, creating a vivid tapestry of colors. The arrangement added a touch of natural elegance and resonated with the warmth and zest that characterize the Italian spirit.

The reception table, sourced from typical Italian markets, showcased market crates, aromatic plants, cheese and ham stations, creating a colorful summer tableau.

What set this wedding apart was the intimacy and joy that radiated through every guest. The small village of Ronciglione became the perfect stage for the celebration, where every person, regardless of their connection to the couple, felt like a part of the happiest and most intimate party.

One of the most touching moments of the evening was the father-daughter dance, where Romy swayed across the dance floor in the loving embrace of her father. It was a moment that touched the hearts of everyone present as the dance unfolded; it became a timeless scene etched in the memories of all who were fortunate enough to witness the profound connection between Romy and her father.

The dance of the newlyweds became a sublime moment where Romy and Elias transcended the ordinary and expressed their profound feelings for each other through the language of dance.

The wedding evening transformed into an enchanting celebration filled with the rhythms of music and the magic of dance. As the night unfolded, Romy changed into a new gown, and the atmosphere became electric with the joy of the newlyweds and their guests, dancing the night away.

The pinnacle of the wedding unfolded in a magical, time-honored tradition as Romy and Elias came together to cut their wedding cake. This enchanting moment marked the sweet beginning of their journey as a married couple and radiated with joy, love, and tradition. Adding an extra layer of magic to this moment, sparkling lights were distributed among the guests, creating an atmosphere of joy and happiness.

Advice from couple:

• Our advice for anyone getting married is to remember that your partner is the most important person on the wedding day. Hold their hand as much as you can. Stay with them. Dance with them till you get tired. Go crazy together and keep looking at each other. You two are all that matter, and the most touching memories of that day are the shared ones.
