Maxey and Daniel, a couple from Brooklyn who are now parents living upstate, have a unique love story. Maxey is a model and content creator, while Daniel is a photographer. They met back in 2017, and despite the challenges of the lockdown in 2020, they got engaged early on and soon found out they were expecting a baby. They decided to postpone their wedding until things were more settled. Finally, with their 3-year-old son Koss by their side, they had a beautiful celebration of their love and family. Having their little one join in on their special day was a dream come true.
Maxey’s morning was filled with joy and excitement as she was getting ready for the special day ahead. She commented on her wedding look: “I was inspired by vintage Hollywood glamour but with a modern twist. I designed my dress with Rebecca Schoneveld, and the fabric was the most luxurious satin with floral jacquard. I wanted the dress to be the star, so I went with a subtle hairstyle and timeless makeup.”
Daniel was getting ready for the wedding day with their 3-year-old son, who was having a great time. Both of them looked stylish in their suits paired with bow ties.
Daniel couldn’t hold back his emotions when he saw Maxey in her gorgeous wedding dress. A warm and loving smile spread across his face as he showered her with compliments.
The couple made it a priority to find the perfect photographer to capture their love and special day. Their photographer, Daniel Silbert, beautifully captured intimate moments from the wedding morning, quality time spent with their son, a magical ceremony in a unique location, and a joyous celebration with loved ones in Brooklyn. He expertly documented the beautiful love story of Maxey and Daniel, creating timeless memories for the couple and their guests.
The ceremony was unique. It was in the public courtyard, and the space wasn’t symmetrical. “We decided to have our officiant standing in the corner while Daniel and I stood next to each other and looked out to all of our friends and family. My brother officiated us, and the ceremony felt so intimate and special. I loved it so much!” adds Maxey.
The newlyweds were really inspired by the venue: “We chose it for the location (an area we frequented when we lived in Brooklyn) and because it’s owned by a good friend of Daniel’s and we’ve dreamt about having our wedding there from the day they opened. It’s an industrial, quirky space with lots of colors and lights.”
Maxey and Daniel’s celebration was incredible, surrounded by all their loved ones who were there to celebrate their love. They received a lot of warm wishes in this heartwarming atmosphere.
The celebration continued as the newlyweds shared their first dance, and the night progressed with everyone dancing away into the night.
Maxey concludes: “I was hesitant to have a traditional wedding because we had our son, and it felt like I was doing things backward and not by societal standards, but I’m SO happy I put that pressure off. Having my son there made the day so much more special.”
Advice from couple:
• Your big job is hiring vendors. You have to find people who’s taste you love and that you trust. Once you hire your vendors, let them do their job. You picked them for a reason, and they’re professionals. Just enjoy the ride!
