Liza and Daniel’s wedding was a perfect blend of elegance, glam, and personal touches, showcasing their unique love story. Surrounded by close family and friends, they created a night filled with unforgettable moments, from heartfelt speeches to fun surprises, making it an evening that reflected their journey together.

Time of planning: Around 1 year
Number of guests: 250
Setting: Ballroom
Season: Fall

Liza and Daniel’s story began in 2021 in a lively Russian restaurant where two families unknowingly set the stage for a love story. Despite never having met, they instantly connected, and after a few dates, Liza boldly told Daniel, “In a month, I move to Malibu. You better decide if you want to be with me.” Unfazed, she showed up at his door with a duffle bag, and soon enough, they were living together.

Their bond grew through playful card games, dancing, and their mischievous French bulldog, Guapo. They say, “Liza is the neck that turns Daniel’s head.” Together, they’ve built a life full of laughter, growth, and unconditional love—proving that sometimes, the best things come when you least expect them.

The Vision & Photography

The couple’s vision for their wedding was brought to life flawlessly by their talented planner at Events Boutique by Rita Kealey, who blended their old European charm with modern glam. Inspired by classic authors like Jane Austen, Liza dreamt of a European Georgian and Regency Era affair, combining the elegance of English, French, and Italian styles. But there was also a playful nod to the couple’s shared love for old mafia films, infusing a subtle “mob feel” into the mix.

Shumanev Production expertly captured every moment, showcasing their remarkable skills in both photography and videography. Their artistry and ability to capture both the grand and intimate moments ensured that every beautiful memory was preserved, creating a visual story of love that truly reflected the couple’s journey and style.

Couple's Morning & Fashion

Liza’s wedding gown, Galia Lahav’s Élysée, perfectly embodied the European glam theme with its delicate French lace details. The stunning trumpet lace dress with a bolero exuded timeless sophistication, while her Amina Muaddi Pumps added a touch of modern elegance. Her accessories, including her engagement ring and diamond studs, completed the look with understated luxury.

The beauty was flawlessly crafted by Beauty by Beita, while Avetis Vardanyan ensured her hair was as glamorous as her gown. The breathtaking bouquet, designed by Butterfly Floral and Event Design, tied the whole look together. In her own words, she felt “elegant, yet sexy,” radiating the perfect blend of grace and allure on her special day.

Daniel chose a classic Vera Wang tuxedo, exuding timeless elegance for himself, his groomsmen, and, of course, their beloved dog. Feeling “excited and confident,” he was ready to marry the love of his life, radiating a quiet strength and style that complemented the overall atmosphere of the day.

First Look

The first look was a moment of pure magic as the couple stood in quiet anticipation before seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. Daniel’s face lit up as he turned to see Liza, radiating elegance in her stunning gown, while she couldn’t help but smile, knowing this was the moment she had been dreaming of.

Ceremony

The ceremony’s design was a perfect mix of tradition and modern elegance. With the summer sunset in mind, their planner suggested a stunning tent with chandeliers and a reflective mirror aisle to create an open, sophisticated feel. A white wood chuppah wrapped in florals balanced Jewish traditions with a romantic touch.

Guests were swept into a fairytale garden atmosphere, while the groom’s playful aisle antics and the bride’s emotional entrance to Daniel Jang’s violin rendition of “Can’t Help Falling In Love” had everyone in tears. It was a day full of surprises and unforgettable moments.

Liza and Daniel’s ceremony exceeded all expectations, blending sweetness with excitement. Surrounded by their loved ones, the couple envisioned a lively ceremony with friends dancing down the aisle and a breathtaking sunset. The result? A joyful, intimate experience that felt both personal and grand. As the couple put it, “There were a lot of people, yet it felt super intimate.”

Reception Decor

The reception décor was absolutely breathtaking. The ballroom was transformed into an enchanting space with large, elegant centerpieces by Butterfly Floral, creating a luxurious and romantic atmosphere. A multi-tiered wedding cake from Shirin Bakery stole the show, while the dessert table offered a sweet array of treats.

Ivory draping cascaded around the room, complemented by an LED wall that added a touch of modern glamour. Guests couldn’t help but smile at the cocktail napkins featuring the couple’s dog, proudly captioned “drinks on me.”

The Celebration

The reception was full of unforgettable surprises. Since Liza’s brother couldn’t attend, he arranged for a friend to deliver his heartfelt speech. Next, the groom’s family friends performed a custom version of “To Life” from Fiddler on the Roof, changing the lyrics to reflect the couple’s story. The final surprise came when the groomsmen performed a playful cover of “Bye Bye Bye” by NSYNC, celebrating the bride and groom’s love.

The newlyweds’ first dance was unforgettable, wowing both their guests and themselves. Liza, with her dance background, spent six months choreographing and teaching Daniel, practicing after long days of work and bar exam prep. To surprise their guests, the groom had a groomsman mix their six favorite songs, starting with a slow, cheesy tune. After a dramatic dip, Daniel threw off his jacket to Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud,” and for six minutes, they shared the pure joy of their hard work and love for dancing.

The night was a perfect reflection of Liza and Daniel’s journey—filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
