Polina and Sasha’s wedding weekend in Tuscany was the kind of celebration that feels like it jumped off the pages of a modern romance. With the help of their incredible planner at WOW Wedding, the couple turned their dream of a relaxed, Italian-style gathering into a vibrant, joy-filled reality. From a Wes Anderson-inspired color palette to spontaneous dance moments and an unforgettable cake-cutting experience, every detail reflected their shared style—timeless yet playful, intimate but full of personality.
Location: Italy, Tuscany
Style: Classic, romantic,Tuscan-inspired
Number of guests: 25
The time of planning: 1 year
Setting: La Commenda Concordia
Season: Summer
Polina and Sasha’s love story began in the most classic way—high school friends who slowly developed into something more. Eight years later, they’re living in Berlin and still growing together. One of their most unforgettable memories? A rainy 2023 proposal on Japan’s ancient trail to Mount Fuji. “It felt like something out of a dream,” Polina says.
When it came to the wedding, they kept the vision intimate and intentional. An Italian weekend surrounded by close friends and family, full of warmth, good food, and that effortless kind of joy. Just love, laughter, and all the beauty they’d imagined.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
For the ceremony, Polina wore a timeless Vivienne Westwood gown—elegant, structured, and a little bit rebellious—exactly how she’d always pictured her wedding look. Classic Jimmy Choo heels completed the vibe, adding a polished touch of glamour without stealing the spotlight.
Then came the unexpected twist: the morning of the wedding, her accessories—earrings and a pendant—were nowhere to be found. But fate had its own plan. “Our decorator had antique Vivienne Westwood pieces with her,” she shared. “They matched my dress perfectly, like they were meant to be.”
"Every piece came together in a way that made me feel confident, radiant, and completely myself."

Groom's Fashion
Sasha started the wedding day with a relaxed poolside hangout with his groomsmen—a laid-back moment that set the tone for the day. When it came time to suit up, he went with a classic Dolce & Gabbana look that balanced timeless tailoring with a sharp, modern edge. Polished Church’s shoes grounded the outfit with a sense of quiet luxury.
What really made the look feel personal, though, was a custom pocket square from Vanda Fine Clothing. It was a small but thoughtful detail that brought the whole outfit together.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at golden hour by the old church on the villa grounds, right on the stone steps that were transformed into a floral dream. The blooms spilled effortlessly down the staircase, creating a setting that felt both wild and intentional—like nature had planned it that way. It was all beautifully captured by the photographer Ksenia Antonova and the videographers of Paramonova Movies.
"We were definitely nervous before it all began, but as soon as we saw each other, everything else faded away. It was such a joyful, emotional moment - one we’ll never forget."
Polina, The Bride
The couple set out to create a ceremony that felt personal and effortless—where tradition met a laid-back, modern energy. Between the golden light, the setting, and the people closest to them, the moment struck a rare balance of intimacy and elegance. Guests echoed the sentiment, calling it one of the most genuine, moving ceremonies they’d ever been part of.
Planning & Decor
The couple imagined a laid-back, Italian-style wedding weekend with their favorite people—and with the help of their planner, Natalia, at WOW Wedding, that dream unfolded into something even more magical. Once they found the perfect venue in Tuscany, everything clicked. Inspired by the whimsical charm of The Grand Budapest Hotel, they leaned into soft pinks, whites, and playful details like room key placeholders at dinner. Regular planning calls and Natalia’s expert vendor curation brought it all together, transforming the celebration into a stylish, storybook weekend.
"Working with Natalia was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was not just a planner, but a creative partner, a calming presence, and someone who truly cared about making our day unforgettable."
Bride about their Planners
Reception
The reception took place in front of the villa, framed by the same romantic florals that ran through the ceremony—creating a cohesive, dreamy atmosphere that felt both elegant and intimate. A live Italian band played timeless tunes, adding a nostalgic charm while guests danced, laughed, and soaked up the magic of the evening.
Later, the couple shared not one but two first dances—first alone beneath twinkle lights near the old church, then joined by their guests for a joyful, impromptu group moment. Their wedding cake, a traditional Italian millefoglie, turned into a fun performance as they decorated it together with fresh berries. And to close the night? A spontaneous, crowd-cheering jump into the pool—equal parts wild and wonderful and the perfect finish to a celebration full of heart.
"What made our wedding truly special was having all of our loved ones with us for the entire weekend. It wasn’t just about the ceremony or the party - it was about the shared moments in between."

Advice from the couple:
• Enjoy every second of it! The time goes by so quickly, so take moments to slow down, soak it all in, and really feel everything.
• One thing we absolutely loved – and highly recommend – is giving guests instant cameras. We handed one to each guest and asked them to capture moments throughout the weekend. In the end, we had a huge collection of fun, candid, and heartfelt photos.
