Jade and Julien already had two weddings behind them: a civil ceremony in London, then a three-hundred-guest celebration in China. For their third, they wanted something just for themselves. They chose an intimate weekend on the Amalfi Coast, timed to the anniversary of the day they met at university. At Villa La Rondinaia in Ravello, a cliffside villa where the sea and sky blur into one, they exchanged vows in front of only their closest family and friends. Andrew Bayda captured every moment of the weekend, while Happy Moments Collector brought their most personal celebration yet to life.

Location: Amalfi Coast, Italy
Style: Classic, Intimate, Elegant
Setting: Villa
Season: Fall

Jade and Julien met during their first week at the University of Toronto, and they have been inseparable ever since. After graduation, their paths took them in different directions — Julien to France for his master’s, Jade to the UK for hers — but the distance only strengthened what they had. When they finally reunited, Julien proposed, and the two went on to co-found One Perfect Day, a mindful life-planning platform built to help people step into their next chapter with clarity and calm. Nine years after that first meeting, they were ready to write their own.

Venue & Date

September 16th wasn’t their engagement date, and it wasn’t chosen at random. It was the day their story began nine years earlier at the University of Toronto — and Jade and Julien wanted their wedding to mark that same date, full circle.

After two celebrations built around family and tradition, this one was just for them. They looked for a venue that felt hidden and untouched, somewhere elegant without being overexposed. Villa La Rondinaia found them instead: a cliffside estate above the Amalfi Coast, where the sea and sky blur into one. Italy had always held a kind of pull for the couple, and the view from the villa — dramatic, sunlit, and quietly serene — felt like something they’d discovered on their own.

Bridal Fashion

Jade wore three looks for three distinct moments of the celebration. For the ceremony, she chose a custom Elie Saab gown from the label’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection, paired with custom diamond earrings and Aquazzura‘s Olie Plateau heels — a look that balanced softness with strength.

For the reception, she changed into a Vivienne Westwood Galaxy Cape gown, embroidered with roses and rendered in heavy silk satin, styled with Mikimoto pearls and Paspaley studs. It read as timeless and romantic, with a modern edge.

To close out the night, she slipped into a Milla Nova mini dress, dancing freely under the Italian moonlight.

First Look

Julien waited on a curved terrace carved into the cliffside. Below him, the Amalfi Coast stretched out in one long line of blue. It was a striking, unforgettable backdrop for a moment that carried nine years of love in it — the scale of the coastline matching the scale of what they’d built together.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place on a cliffside lawn lined with classical statues, the sea stretching out behind them. White roses and hydrangea, designed by Armando Malafronte, ran along the aisle and gathered near the altar.

Jade and Julien exchanged vows in front of only their closest family and friends, surrounded by a scene that was soft, elegant, and quietly beautiful against such a dramatic backdrop.

Private Moment

After the ceremony, Jade and Julien slipped away for a few private portraits around the villa. The photographer Andrew Bayda made the most of it. Each frame pairs the couple with the scale of the setting — the cliffs, the archways, the sea — without ever losing the two of them in it, and the ease between them comes through in every shot.

Reception

As evening fell, the celebration moved to a long candlelit table set beneath the trees, the coastline fading into blue behind it. The tablescape carried the same palette as the ceremony: white and blush, with gold-rimmed glassware and soft florals running the length of the table.

Jade and Julien opened the dance floor together before the night gave way to fireworks over the water. The celebration wrapped with the couple cutting into a millefoglie topped with fresh berries, at a table framed in white roses with sparks lighting up the dark behind them.

Every detail across the weekend, from the ceremony to the last dance, came together under the care of planners Happy Moments Collector.
