Britney and Patrick both grew up immersed in the world of horse racing, yet their paths didn’t cross until the 2021 Kentucky Derby, where Britney was reporting for NBC and Patrick’s horse, Hot Rod Charlie, finished second. Their first real conversation happened in front of millions during an on-air interview at the Belmont Stakes in New York, an unexpected beginning that quickly turned into something more. They later fell in love with Sicily during a spontaneous trip to Taormina, a place deeply personal to Britney through her grandfather. When her parents couldn’t attend, Patrick flew in at the last minute, and that week changed everything. From then on, Sicily became their place, forever woven into their story.
Location: Sicily, Italy
Style: Black Tie & Traditional Italian
Time of planning: 1 year
Number of guests: 92
Setting: Entire Hotel
Season: Summer
Their June 2025 wedding at Relais Monaci delle Terre Nere, a Michelin-listed estate on the slopes of Mount Etna, felt intimate, grounded, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Surrounded by volcanic landscapes and timeless Sicilian architecture, the celebration embraced a sense of heritage without feeling too formal. Planned with the planners at Living For Tomorrow, the weekend came together naturally, blending elevated design with moments that felt personal, warm, and true to them.
Civil Ceremony
The couple began with an intimate courthouse ceremony in New York, joined by both families and their Dalmatian, Willow, before continuing the celebration with a weeklong gathering in Sicily.
In New York, Britney embraced a modern bridal look in a tailored Elizabeth Fillmore suit, setting the tone with clean lines, structure, and an effortlessly confident city aesthetic.
Welcome Event
The festivities included wine tastings, a beach day, a welcome party, a rehearsal dinner, and a wedding attended by 92 guests who traveled from across the U.S. Adding even more meaning, both of Britney’s grandmothers, 84 and 89, were present throughout the week, grounding the celebration in family, legacy, and generations coming together.
They wanted the welcome party and the wedding day to feel entirely distinct. The wedding day leaned into an editorial, unusual, and striking aesthetic, while the welcome party was vibrant and traditional, serving as a joyful ode to Sicily.
Bride's Morning & Fashion
For Britney, the entire wedding day felt deeply special, beginning with a quiet, emotional morning filled with gratitude and excitement. Being surrounded by the people she loves most and getting ready to marry the man who makes her heart feel full made every moment feel surreal and meaningful. As she shared, “To have all of our loved ones together in the same place was beyond special,” and marrying Patrick felt “like a dream I never want to wake up from.”
"It was pure magic. Every moment. It truly was the best week—and the best day—of my life. I know that sounds cliché, but it couldn’t be more true.”

For the day, she wore a strapless gown by Dana Harel, choosing a minimalist and elegant silhouette that felt timeless and refined. Her makeup was kept natural, while her hair was styled in a sleek low bun by Lauren McCormack, completing a look that felt effortless, modern, and perfectly her.
Emotions & First Look
“I remember just feeling calm, which for me is saying something,” Britney shared. The morning was filled with quiet, meaningful moments, and that sense of ease stayed with her throughout the day. From the early hours to the final celebration, Britney couldn’t help but smile, carried by the joy of the people around her and the feeling that everything was exactly as it was meant to be.
One of the most memorable highlights of the morning was Britney’s first look with her father, a moment filled with overwhelming emotion and happy tears. It was intimate, tender, and deeply moving, setting a heartfelt tone for the day ahead.
Groom's Fashion
For Patrick, the day began with a training session with his groomsmen, followed by a relaxed morning by the pool under the warm Sicilian sun, setting an easy, joyful tone before the celebrations began.
Patrick wore a bespoke ivory suit from New York’s Robbie & Co., a thoughtful choice that complemented Britney’s look while allowing him to stand out subtly among groomsmen dressed in classic black tuxes. His Christian Louboutin shoes, a Christmas gift from Britney, mixed shine and suede for a refined finish, and he chose to forgo a boutonnière to keep the look clean and understated. Personal touches made the outfit even more meaningful: custom socks labeled with the date, “B+P,” and “the boys,” cufflinks engraved with “B+P” gifted by Britney before the wedding, and both the shirt and jacket marked with their initials and wedding date.
"I couldn't have scripted the day any better, and there is no doubt that Britney and I won the day. She looked so beautiful, and I was glad to try to hold a candle to her."

Ceremony
The ceremony took place with sweeping views of Sicily, a setting so striking it needed little embellishment. Because the location spoke for itself, the design and floral concept were intentionally restrained, meant to honor the landscape rather than compete with it. At the same time, the florals were given space to stand on their own, feeling distinctive, editorial, and expressive, a balance that made the scene feel both natural and thoughtfully styled.
The ceremony was deeply touching from start to finish. As Britney walked down the aisle and stood beside Patrick, “everything just felt right, complete.” During their vows, he did what he always does, making her laugh and cry all at once, and in that moment, she shared that it felt “like we were the only two people there.”
"Opening my heart has never been easy for me, but in that moment it felt effortless. I’m pretty sure the smile on my face never left for the rest of the night—or the days that followed.”

Cocktail Hour
Right after the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved into the cocktail hour, enjoying the atmosphere and celebrating the moment.
One of the most meaningful details of the reception was finding a way to include their beloved pup, Willow, who couldn’t travel to Sicily. The couple surprised guests with custom Willow coasters, revealed as Aperol Spritzes were served. Each cocktail on the menu was thoughtfully selected to reflect the couple’s favorite drinks, adding another personal layer to the celebration.
Decor & Photography
The reception took place outdoors and felt just as magical as the rest of the celebration. Together with their planner, the couple focused on a minimalist approach that let the setting shine. Long tables were adorned with lush florals designed and fresh fruits by Alfio Flowers, creating a refined yet organic atmosphere that felt effortless, intimate, and perfectly in tune with the overall wedding vision.
Just before the reception, the newlyweds took a quiet moment together while Katarina Fedora captured breathtaking portraits of them. Working with both film and digital, she beautifully documented the essence of the day, preserving its emotion, atmosphere, and intimacy with a timeless, editorial sensibility.
Reception
BEAT from ALR Music escorted the couple into dinner, instantly setting a high-energy tone for the night ahead. The celebration took place across two distinct dance floors: a rustic wooden floor beneath the olive trees for formal dances and speeches during dinner, followed by a mirrored dance floor surrounded by glittering disco balls in the after-party space. That second room became a joyful surprise, revealing a whole new atmosphere once the evening shifted gears.
Right before the night fully came to life, the newlyweds were surrounded by warm wishes and heartfelt moments from their loved ones. As the celebration transitioned into the evening, Britney changed into her second look, marking the shift into a night filled with energy, joy, and celebration.
Into The Night
The biggest moment of surprise came later in the night. After hours of dancing, BEAT invited guests to follow them up a hidden staircase to the rooftop. Everyone assumed they were gathering to watch Britney and Patrick cut the cake beneath the Sicilian night sky. Instead, as the music swelled, fireworks suddenly lit up the sky above, transforming the moment into something cinematic, unexpected, and unforgettable.
"It was the best day, and I can’t wait for all the adventures still to come.”
