Patrick and Meghan’s journey began in Ottawa in 2010. High school sweethearts started dating at 16 and shared unforgettable moments, including attending prom together. Their bond strengthened through university, and after graduation, they moved in together. The pandemic brought a new chapter, leading them to Calgary, where Patrick proposed during a surprise weekend getaway in Banff. Despite the challenges of planning a wedding during a pandemic, their love prevailed, leading them to The Pearle Hotel, their dream venue.

When Patrick proposed in Banff at the Fairmont Banff Springs during the summer of 2021, the fires were raging, creating a smoky atmosphere. We couldn't see the scenery, but the gondola trip and dinner to celebrate our engagement made it unforgettable. I was so excited that I even knocked over a glass of champagne, and the waiter jokingly blamed it on my new jewelry!

Drawing inspiration from a meticulously curated Pinterest mood board, the sophisticated elegance of Kevin Love and Kate Bock’s wedding, and the exquisite work of their photographer, Liza Litvinovich, Patrick and Meghan crafted an editorial and candid day. Their vision blended timeless elegance and personal touches, resulting in an aesthetically pleasing and deeply meaningful wedding.

The wedding reflected the lovebirds’ style—elegant, timeless, and romantic. The monochromatic palette featured white hydrangeas and roses, neutral décor, and sophisticated stationery, creating a serene and classic atmosphere. The couple’s desire for a warm and loving environment was evident in every detail.

Meghan started her day surrounded by her bridesmaids, dressed in pajamas and enjoying a fun champagne pop with them and her dad. Her bridal bouquet was adorned with a special touch—embroidered tulle from her mom’s wedding dress, adding a sentimental and personal element to her ensemble.

A heartwarming moment unfolded when Meghan presented her mom with a commissioned print that depicted drawings of her grandmother’s dress, her mom’s dress, and her own wedding dress, creating a beautiful generational tribute.

Meghan’s dress, a customized Lee Grebenau creation from Powder Bride, featured sleeves and an ivory lining, complemented by a tulle sleeve and blusher veil inspired by Sofia Richie. Her hair was styled in loose curls, enhancing her natural beauty, while her makeup followed a “natural me but better” philosophy.

Patrick’s tuxedo featured their wedding date embroidered in the collar, and their dads wore custom embroidered pocket squares, further adding to the personal touches of the day. Patrick also gifted his groomsmen matching socks with polka dots and matching bowties.

The minimalist and modern backdrop and the lush florals created a breathtaking and timeless atmosphere for the couple’s vows. White hydrangeas and roses were meticulously arranged to create soft, billowing clusters that appeared to float down the aisle. These delicate, cloudlike formations added romance and elegance to the ceremony, perfectly complementing the serene and sophisticated ambiance of the venue.

Patrick's one wish was to see me for the first time as I walked down the aisle, and that moment was incredibly emotional for both of us. We also wrote our own vows, which added a deeply personal element to our ceremony.

Liza Litvinovich masterfully captured the essence of Patrick and Meghan’s love story in the post-ceremony photos. Embracing an urban backdrop, Liza’s vision was to highlight the contrast between the couple’s elegance and the modern cityscape. The photos, taken against sleek architectural lines and contemporary settings, created a striking visual narrative.

Meghan’s ethereal beauty, complemented by her flowing veil and intricate dress, was beautifully juxtaposed with the serene lake and city. Liza’s ability to blend classic romance with contemporary elements resulted in a captivating and memorable collection of photographs.

The reception zone beautifully mirrored the ethereal all-white theme. The space was adorned with long, elegant tables draped in crisp white linens, flanked by modern, minimalist chairs that matched the ceremony seating. Tall, cylindrical candles added a romantic ambiance, casting a warm glow across the room. The ceiling was decorated with delicate hanging installations that resembled feathers, enhancing the ethereal feel of the decor.

The sweetheart table was a focal point, adorned with a lush floral garland that cascaded gracefully to the floor, mirroring the cloudlike clusters from the ceremony. The meticulous attention to detail ensured that every element of the day was cohesive, from the aisle to the dance floor, creating an unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests.

The atmosphere of the evening was filled with heartfelt emotions and joyous celebrations. The transition from the ethereal ceremony to the elegant reception was seamless, and the night unfolded with touching speeches and joyful dances. Friends and family shared heartwarming stories and well-wishes during the speeches, bringing tears of joy and laughter to everyone present. The couple’s first dance was beautiful, with Patrick and Meghan swaying gracefully to their favorite song, lost in each other’s eyes.

Advice from the couple:

Remember that the day is about the two of you, not anyone else.

Have fun! If you’re having fun, then your guests will have fun.

Don’t forget why you’re there – you have all your friends and family in one place to celebrate how much you love each other. It’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Take it all in – take the photos, dance with everyone, remember everything.
