Madison first met Brandon at a Denver music festival where his overwhelming nerves to meet her led him to seem more intense than he intended. Eighteen months later, their connection deepened, leading to a first date. At Madison’s surprise birthday party Brandon asked Madison to marry him with a custom ring made by their friends in Denver.
The couple chose a stunning Cigarral de las Mercedes for their July wedding, embracing the allure of old-world Europe which they both adore. Two years of meticulous planning went into organizing this intimate gathering for 45 guests, reflecting their shared passion for travel and desire for a wedding that felt like a destination getaway.
On the morning of the wedding, Madison radiated elegance in a Galia Lahav gown, a perfect match for the modern European summer glam theme of their special day. The dress’s intricate lace and flowing silhouette made her the center of attention, as she prepared to unite with Brandon.
The groom was wearing a classic black tuxedo paired with a sharp white shirt and black bow tie. A traditional white pocket square and a tasteful boutonnière of white flowers with green foliage accented his jacket lapel, and black shoes gave his outfit a modern yet laid-back feel.
Madison and Brandon’s first look was a moment filled with joy and a touch of playful surprise. Madison approached Brandon with a special gift — a photo album with a collection of memories and moments leading up to their day. Laughter and delight were evident as they flipped through the pages, sharing memories encapsulated in the photographs.
The ceremony took place under a majestic tree that stood as a natural altar. In a truly unique touch, Brandon’s favorite EDM artist Feed Me, performed live as Madison walked down the aisle. Emotions ran high with tears of love, as they made heartfelt promises to each other, marking the beginning of their forever together.
A relaxed cocktail hour followed, where guests mingled and sipped on crafted drinks, the air buzzing with conversations and laughter. It was a time for everyone to absorb the day’s joy and the couple’s happiness. For a unique and personal touch, the couple displayed framed portraits of their three dogs and created custom drink coasters featuring their images.
In a private moment, the newlyweds had a walk around the cigarral’s territory to reflect on their journey. This pause amidst the whirlwind of the day allowed them to savor their new status as husband and wife.
Birch and Honey Collective did an outstanding job planning Madison and Brandon’s destination wedding. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, creating a romantic and cohesive atmosphere. From the floral arrangements to the catering, each vendor that they handpicked, complemented the charming setting, making for an unforgettable celebration that reflected the couple’s love beautifully.
As evening fell, the celebration continued under a canopy of stars. The gentle glow of candlelight, a warm fairy lights and the soft hues of the setting created an enchanting scene, where every detail was curated to complement the Spanish Cigarral’s charm.
Advice from couple:
• Hire a planner! We were able to totally check out and enjoy. I felt like we were guests at our own wedding and it was perfection. No stress or last-minute surprises because our planner had everything handled. Doing a destination wedding was also so much fun – we got to invite all of the people that we really wanted there and we got to spend 4 beautiful days with them rather than trying to pack everything into a few short hours.
