Konstantinos and I met at a party while he was studying in Wales and I was in Athens. The next day, he flew back to the UK. Ten days later, he surprised me by booking tickets and returning to Greece. Despite the lockdown, Konstantinos stayed in Greece with me until September, and we had a wonderful summer together. I finished my studies, and we moved to London, where we have lived since. After a year, he proposed to me, and voila... the rest is history.
The wedding was inspired by the simplicity of the Greek summer holidays. Konstantinos and Christina wanted a close-knit and uncomplicated celebration reflecting their mutual vision and the essence of their love story. Sifnos provided a breathtaking canvas for the nuptials. The backdrop of rugged hills and traditional whitewashed buildings added a touch of timeless beauty to the occasion. With the sun setting over the Aegean Sea and the gentle waves providing a soothing soundtrack, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate church ceremony followed by a beachside celebration.
Christina began her bridal preparations as the late morning sun bathed in its golden glow. She donned a beautifully patterned kimono, radiating a serene excitement. Her makeup artist accentuated her eyes with warm brown tones, enhancing her natural beauty and giving her a captivating gaze. Her hair was styled elegantly, with loose tendrils framing her face, perfectly complementing her overall look.
The gown was designed by Christina herself. It featured minimalist, flowing lines that draped elegantly over her form, creating a fantasy-like appearance. The fabric moved gracefully with every step she took, giving her an ethereal, almost otherworldly presence. Konstantinos wore a tailored white suit that perfectly complemented the relaxed vibe of the celebration. The suit, featuring a classic cut, was paired with a crisp white shirt. To add a touch of casual chic, Konstantinos opted for taupe sneakers by Zegna, blending comfort with style.
The ceremony was a profound celebration rich in Greek tradition. The Service of Betrothal featured the exchange of rings, symbolizing the couple’s unity. During the Crowning, golden “stefana” crowns were placed on their heads, representing honor and glory. Surrounded by loved ones, the ceremony beautifully combined faith, love, and tradition.
After the ceremony, Dimitris captured a series of mesmerizing couple photos. The calm sea and cotton candy sky created an ethereal backdrop, casting a warm golden glow over the couple. The gentle breeze made Christina’s gown flutter, adding to the airy and free feel of the moment. Konstantinos and Christina were completely in their element, their love and joy shining through.
