Time of planning: 1 year and few months
Number of guests: 135
Setting: Garden Style Venue
Season: Spring
Lindsay and Brett’s journey began in 2018 at a birthday party for Lindsay’s freshman roommate, Amy. During this celebration, Lindsay spotted Brett holding an “I Heart NY” flask and asked, “Do you really love New York?”—a playful icebreaker that set the tone for their connection. Fun fact: Amy later stood by their side as a bridesmaid at their wedding!
In November 2022, after months of ring shopping, Brett had a special proposal planned for the weekend of the Arkansas vs. Ole Miss football game. While Lindsay was busy grilling him about when he would pop the question, Brett was secretly preparing for the big moment. Their day included brunch with friends and a trip to Mt. Sequoyah, but Lindsay was taken by surprise when they arrived at the overlook. As she admired the view, she turned around to find Brett on one knee! The couple celebrated their engagement with friends and cheered on the Razorbacks to a thrilling victory. Now settled in Dallas in a renovated home, Lindsay works as a designer while Brett is a banker. They love watching sports, especially their beloved Razorbacks, enjoying Mexican food, and cooking together.
Vision & Photography
Lindsay had always dreamed of incorporating her favorite color, lavender, into her special day. So when Brett proposed, she was eager to hear his thoughts on the wedding. His only request was simple: it couldn’t interfere with football season. That was all the confirmation Lindsay needed—the wedding would be in spring. As an interior designer, Lindsay’s vision for space, color, and texture is shaped by her daily work with furniture and design. When she toured the venue, Grand Lady, she was instantly captivated by the charm of the old home and its beautiful on-site floral garden. The venue perfectly aligned with her vision, bringing her dream of a garden-style wedding to life.
This lively and vibrant wedding was artfully captured by Paige Graham Photo, known for her attention for detail and her talent for capturing breathtaking candid moments. She created a stunning collection of photos that are both stylish and truly mesmerizing, creating lasting memories for the couple and their loved ones to treasure.
Couple's Morning & Fashion
Lindsay’s wedding morning was magical, and her bridal look perfectly reflected that enchantment. Initially, she imagined a simple silk or chiffon dress with a square neckline and no embellishments. However, her vision changed once the venue was chosen; she realized she wanted a gown that incorporated floral details to align with their wedding theme. She fell in love with a stunning gown crafted from white matte crepe, adorned with delicate lace floral appliqués that added a subtle elegance. The dress featured a strapless cowl neckline, a charming button-back, a flattering trumpet silhouette, and a graceful chapel train that truly made her feel like a bride.
Lindsay felt excited about her makeup and hair by Lauren Haese and Madison as she prepared for her wedding day. As for the makeup, she genuinely wanted to maintain her natural beauty. She opted for a soft pink glam with a nude lip —perfectly aligned with her desire to feel like herself on this special day. For her hair, Lindsay requested tucked Hollywood waves but asked Lauren to leave out one strand to break up the traditional look. The result framed her face beautifully, adding a timeless touch to her overall appearance. “When I saw my final hair & makeup look and started to tear up, Madison shared some words that really carried me through the day,” shares Lindsay.
"I am an emotional person, and I thought my day would be full of many tears. While I had my fair share, there was so much calmness in the air. Everything felt so right and there was a sense of peace. Just excited to marry the love of my life!"

First Look & Pre-Ceremony
Lindsay and Brett shared their first look and exchanged private vows on the home’s balcony, creating a beautifully intimate moment just for the two of them. It was a perfect way to connect before the ceremony, allowing them to soak in the excitement and emotions of the day. Afterward, they spent some quality time with their family and bridal party, cherishing those precious moments together before the celebration began.
The wedding was set to be a garden party, with a formal attire theme that Lindsay had carefully curated. She created a Pinterest board filled with inspiration to help her guests visualize the look she envisioned. On their wedding website, she encouraged guests to embrace this vibe: “We hope that our wedding will give you an opportunity to wear your best garden party formal attire. Think of soft fabrics and spring/cheerful colors, such as pastels, floral prints, and neutral tones (though not white, black, and jeans, please!).” Lindsay was excited about the idea of her loved ones wearing fun colors and prints to reflect the joyous occasion, making the day even more vibrant and memorable.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at The Grand Lady Lawn, where the altar was adorned with four stunning floral arrangements perched on two different height acrylic pedestals. At the entrance to the aisle, two large ground arrangements greeted guests, setting a vibrant tone for the celebration. Understanding the Texas heat, Lindsay and Brett added charming parasols for their guests, providing much-needed shade and adding an extra layer of texture to the ceremony.
As Lindsay made her way down the aisle, “All of Me” by John Legend filled the air—Brett’s favorite song. To enhance this moment, Brett’s cousin, River, played the violin alongside the DJ’s background track, infusing a traditional touch that perfectly complemented their garden theme. With Brett’s uncle officiating—his first time in this role—the couple felt a deep sense of joy and connection. “It was important to us to have someone we knew and who shared our faith marry us,” they reflected. The ceremony embraced religious and traditional elements, including Lindsay’s family’s cherished practice of weaving the Lord’s Prayer into the proceedings. It was a moment that felt just right, filled with love and significance for both them and their families.
"We expected this to be a very special moment. I mean, this is what the entire day is about. It made us so excited to think about being in front of our friends and family to share this moment. Of course we had nerves going into it, but standing up there made it all go away in an instant."

Cocktail Hour
After the ceremony, guests were welcomed into the cocktail hour with a frozen raspberry vodka lemonade popsicle dipped in a glass of bubbly prosecco. On a hot day, it was the perfect treat! This delightful moment set a lively tone for the evening ahead, ensuring everyone was in high spirits and ready to celebrate.
As the cocktail hour flowed on, the newlyweds slipped away for a quiet moment to themselves. They wandered down the walkway toward the garden, seeking a place to hide from the heat. “This ended up being perfect!” they added, just as a champagne cork popped unexpectedly, catching them by surprise. They took a brief pause to toast to each other, savoring the beauty of the day and the peaceful silence away from the vibrant celebration. “Love the photos Paige captured here!” the couple commented.
Reception Decor & Celebration
The reception took place at the breathtaking Grand Lady Reception Hall, where Lindsay’s vision came to life in a stunning blend of modern garden style and timeless elegance. She chose minimal greenery, focusing on vibrant in-season blooms beautifully arranged by Grand Lady Floral that brought color and texture to every corner of the space. The tables were draped in off-white linens, providing a classic background allowing the florals to shine. The long tables were a brilliant choice, seating many guests together and creating a more intimate, interactive atmosphere. “Tessa, our planner at Eclipse Event Co, recommended a family style dinner from the get-go.“ It also made the family-style dinner feel even more special, encouraging guests to connect in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The result was a beautiful, lively setting that perfectly reflected the couple’s style and made everyone feel at home.
The reception was filled with unforgettable moments, starting with the newlyweds’ grand entrance to one of Lindsay’s all-time favorite songs—Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. It was the perfect song to set the tone for a night full of energy and joy. Soon after, the couple received heartfelt well-wishes from friends and family before sharing special dances—the Father-Daughter Dance and the Mother-Son Dance—each moment filled with emotion. Guests were then treated to the couple’s signature cocktail, a Kir Royale, adding a personal touch to the celebration. The couple also put a lot of thought into the menu, ensuring the food was exceptional. Nearly every guest commented that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had or even the best food they’d ever tasted! It was a night of great food, great music, and moments that would be cherished forever.
Later in the reception, Lindsay changed her long wedding gown for a chic, short dress—perfect for hitting the dance floor. She had always planned to save the big moments for her wedding dress and then switch to something fun and easy to move in for the party. And with DJ behind the turntables, the dance floor was never empty. “Anything and everything to get our guests on the dance floor!” they said, and their DJ delivered, keeping everyone dancing all night long with the perfect mix of tunes.
"Our favorite parts were the ceremony, and all the planned moments we had one on one. Wouldn’t change the many private moments planned for anything!"
