Graciela and Rennie met in the dorm rooms at FIU in Miami, FL. Their friendship blossomed over nine years, eventually turning into a romantic relationship that lasted for five years before they tied the knot. They’ve been married for four years by civil law and two years by the Catholic Church.
Rennie proposed during a memorable weekend in Parkwood, WA, near Mt. Rainier. They stayed in an A-frame Airbnb cabin, where Rennie popped the question. The couple celebrated their engagement at the wineries in Walla Walla, WA.
They envisioned a wedding celebration that spanned 3-5 days, allowing them to spend quality time with their families and friends at the same hotel. Planning such a multifaceted event required meticulous attention to detail, and Graciela and Rennie entrusted this task to Magic Love Events. The planner’s expertise ensured that every aspect of the wedding, from logistics to aesthetics, was flawlessly executed. Their work allowed the couple to focus on enjoying their special days without the stress of managing the event themselves.
Their wedding venue was the stunning Secret Jewel in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Azure ocean and an abundance of palm trees created a space where they could savor their special day. “It seemed like the perfect place for their destination wedding,” said the planner.
On the morning of the wedding, Graciela wore a stunning Rosa Clara dress from Pamplona, Spain. She chose her dress two years before the wedding without knowing the exact location of the event. She found the perfect dress after trying on just two. Her accessories were sourced from various places, adding personal touches to her ensemble.
Rennie wore a classic black tuxedo and paired it with a white shirt and a black bow tie that matched the elegant and classic theme of the wedding. A boutonniere of white flowers and greenery added a fresh touch to his overall look.
The traditional Catholic ceremony is held at a beautiful beachfront chapel decorated with a range of white flowers. The couple shared that the most memorable moment from the wedding day was seeing each other at the ceremony as they dreamed for many years: “It was special being at the altar eye to eye finally there after a long time waiting.”
After the ceremony, Graciela and Rennie cherished a quiet moment alone on the beach by the Caribbean Sea. Their smiles reflected pure joy as the setting sun cast a golden glow. The photographer Rwanda Studio captured stunning images, with Graciela’s veil billowing in the wind, adding a touch of magic to the scene.
The reception took place in the palm area of the Secret Jewel venue, featuring rustic wooden tables decorated with various eucalyptus leaves and white garden roses, “The style was classic and elegant, with a mix of tropical adventures, reflecting their Latin roots and love for the ocean and sun,” explained the planner Magic Love Events. Interesting detail that mojitos, their signature drink, served as a unique seating chart.
Graciela and Rennie shared their first dance to “La Vie en Rose” by Emily Watts, surrounded by family and friends. The cake cutting was a private, intimate moment without any announcements. Toasts from the groom’s mother, the best man, and the bride’s father, along with a heartfelt thank you speech from Rennie, added a personal touch to the evening.
